You decide if Tajudin Ramli-Danaharta settlement a cover-up, says Dr M

(The Star) – Decide for yourself if it is a cover-up, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said of the out-of-court settlement between former MAS executive chairman Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli and Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd.

“This is a democratic country. If you think the Government is sweeping things under the carpet, you can always decide not to support the Government in the upcoming general election.

“They should also conduct a campaign of their own to open up and tell people how much public money have been spent,” he told a press conference at Perdana University on Wednesday.

Dr Mahahir was asked to comment whether the settlement concerning the civil suit filed six years ago should be made public.
