Yeah, tell me to fcuk off, see if I care. As long as the editors keep on publishing my letters, you guys are gonna cop it from me. So will the Pakatan reps that have failed their constituents.
MT is a magnet for all Malaysians that felt hard done by the BN government. Some are educated people that can differentiate between what is right and what is wrong, regardless of political party and affiliations, whilst some are idealists that think that anyone representing Pakatan can do no wrong. Some read what is actually written before commenting and some couldn’t be bothered and just start whacking the author immediately after reading the title. Woe befalls those who dare to stand up and criticize these Gods within the pages on MT and be branded as pro-BN dogs.
Before I even continue, tell me this, “Is Hee a good fellow 24 hours before she became a frog and a female dog 24 hours after she betrayed PR?” What about Zaid? Is he a BN running dog when he was with UMNO and a saint immediately after he left it?
Praise ye the fighters against BN and hallelujah, for these god-personified beings are faultless. Condemn these fighters and be prepared to cop jack shit (as Simon Templar recently experienced).
And then there are the many commentators that make the evaluation of certain PR politicians based on a time factor. “Give them more time for they are inexperience”, so they said. Yeah, sure BN will give them more time. Yeah, sure God will lengthen the time between now and the next federal elections so that these people become more experienced. Yeah, sure the fence-sitters will take this into consideration when they next enter the polling booth. Yeah, sure I will allow them more time but how long do they need? Two years? Twenty years?
The MT forum where registered readers can air their views is not a bad concept but there are too many “Pakatan-for-life” readers that cannot accept constructive criticisms when offered. So tell me this, “what happens when PAS decides to leave Pakatan?” Can’t happen? Well, it is happening now with the “unity” faction and look at the votes Nasharuddin obtained. What was supposedly a tight fight between the conservatives and liberals turned out to be a rout. It means that the PAS grassroots are defying Tok Guru and this spells trouble. Pakatan is a coalition between PAS, PKR and DAP. Without PAS, there is no Pakatan. What become of these “Pakatan-for-life” supporters thenceforth?
And then there are the “lesser of two evils” supporters. Why settle for something less? Yes, no government is perfect and we should not be expecting so but the question remains, “Why settle for less?” Pakatan could ideally be almost perfect. Anyone here doubt that RPK is doing all he can to help Malaysia? What if we obtain a Pakatan government full of RPKs? Isn’t that great? Well, what’s stopping us? Impossible? Can it be that RPK is so distinct that there isn’t anyone in Malaysia that can hold a candle up to him? If not, why can’t we hope for better and not just choosing the lesser of the two evils?
If Pakatan reps cannot be criticized, then they are already perfect and there is no more need to root out the “bad apples”. Is this pre-Hee or post-Hee?
One must understand that giving it “kau-kau” to the Pakatan reps is a way in which the supporters are telling them to buck up. Instead of evaluating if these wayward reps are guilty of negligence on their part (accidentally or incidentally), there are those that believe in the fact that these “gods” are untouchable and anyone daring enough to post negative comments are automatically pro-BN.
Can’t accept that these people are mortals with failings? Remember this: Politicians are politicians no matter which side they are on.
