Selangor MB crisis: Pakatan needs to show clarity, says Ambiga
(The Star) – Pakatan Rakyat should be aware of the feelings of the people of Selangor who are getting sick of the crisis involving Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, said Negara-Ku coalition co-chair Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan.
“Pakatan should be aware that many in Selangor are truly sick of the present crisis. They need clarity fast,” said Ambiga in a tweet posted on her account, @Ambiga_S at 12.14 on Monday.
Her tweet was met with much support, having been retweeted 23 times as of 1.10pm, with seven tweets in reply to her.
“@Ambiga_S Yes As Selangorian we been played out. Claim to be dream team during election. Now one pillow with different dream, said @edmund_hawee.
Another Twitter user, @dupubird said; “@Ambiga_S spoken truth, agree, selangorian who are losing not the political parties, we losing time toward our improvement and development.”
However, others like @iqbalabd said what was needed was not clarity but for Pakatan politicians to stop playing games and to do their jobs.
Khalid was sacked from PKR last Saturday following his refusal to step down as mentri besar to pave the way for PKR president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to be Selangor’s next mentri besar.
This followed allegations of problems in the Selangor water restructuring exercise, increases in the mentri besar’s allowance, the increase in business licence taxes and the controversial Kinrara-Damansara Expressway.
Meanwhile, in SMSes to The Star Online, Ambiga explained what she meant when she said that many in Selangor needed clarity fast.
“I meant PAS has to get its act together and not keep the people waiting for its decision. The crisis has become tiring and tiresome. They should not presume upon the people’s patience,” she said.
