A gathering dubbed Himpunan Sujuta Umat (Himpun), which aims to gather a million Muslims against alleged Christian proselytising, will be held at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday. That is the focus of the Malays, kaypoh into other people’s affairs. Now see what is happening all over the world, which the Malays do not seem to care about. And we want the Malays to progress like this?

Please allow me to re-post my comment yesterday around 8 morning (which has good responses), so to bring this message to wider readers. As a person that doesn't want people to regard me a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or whatever, but look at me as a person, or in Malay, seorang insan, I believe this is the attitude everyone should have.
"Jangan jadi bodohlah. Kalau orang nak jadi orang Kristian, jadilah. Sebaliknya, kalau orang Kristian nak jadi orang Islam, jadilah asalkan orang orang ini masih orang yang baik selepas itu. Buat apa bising bising orang lain curi orang kamu. Buat apa bagaikan orang yang tak seugama musuh kamu?
Janganlah jadi bodoh. Masaalah korupsi, curi wang negara bukankah lebih teruk?"

You may think this is off-tangent but pls bear with me. In Malaysia, anyone who tries to convert Muslims to Christianity will get into serious trouble. I dunno if a law is in place to punish those who attempt. But why doesn't the law protect us non-Christians as well from being pursued by extremists trying to convert us at every attempt they can. In the office, if we know a certain staff is a born-again human, we avoid that creature like he/she got AIDs. We make all kinds of excuses to "run away".... that's my personal experience and a few others of my colleagues. Recently a relative of a colleague got involved in a very serious accident and the vic had his skull cut open to release pressure, etc. So the manager who is a serious born-again called my colleague to her room & behind closed doors, suggested that born-again & a few others of the same cloth go to the hospital to pray. Naturally the offer was rejected & instead a Thai old master was called to chant whereupon within one week, the vic awoke from coma. I think there should be a law in place to prevent this kind of incursions - I won't vote for BN cos BN doesn't protect people like me or my friends who are continously accosted by these born-again who try to BRAINWASH us. I appeal to all born-again, please stop doing that; one of these fine days, I will lodge a police report!

Look! Does this represent the deep rooted self-righteous thinking of Muslim...
They think air, earth etc are all created by their almighty ALLAH ( dear, even one use GOD instead of crowing ALLAH will offend them... like infringement on a patented ALLAH), if you do not wear a Islamic hat and pay homage to ALLAH, you are pagan, and deep in their mind, you are sinful, hopeless, unless you are one day being converted to their one-and-only-one path....Sword or Koran, your choice... They live in their UNTOUCHABLE and UNQUESTIONABLE self-righteous kingdom, sending their warriors to convert pagans to multiply their numbers.
When Muslims flooding the shore of Australia or US as refugee, the first year they get all benefits from tay payers money, learn to speak English, get the training... the second year they are wielding their human rights fists to gain schools, mosques,
The 3rd year they start to query why the whites girls polluted their eyes by not wearing BURKA in swimming pool, mocking women scantily cladded --showing white meat to lure them from concentrating in praying X5,....
They are so offended that everything in earth not wearing an ISLAMIC hat, not breathing ISLAMIC air, bathing ISLAMIC water, intercourse by way of ISLAMIC sex...
The ReturnTheCaliph seed's of " ONLY MUSLIMS ARE RIGHT, YOU ALL WRONG", " ALLAH is only GOD-- others are all false" will eventually sprout and grow wild..., other species are poisonous weeds, their are fragant flower...., their great MISSION is to convert sinful pagans.
The following is the regretful story of HOW THE FEEDING HANDS ARE BITTEN:
The Arabs are not happy!!!
· They are not happy in Gaza.
· They are not happy in the West Bank.
· They are not happy in Jerusalem.
· They are not happy in Israel.
· They are not happy in Egypt.
· They are not happy in Libya.
· They are not happy in Algeria.
· They are not happy in Tunis.
· They are not happy in Morocco.
· They are not happy in Yemen.
· They are not happy in Iraq.
· They are not happy in Afghanistan.
· They are not happy in Syria.
· They are not happy in Lebanon.
· They are not happy in Sudan.
· They are not happy in Jordan.
· They are not happy in Iran.
Where are the Arabs happy?
They are happy in England.
They are happy in France.
They are happy in Italy.
They are happy in Germany.
They are happy in Sweden.
They are happy in Holland.
They are happy in Denmark.
They are happy in Belgium.
They are happy in Norway.
They are happy in the U.S.
They are happy in Canada.
They arehappy in Romania.
They are happy in Hungary,
They are happy in Australia.
They are happy in New Zealand.
They are happy in any other country in the world that is not under a Muslim rule.
And whom do they blame?
Not Islam
Not their leadership
Not themselves
But the same countries in which they are happy to live.
This is so true...
Democracy is really good for them.
In a democracy they can live comfortably,
enjoy the high quality of life which they did not build and work for,
they don’t have to be productive and earn a living,
they can be wild, and break the law, exploit the social services,
wear Burka’s and make a mockery of our Police and Courts
and
generally bite the hand that feeds them.
My question is why do they always try to bring their failed system with them, why do they want to turn Australia into the country they left for a better life?
Australian Muslims make up less than 3%
of our population yet our Government is fixated on pandering to them...
Why??

