RPK reveals more ‘damaging’ papers on Azmin
The blogger has posted new confidential documents in his blog detailing corruption investigations against PKR No 2 Azmin Ali.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin has come up with more documents allegedly implicating current PKR deputy president Azmin Ali for corruption.
In a Malaysia Today posting today, Raja Petra put up copies of documents detailing an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) against Azmin in 1995.
At the time, Azmin was Anwar Ibrahim’s – then the country’s Deputy Prime Minister- private secretary.
He did this following Azmin’s attack on the blogger via a Malaysiakini news story, who questioned the timing of Raja Petra’s (popularly known as RPK) expose.
The posted documents are labeled as secret.
His action has prompted the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) – the ACA’s predecessor- to lodge a police report at Putrajaya two days ago.
Raja Petra previously claimed that former ACA director-general Shafee Yahaya had put the case under cold storage; a charge the latter denied in a New Straits Times report today.
“Where’s the proof that I asked the investigation officer to stop his probe?” Shafee told the paper.
FMT previously reported that Raja Petra was willing to come back to Malaysia to face trial under the Official Secrets Act for revealing these documents.
He added that he would do so on the condition that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s government would prosecute Azmin for alleged corruption.
