Show-cause letter against Hasan Ali
(The Star) – Selangor PAS Commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali is facing the possibility of being relieved of his position or even being sacked from the party if its disciplinary committee find him guilty of acting against the party’s interest.
PAS disciplinary committee chairman Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said a show-cause letter had been issued to Dr Hasan and several other party leaders.
Among the possible actions that could be taken against Dr Hasan are having his membership frozen or being sacked from the party, Tuan Ibrahim told online news portal mStar yesterday.
He said the party’s disciplinary committee had sent the letters to Dr Hasan and few other PAS state leaders last week. However, he declined to name the other leaders.
“Investigations are underway,” he said.
On whether there was a case against Dr Hasan as this juncture, he stressed there was and Dr Hasan has been given ample time to answer all the accusations against him.
“He has to prove that his actions were not against the party’s constitution,” he said.
Dr Hasan has been accused among others, of nit-picking, attempting to discredit Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and even telling “blatant lies” in his criticism of the assembly’s Select Committee on Competency, Accountability and Transparency.
