Anwar: I never sent Ishak to meet Anifah

(Bernama) – PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told the High Court he never sent former KFC Holdings (M) Bhd deputy chairman Datuk Ishak Ismail as an agent to meet Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and get him to switch to the Opposition.

He also said that his last contact with Ishak was in 2004 when the latter visited him in Munich.

Anwar was testifying in a defamation suit against Anifah after the High Court here allowed the minister’s application to amend his statement of defence relating to the allegation that Anwar had offered him RM100 million to cross over to the Opposition from Barisan Nasional.