This has been hampered by UMNO and their ball licking dogs for 52 bloody F**king years!!!!

The are many cases in Malaysia whereby people are converting to gain something & they don't practice the new faith hearthfully & living as chameleon.

it is my right to express what i feel, but i promise i will be fair.(and tbh i could care less of what the haters/fanboys think of me)
First off, this part right here is aimed at the malays, and i think it is only fair that i humbly request the audience of malays and only them to thumb me up/down. no disrespect to the MT readers/commenters, i just want to know how many malay readers do we actually have here in MT,reading. and from there i shall begin my point--
1) Malays dont read.
hey i am just as anyone else guilty of being slightly lazy, but i pride myself and whoever that is associated with me regardless of race/religion/political affiliation for doing enough homework on a subject before even speaking about it. the question is--
a)what is "enough"--at least to discuss about?
there's no answer to that. hence the existence of discussing ideas/opinions. because without a proper conversation filled with ideas--1)you do not get to understand the difference between opinion and facts,2)you do not elevate your conversational skills to at least a degree of separating emotions from context, 3)you do not move deeper within the subject and HERE lies the problem.
--what can the "scholars" speak about that we arent allowed to?
once upon a time in your so called "golden age of Islam"---Nothing. (i'd be more than happy to be corrected by those that know better).. ..because when homework is done, society becomes educated, the borders of conversation become free, conversational maturity ensues and the scholars might finally understand the woes of the dynamic community.and that is why Islam had a Golden Age--
KNOWLEDGE.
now let's take it back to the archipelago. this is where some things may clash. Islam was much more of a Sultanate trend rather than their subjects'.(be nitpicky all u want, but u know i have a point).not until Munshi Abdullah and his British cheerleaders, did the people start shifting the kerajaan back to the rakyat. Consequently the rulers also lost a lot of their power.
but that being said, were the rakyat Muslim because of a trend, or because of self-discovery? now i am Malay. and i am also a Muslim (because i choose to be). Reading both histories will drive you towards a confusing geographic collision of ethnicity and religion. Because what Islam is is pretty clear. but what Malay is isnt.
but my point here is in relation to what RPK has mentioned above. there are plenty of things to worry about in this world.of course Money being the central idea. but if the people had to worry about internal issues first and argue about the most trivial islamic things, then can we at least get to the factual consensus of these trivial things? can we shift it towards making Malays aware that we are not bred like the Arabs, we can be more like the Turks,or that we are uniquely Malay Muslim???
and can the branding be better than what has been proposed by UMNO?i mean come on, i hate it when the non malays racist-ly classify all malays and muslims into one group that theyve never probably shared a room with in the first place, but the politicians do come on screen quite a bit and embarrass me and my very malay family..there has to be more of a SUBSTANCE group of malays out there, isnt there?!?! or are they all in Singapore?
RPK,i propose we bring in more malay readers to this site and close a chapter every week on all trivial matters from the very basics that may deviate the force away from a unified struggle against any resistance that would rather milk the country dry than see a better Malaysia.
p.s. before we head into a bigger battle like corruption/gov policy/what not, let's remove the stereotype of the market. i lived with christians, chinese, buddhists, indian friends who are very close to me. i even have Jewish friends. they are wonderful people.
and when i pray, they pray as well
i wish for all my malay brothers to see this--

if islam is a religion of abundance, there is no need for privilege seeking.
if islam is a religion of peace, there is no constant need to take offense.
if islam is such a great religion, no amount of proselytizing will work.
if proselytizing muslims is against the law in this country, F**king prosecute already!
if you don't have enough evidence, shut the F**k up already; no amount of show of solidarity will change the fact that you've made your religion into a social stigma.

The more i read the comments here, the more convinced I am that the non-Malays are hypocrites in their own way. Islam holds a very important place in the lives of Muslims. Religion is important to Muslims. Muslims are more interested in the afterlife and what happens to our souls than the transient world. Muslims are concerned that the ummah are turning away from the truth. Islam teaches us to be social and how to relate to one another.
Why is it wrong to demonstrate our aspirations to prevent further encroachment into the ummah by teachings of other religions, which Muslims see as false? What is wrong with showing the ummah the right way?
Why can't Muslims demonstrate when Bersih can?
Hypocrites!

