YB Ean Yong Hian Wah re FMT’s article titled ‘Why no action against councillor, DAP’

I am refering to the Free Malaysia Today’s article on the 13 February 2012 entitled “Why no action against councillor, DAP”, which I reasonably believe has been  based on unreliable sources giving inaccurate facts.

These attacks on the DAP and Lee Kee Hiong is thus politically motivated. In fact, Lee Kee Hiong has never owned any company directly and indirectly that received projects from the Selangor State government.

Besides, WSK Services is owned by Wong Siew Keng and Hong Chae Enterprise is owned by Wong Hong Chae. Thus, the allegation that Lee Wye Wing is the co-owner of these two companies is untrue.

I wish to stress here that the DAP branches have never received any cut or kickback or provided loans to any of the contractors or suppliers.

Most significantly, only State Assemblymen are empowered to appoint supplier and contractor to carry out constituency work. Therefore, to say that Lee Kee Hiong involved in decision-making is a baseless accusation.

In relation to this baseless accusation, the RCI which was probing the death of Teoh Beng Hock has clearly shown that there has never been corrupt practices involved and this baseless accusation was testified by the MACC investigation officer Ahmad Shafik(IW 50):

IW 50	:	Hasil daripada siasatan, tidak terdapat keterangan yang boleh mengaitkan YB Ean melakukan kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 18 Akta Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia 2009.
Mr. Awang Armadajaya	:	Adakah Seksyen 18 ini berkaitan dengan tuntutan palsu?
IW 50	:	Ya, Yang Arif.
Mr. Awang Armadajaya	:	Boleh beritahu kenapa dapatannya menyebut tiada keterangan yang mengaitkan YB Ean dengan kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 18 tersebut?
IW 50	:	Hasil Siasatan mendapati program dan projek yang dibuat tuntutan oleh YB Ean adalah dilakukan oleh pihak kontraktor.
Mr. Awang Armadajaya	:	Makna disempurnakan?
IW 50	:	Ya, ia disempurnakan.
Mr. Awang Armadajaya	:	Disempurnakan, ya. Mengikut spesifikasi?
IW 50	:	Mengikut spesifikasi.

There is also an unanswered issue as to why MACC remains silent until today although a police report had been lodged in 2009 concerning the “black blog” that appeared immediately after the  death of Teoh Beng Hock.

It accused DAP of murdering Teoh and using this accusation of distracting public attention from the real cause of his death. In fact, there were several documents that appeared on the “black blog” and which were also tabled during the RCI by MACC during the hearing. I strongly believe that these were the leakages from the MACC.

I view these leakages seriously as part of the important evidence which should be kept confidential by an enforcement agency that suppose to protect public interest, but instead they created unfounded story by attacking the DAP as an attempt to cover up its own shortcomings. The relevant question is, who in MACC responsible for the leakage? 

I strongly urge the anonymous coward who has been hiding behind the scene to stop spreading lies and baseless attacks against the credibility of DAP immediately.
