Jeremy Corbyn to meet Anwar Ibrahim on Friday and more Members of Parliament to sign the EDM tomorrow

MALAYSIA AND ANWAR IBRAHIM
15.03.2010

Corbyn, Jeremy

That this House recognises Malaysian Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim's contribution to promoting democracy in Malaysia and peace and understanding between the Muslim world and the West; is deeply concerned at the charges laid against Anwar Ibrahim and that his current trial flouts international standards of fairness and adherence to the rule of law; notes that this trial resembles the one he faced in 1998 in which the conduct of the judiciary was condemned by Malaysians and by the international community; further notes the renewed exhortations by international human rights organisations including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch and prominent leaders from Commonwealth nations including the Right honourable Paul Martin of Canada and the Right honourable Michael Danby and 59 other elected representatives of Australia for the Malaysian government to drop the charges against Anwar Ibrahim; and calls on the Malaysian authorities to bring an end to the harassment and persecution of members of the political opposition.

In Malaysia Sodomy is considered the most heinous crime in Islam and offenders must be punished most severely. They must be jailed for as long as possible to prevent such carriers from infecting others in society.smilies/wink.gif

KJ should go protest in front of UK high Commission. How they interfere in Malaysia's affairs? These people are non-muslims and how can such unbelievers be fit to understand how holy and sacred we uphold the sanctity of Islam in this country, and if Islam's great name is to be sullied by any politician who have committed such an offensive and heinous crime like sodomy, we must take the sternest action even to the extent of jailing him for 20 years so that nobody would ever dare commit sodomy freely on our holy islamic soils again!! We have the right to defend our country and uphold our high Islamic standards. We even cane women for illicit sex. But this is normal sex unlike sodomy which is regarded as most heinous and bring the greatest shame to Islam.

TO BE EFFECTIVE..

The commonwealth countries need not even have to impose economic sanction becos it will be us ordinary citizens who will suffer.

I SAY that it will be enough for all the parliamentarians all over our friendly countries to keep harping on the fact that Malaysians majority do not believe in the charges for the following reasons.

A. That UMNO had tried SODOMY one before and it was later overturned by the courts.

B. That UMNO appointed new corrupted judges to try their SODOMY two, meaning the UMNO regime has really run out of ideas how to beat the opposition.

C. the commonwealth parliamentarians must emphasis that they ARE NOT defending sodomy or arguments about consenting adults BUT the fact that the charges are proven BULLSHIT.

D. That the Malaysian govt of UMNO are wasting our tax money on trying to kill Anwar while to date they have not solved the ALTANTUYA Murder, meaning that the govt of malaysia is made up of A mafia regime of murderers...

hence the foreign parliamentarians must keep telling their mass media how BAD the regime of UMNO really is..

CAn any of you MT members contact all these parliamentarians from the commonwealth coutnries and US?

Wake up and smell the coffee, Najib. Nobody believes in your fake charges against Anwar. Nobody at all except some hard core Umno supporters and only if you pay them. Get it?

And please don't imagine that your lapdog judiciary can convince the public that justice has been done. No, sir! The public will not be impressed by the crude parody of justice and justice sodomized by your lapdog judges.

I have to say this here and now, that the current admonishments from the various countries around the world are probably not enough to make this happen. The Malaysian government will just thumb their nose up at them and say "not to interfere with our internal affairs". Therefore, I feel that something stronger has to happen, e.g. economic sanctions and the like, or even better, admonishment from Saudi Arabia the spiritual HQ of Islam. Strong international pressure, like economic sanctions, might effect the Malaysian population negatively but, like general labour strikes, some suffering is needed to really affect change. Ultimately, this involves more than just Anwar. Its about the future of Malaysia and all Malaysians. Do we really want the current tyrannical government to be in place then where, by then, they have gotten themselves so entrenched that it would be all but impossible to remove them? If the international community starts considering these options, then it would also be possible that the Malaysian government will capitulate or at the very least it would bring about mediation.

Mr. Jeremy Corbyn, thank you very much for speaking up for all Malaysians and those around the globe who champion the cause for justice and individual rights. It is inevitable that Anwar shall be put behind bars no matter how deafening loud is the protest, cos' the biased sentence shall be meted out by none other than the kangaroo court of Malaysia, the court that pardons the guilty ones and the killers, but crucifies the innocents..

Mr. Jeremy, may God bless you and your counterparts, may God bless you with good health and happiness!!

Anwar Ibrahim is the only person who can bring democracy to Malaysia. When the country is democratic then the rakyat will keep the government honest and transparent. If Malaysia is ever going to become a developed nation it will have to become democratic.

