Joseph Brehem, what are you made of?
I personally cannot help but worry for Joseph Brehem.

Joseph Brehem is the French lawyer engaged by human rights NGO Suaram to look into the highly suspicious case of the purchase of French Scorpene submarines by Malaysia. He was in Malaysia recently trying to establish the alleged corruption involving a french shipbuilder company (DCN) and a Malaysian company providing ‘support and maintenance of submarines’ (Perimekar). RM 482 million in commission is said to have been paid to Perimekar for its ‘support and maintenance of submarines’. Joseph Brehem, however is suing DCN for giving too much ‘kickback’ to Perimekar. According to him, Perimekar not only did not have the expertise in ‘support and maintenance of submarines’, but also only formed several months before the submarine purchase was initiated.
The problem is, Perimekar is owned by Abdul Razak Baginda, a close friend of Malaysian current Prime Minister. The other problem is, Abdul Razak Baginda was a friend of Altantuya, a Mongolian woman who was murdered under suspicious circumstances. Altantuya was also said to be involved in assisting the purchase of the submarines.
Joseph Brehem is therefore about to cause much uneasiness among the top people in Malaysia. Not unlike what Bruno Manser and Altantuya have done in the past. Will Joseph Brehem become another foreign casualty? What is he made of?
Unfortunately, from what we know so far. He is just a lawyer. No indication if he is from an aristocratic family in French or at least from some well known and very influential family. He is not a cabinet members of French Parliament, he is not a political figure. He is not a celebrity and he is not somebody we have heard of before.
Joseph Brehem is a nobody.