I believe HIMPUN's target audience should be those who were not aware of symptoms that spread apostasy in silence, however, will such groups come to this kind of assembly?
Do not point fingers at other religions. See for yourself, what the Muslims done to strengthen the faith of Muslims. In fact, do we really deal with the issue of apostasy?
Is the Islamic da'wah consistently spread to Muslims in Malaysia? How many da'wah movement formed at the government level? Organizing Musabaqah Al-Quran yearly is not enough!!
With HIMPUN, apostasy will be cured? How many non-Muslims would be attracted to Islam? How many Muslims who have fallen will repent??

Look forward to UMNO unveiling their true ugly racist face. Well, it could be an anticlimax ending in last minute cancelation due to lack of participants. , the Malays are no longer as dumb the UMNO wishes them to be.

That there is not one mosque of considerable size in the country built solely financed by public donations from the indigenous population, in the last 50 or so years, is a telling commentary of how firebrand zealots have failed in their duty as pious God-fearing individuals to build the Community or as my Muslim friends say the Ummah. Every Jamek mosque we see in the country comes largely from the initiative and donations of Indian Muslims who toiled at least 16 hours a day. Even this fact is not appreciated as we see how this particular community protested when KL City Hall decided to build the ugly structure to cover up the frontage of Masjid Jamek. Close Indian Muslim friends could only sigh in frustration as they confront Ketuanan Melayu expressed in ways no Muslims could be proud of. When the occasion fits UMNO’s game-plans royal interventions will be quickly summoned but otherwise the spoils will be shared exclusively by UMNO members.
I remember the occasions as a young boy buying roti canai from my favourite mamak coffee shop, dropping a coin once in a while, from my weekly pocket money, into the donation tin found in almost all mamak coffee shops then. As a non-Muslim I felt good to be able to make my small donations. Those were good years unblemished by the politics of failed politicians needing to catch up with the crowd that have already made it big because of the right affiliation. Do I still feel good? I do because I still have lots of Muslim friends including those I met while studying overseas - great human beings like the rest of the people in the host country, the U.K.
Have a great time shouting and showing your neck's varicose veins but remember Heaven is watching.

2. Why are we not concerned over bigger, pressing, more important issues? It is because we are narrow minded and short sighted. By and large, the global economic woes has yet to cause drastic changes to the lives of the Malaysians so they don't think it's an issue which will affect Malaysia. It won't be long before all these economic issues hit us as Malaysia is also plugged into the global economy. RPK, it's worthwhile doing a piece on Malaysia's actual debt and income figures. The Malaysia budget usually has a higher expenditure as compared to income. How long can that go on for? Which household can continue to spend more than they earn indefinitely?
3. It's reflects inconsistancy to see that "pro-opposition" people who were so angry that Bersih 2.0 was not allowed because it's democratic to be allowed to "berhimpun" are now UPSET that this gathering has been approved. I agree that the issuing of licensing has NOT been consistent and has been politicized. However, if one is impartial, they should be happy the democratic right of being allowed to gather for a common cause is allowed. All those who claim to be pro-democracy should be rejoicing.

A SMALL GROUP OF UMNO PAID AGGITATORS WILL DELIBERATELY CAUSE UNHEAVEAL BY BEATING UP SOME INNOCENT INDIAN OR CHINESE BYSTANDER AND UNMO WILL SAY THEIR PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY PARTICIPANTS WERE INSTIGATED BY THE OTHER RACES. OF COURSE THE UPHEAVEL MUST BE BIG ENOUGH TO INCITE THE REST OF THE PARTICIPANTS TO CAUSE THEM TO RUN AMOK. AND TAKE ON THE STREETS OF KL.
WELL, SEE WHAT HAPPEN THEN. RIOTS BREAKS OUT. THE UMNO GOVERNMENT WILL DECLARE EMERGENCY AND THEN SUSPEND THE PARLIMENT. DECLARE EMERGENCY LAW AND AMEND THE CONSTITUTION TO ENSHRINE THE BUMIPUTRAS PRIVILEGES AND IN DOING SO GUARANTEE THEIR RULE.
SOUNDS FAMILIAR? ABDUL RAZAK'S MARK11 AND UMNO'S PLOY. THEY HAVE BEEN DESPERATE TO BRING ABOUT SUCH SENARIO FOR QUITE SOME TIME WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS AS THEY ARE UNABLE TO FOOL MANY OF THE YOUNG RATIONAL THINKING MALAYS WHO SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO DIE FOR THE SAKE OF THE CORRUPTED MUSLIMS.

