MCA: Does Hadi want Indonesians taking over Chinatown?
Malays have to submit themselves to more superior ‘Ketuanan Malays’ or serban wearing political hypocrites whose real interest is themselves and the powers that they want
(Malay Mail Online) – MCA lambasted PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang today for claiming that the Chinese dominated trade in Malaysia in his remarks against the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement.
MCA religious harmony bureau chairman Datuk Ti Lian Ker (pic) said a successful Chinese is an achievement for the nation and stressed that the Chinese do not sideline fellow Malaysians in commerce and trade.
“Is Hadi happier to see Indonesian traders taking over in Chow Kit Road or Myanmars (sic), Nigerians traders taking over Petaling Street?” Ti said in a statement.
“Islamophobia and Malay-phobic is no longer a fear of extremism but the reverse. The Malays and Muslims are continuously been fed with the fear of others ‘fear of Jews,’ ‘fear of Americans or Westerners,’ ‘fear of fellow Malaysians’ etc.
“But the real fear and enemies of Islam and Malays are these politicians who tried to scare or intimidate lesser or insecure Malays to submit themselves to more superior ‘Ketuanan Malays’ or serban wearing political hypocrites whose real interest is themselves and the powers that they want,” the MCA central committee member added.
Hadi accused yesterday the DAP of supporting the TPP because the Chinese control trade in Malaysia, claiming that it is the Bumiputera who are tired of the controversial US-driven Pacific trade treaty.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng reportedly said in response that all Pakatan Harapan MPs, including from his party, will vote against the TPP at the special Parliament sitting next week.