Anwar and RPK will go down in Malaysian history as the people who almost brought in democracy or succeeded in bringing in democracy to Malaysia. Mahathir and Najib will go down in the history books as the demons of Malaysia.

Thank you to all democratic countries of the world who are trying the help Malaysia reach democracy.

The London Bar should remove the judge presiding over Anwar’s sodomy trial from all the Inns and boards in UK. The judge has made so many unlawful decisions already so it should not be a problem, and it would be a major blow to the government of Malaysia.

Traditionally based on United Kingdom's judiciary and parliamentary system, Malaysia is now pressured to respond to the former's call to drop Anwar's charges. This is going to put the Attorney General and Prime Minister in a tight spot. Are they going to tell the British to 'mind their own business' as they did the Australian Parliament and the Ex-Prime Minister of Canada?

I guess to push the point across, the British could (if the admonishment is not taken seriously) slap a Commonwealth Nations economic sanction on Malaysia, and Canada and Australia would not only 'mind' but 'take' their own businesses somewhere else too, ei?

And what is Khairy going to tell the British? That Malaysia has adapted but over time, effectively perverted the British's judiciary and parliamentary systems once handed down to Malaysia as a stepping stone for independence governance?

Good luck to you UMNO goons. Let's see how you tackle the Queen's Parliamentarians.

This is one ad the Malaysian Tourism Ministry does not have to spend a cent. "To love Malaysia is to see Malaysia 2010 : A country free of murder, corruption ,bribery ,but we love sodomy. For Sodomy entertainment drop by Kuala Lumpur before you proceed to Bangkok."

On MAS flights the warning 'death for drug trafficking" to be replaced by " Malaysia warns, one party to the Sodomy can swear on the holy book and its laws can be selectively applied" So enjoy while you are in beautiful loving Malaysia"

Malaysia is the epicenter of sodomy, which is what being shamelessly conveyed to the world by the UMNO goons.

Firstly, well done whatever pressure group/people or person behind this initiative.

Just a while back, it was the Aussie MP's showing support and voicing their concern of Anwar's persecution and now, we find the UK gallery taking the same stance. I must add, this is all well coordinated though I had reservations of Anwar taking his persecution onto the international front.

Wonder how Rocky Bru and the Malay press would report this Early Day Motion forwarded in Parliament today ? Never before has there been a Malaysian agenda presented, never ever.

This is history in the making, front page stuff this spiced up allegation of sodomy on a bright spark. Through meticulous PR, Anwar has always been well receive on the world stage and certainly ranks as a select few legitimate Muslim statesman who has the ears of world leaders. I guess it pays to have friends in high places ie Al Gore.

Oppositely, what does UMNO have ? 10 UMNO bodoh's doesn't add up to 1 Anwar Ibrahim does it ?

All along, this ongoing Sodomy 2 trial was a stretch too far with libel, tall tales, defamation, slander and plain lies of any order thrown in for purpose of character assassination. Now, how is Najib going to explain to the world his involvement with Saiful Tonggeng ? And that of Altantuya ! With "Ching Ming" round the corner, don't be surprise she pays Razak Baginda, Najib and Rosmah a visit, seriously.

Najib and UMNO have painted themselves into a corner with their high stakes game of bluff. All this has captured world attention, like it or not, and situation is turning uglier by the minute. It is going to be fun while we wait see UMNO's response having been caught off guard.

While UMNO, Najib, Mahathir and all them Supreme Councils Bodoh's were scratching their balls, Anwar was constantly working the channels (like a good diplomat) and working hard to gain the support of his peers on the international front. That effort is paying off with his vast network of 'friends', all stepping up to the plate lending their voices.

Easy enough to fool a large sector of Malay masses but on the international front, the plot just doesn't add up and won't stand up to scrutiny. Again, marvelous effort and a job well done to whoever who was advancing this Early Day Motion. I'll drink one and many more in your honour.

Hello KJ and Pemuda UMNO,

When are you people going to jump up and down like monkeys to deliver you "memorandum bantahan" to the British Embassy? I guess you people are thick-skinned. People around the world thought this Sodomy II is a sham and that the Malaysian Judiciary system stinks to high heaven.

You wanted to embarrassed Anwar, but it turns out your UMNO regime got the real embarrassment. And mind you, “ini satu dunia punya malu”.

And hello Butt Groper Ambassador in Washington! Please fly to London. . ., looks like the Embassy in London needs your help to spin some stories about the “impartiality” of our Judiciary system. You need to spin some stories too to the British MP that UMNO’s future does not depend on Sayfool’s arsehole!

Good luck to you UMNO regime . . ., you are not only being despised in your own country but around the globe too!
