How cabinet appointments fail the nation
Surely, if we are to achieve all the development goals that our prime ministers have been so fond of announcing, what we need are appointments based on meritocracy. Not political patronage nor family ties nor positions within a party.
By Jacqueline Ann Surin, The Nut Graph
HERE'S what I want to know: why was Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein appointed to the cabinet, and why is he still a minister despite an appalling track record of saying and doing the wrong things?Hishammuddin's statements as Home Minister since he was sworn into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's administration in April 2009, betray either how clueless or disrespectful he is about human rights, democratic principles and gender equality.
Examples abound. Most notably:

Hishammuddin may as well have said this...(all pics of Hishammuddin courtesy of theSun)
Hishammuddin famously said he was "thankful" that no "serious incidents" occurred in Perak on 7 May 2009 despite police action in arresting scores of people, including elected representatives, and the unlawful imprisonment of Perak Speaker V Sivakumar.

He also famously declared that lawyers were not above the law in justifying the arrest of five legal aid lawyers who were trying to represent their clients who had been arrested at the Brickfields police station on the night of 7 May 2009. It wasn't just the Bar Council who was outraged, even the MCA was appalled at the arrest of lawyers who were merely doing their job. But Hishammuddin still found it fit to defend such police action.

...also this...
Of course, the starkest example of the kind of minister Hishammuddin is was demonstrated when he not only welcomed the Shah Alam cow-head protestors, he also defended them. With Hishammuddin's powerful and public legitimisation of bigotry and the threat of violence against Hindus in Malaysia, I reckon that Hishammuddin's behaviour was far more shameful than the protestors'. After all, his is a public office paid for by all tax-paying Malaysians to protect the nation's, and not some thugs', interest.

The problem is our feudalistic mentality. Razak was PM, so must be his son, Najib. Hishamuddin's father was somebody. So must be his son. Now Mahthir's son should also be the future PM. In a feudalistic society, greatness is inherited. So are capability and intelligence. It also happens with royalty. The fawning peasants are there because they choose to be peasants, not someone better, They cannot comprehend they can be better. They condemn themselves because of their poorer birth rights. What can you do with these people?
They walk around in circles because they are such idiots and sycophants.

And some have greatness trust upon them.
I guess Hisabmuddin didn't get greatness due to any of the above.
He got it twirling his little keris over his head like how Iskandar Zulkarnian did with his sword.

Hishammuddin to be honest is a pretty nice fellow privately. But when I follow what he has done in each of his ministry he served, its pretty much pathetic pencil-pushing more than anything else. The good thing about him is also he is not radical and each ministry he helms, they don't do anything radical either..
Yes, Hishamuddin may say some really stupid things BUT if people don't get it, anyone else and likely there would be dead bodies lying on the street or people dissapearing and never return unlike Bala..

1) He is a disgrace to all Malaysian as a minister.
2) He is a disgrace to UMNO for low grade trash talking, unknowingly showing the true ugly face of UMNO, but can't call that a disservice to the public.
3) He is a disgrace to himself, a supposedly educated man.
4) Worst of all, he is a disgrace to Oon Jaffar’s blood line.

We all know that the only reason Hishamuddin is where he is is because of family ties. He is also aware of all the corrupt practices and crimes undertaken by UMNO and as such, he cannot be sidelined by any PM. Look at how low our education system sunk during his tenure as Minister of Education.
If not for his family ties, this racist pariah will be selling chicken rice at Pudu bus stop.

You are being very generous to describe Krismuddin as "clueless" & "disrepectful" about human rights. democratic principles & gender equality.
The truth of the matter is that he is "brainless" & "totally devoid of grey matter".
He had wasted the good Tun Hussein 's moneys in bringing him up & providing him with education.
He is not even fit to carry the bag of his previous senior law firm partner Dato' Thomas whose good name precedes Krismuddin's very bad & most foul name..
We are all baffled how he managed to get his LLB? This some of us are "clueless"!

Since when the ministers are rational anyway? I can't remember any of them being rational! Typical Malaysian stupid ministers! Nothing to be proud of! They got the position there because of links & bribes! They might as well pick the biggest "ball" on the park!

The only decent thing to do for people like these is harakiri. Imagine what you need to qualify as a minister in this country. Just act like this animal here.
These are all hired assassins - paid for by the tax payers money.
