Sabah DAP No 2 quits

(Daily Express) – Sabah DAP deputy chairman, Fred Fung (pic) together with the DAP Kota Kinabalu Women Chief, Candy Wong have resigned from the party with immediate effect.

According to Fung, also resigning en bloc were women movement committee members of DAP Kota Kinabalu division.

The former candidate for DAP in the 2004 and 2008 general elections, Fung said he could no longer stand to deal with “ungrateful leaders” in the Sabah DAP without elaborating further.

“I have been giving my service to the party for more than 20 years but with the present situation I don’t think I have other choice but leave,” he said when met on Tuesday.

On his next move, Fung said he is not thinking of joining any other party yet.

It is noted that Fung together with Luyang Assemblyman, Hiew King Cheu had been in the forefront of the Sabah DAP before the emergence of the present line-up of leaders and elected representatives.

However, Hiew and Fung separated ways when the latter was elected as the deputy chairman of Sabah DAP and Jimmy Wong who is now Kota Kinabalu MP replacing Hiew as the chief of Sabah DAP.