A leader who takes his actions seriously, who knows the heavy burden a leader carries, tell those who want to be leaders that its not just god's laws that need to be implemented but evils surrounding administration needs to be rooted out so that islamic ideals can be accepted universally. Lead by blardi example for heavens sake, if hudud was to be implemented it should be executed on all the muslim leaders first.....ade berani? sudah lah, dua dua pon sama! And talk about Lobbying goddammit, its the lobby that controls malaysia, if 2 parti 1 lobby what the hell would be the difference, you can be politically correct as hell but if you bend the laws for a parties own benefit....wth is the difference????

For as long as I can remember RELIGION has been a very intimidating issue during my days at the "bangku sekolah " in a primary school in a small village . In those days Christianity was already very actively seaping into the villages , estates , farms and fishing communes . The Muslim missionary movements was way behind the strides taken by the Christian missioners to spread the joy and goodwill of Christianity . The congregations grew and sermons were tailored to be delivered in English, Chungyi, Hockchew , Hokkien and Tamil !
Bugis and Javanese kampongs had their own mosques and suraus while a mosque will find itself erected somewhere in the in the middle of the towns. And "drum beats" from all such mosques will be sounded at the particular time to "believers" to gather themselves for the "Friday" prayers and sermons ,
Those "drum beats" were truly very traditional and unique to my mind as a child "kafir" . Of course more "orang Asli" began to be seen to have embraced the "Islamic faith" then as the two communities began to interact in many ways . There were occasional cases of Chinese and Indians being converted and embraced the I"Islamic faith" whenever they took Muslim women to be their wives . During those days the " body snatching" of Muslim converts had already begun , perhaps much earlier, too , if such a convert had died in his non-Muslim home . And the usual "shock and surprise" will be exhibited by the "traumatized" family of not knowing that the demised person had converted . Male adults in Chinese families would proudly bring home legally married Muslim (Malay) wives bringing extreme shocks to their families because they had to accommodate the new family member with a different culture . And they dared not think further of the consequences of their sons who had taken Muslims as their brides .
Such situations have become more traumatic and aggressively handled in the present day because of faults from different quarters and incompetent methods of gaining more conversions.
As time goes by , Christianity advancements in the nation has been checked and nip in the buds by the ruling power to stifle its expansions . Mission schools in the nation began to see the dwindling numbers of missionary qualified school teachers ( Brothers and Sisters). Mission schools situated at strategically economic zones became the targets of "green-eyed" politicians of the ruling power . The whole structure of Seremban "CONVENT OF THE HOLY INFANT JESUS" , due to one reason or another , has now completely disappeared and the grounds is now a gigantic pond in the middle of Seremban.
Saint Paul's Primary School had years earlier been razed and replaced with a "failed" commercial centre , also in the middle of Seremban . In exchange of its olden colonial buildings that primary school was then replaced with a new- look building in Bukit Kaya somewhere near Lobak . The days of such missionary efforts are truly soon to be over in the nation . Malays who had a stint in such schools have never become apostate and most , if not all , are very upright citizens today !
Like the past , today religious intimidation is still happening in schools from as young as those who are already in Primary Three in all if not most schools . Teachers and the school authorities in such schools must be very receptive of such incidents happening among students in the classrooms .
Teach the students to respect the beliefs and faiths of other students as the other students are also to
do likewise .
Teach the students that religion is between the person and his belief only .
Teach the students that no one religion is superior to another .
Teach the students that all religions whether true of false is always up to the "believer" and has no concern with another person of a different faith or belief .
In short , they must learn to "mind their own business" !
Last but not least , they must be made aware that there are people who have no beliefs and are not attached to any religion and are simply known as "Atheists" !
Hopefully , much aggression and intimidation will be reduced in school years as early as Primary Three ! Teachers whatever their faiths or no faiths may be , must always be neutral when dealing with such issues . School Principals , too, must be the same and should hold sessions with teachers at teachers' meetings to bring up such issues from time to time !
A law should be erected to prevent deliberate proselytizing of any religion at all without exception ! Had we included this in the Constitution much frictions would have been reduced ! And no need to debate so much in the medias !

And as usual this group will be a dumb group that does not think about the outcomes of such a move except to cow the minority group to silence. Isn't this how suicide bombers started. Jews control the media, government and finance as part of a “Jew world new order”. Besides rewrote the Torah & Bible, Jews also kill many prophets and some of them were Yahya (John Baptist), Zachariah (Zakaria), Elijah (Illyas) uncle of Mother Mary and crucification of Jesus Christ (Isa) which Muslims say that he was elevated by God Almighty and not crucified.
They rewrote the Torah to make it permissible for money to be lent on interest to non-Jews while yet maintaining the prohibition against usury (riba) in intra-Jewish ... - Jews were the one who initially introduced paper money in the world.
