PM: Govt has to do more to address negative perceptions
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak with his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and ministers and deputy ministers in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) during the PMO’s monthly gathering in Putrajaya today.
(NST) – The government needs to improve on its ability to address negative perceptions , said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today.
He said the government might not be efficient in battling the war of perception which was at its peak as the country faced the 13th generation.
“There are many ways to address this, not only via face to face, but through facebook too.
“We can learn from this (referring to the 13th general election) to show the reality of the situation to the people including of the government’s success under various transformation programmes,” he said during his first morning assembly with the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office after the general election.
He said the intense negative perceptions during the election had led to paranoia and cast doubt on the country’s election process.
Najib said the time was ripe to move the country forward and not to look backward by wasting time on excessive politicking.
