Don’t be another Khalid, Guan Eng tells Azmin

Lim Guan Eng, in a light hearted tone, tells the Selangor MB that DAP will go after him if he keeps changing his mind like his predecessor.

(Free Malaysia Today) – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has gently reminded his Selangor counterpart, Azmin Ali, not to fall into the trap of being another Khalid Ibrahim.

Khalid, Azmin’s predecessor, was ousted on disciplinary grounds after he allegedly brought the PKR into public disrepute.

Lim was speaking at a DAP Serdang function where Azmin was listed as a guest but was unable to make it, according to a report in MalaysiaGazette.

It was reportedly Azmin’s absence that prompted Lim to wisecrack that the Selangor Menteri Besar should not keep changing his mind like his predecessor. “If he did that, we would not hesitate to criticize him the same way we tore into Khalid,” chuckled Lim in trying to inject humour into his speech.

“In other words, if Azmin becomes Khalid No. 2, we would go on the attack.”
