PKR willing to work with Najib to save Malaysia: Wan Azizah
(Sun Daily) – PKR is willing to work with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak to save Malaysia, according to party president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (pix) which mirrors the stance of veteran DAP leader Lim Kit Siang.
The Permatang Pauh MP said her party could do the same as jailed de-facto party chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged all to put conflicts aside to save the country.
She nonetheless stressed that any cooperation with Najib should come with a set of terms and conditions to allow the country to progress.
“We cannot work together if doing so will bring losses to the country and Malaysians,” she said during a press conference today after attending a seminar on women’s empowerment where she urged women to actively participate in nation building.
Wan Azizah was asked on her response to Lim, who in his blog, explained what he meant when he said he was willing to work with any Malaysian, including
Najib.
Even so, the Gelang Patah MP outlined several conditions prior to any cooperation including freeing Anwar from prison and to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Other conditions include withdrawing amendments to the Official Secrets Act 1972, Sedition act 1948 and the National Security Council Bill.
He also called for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to be suspended, halving the size of the Cabinet and for the government to focus on health, housing and education.
