That is the focus of the Malays, kaypoh into other people’s affairs. Now see what is happening all over the world, which the Malays do not seem to care about. Let them have any himpunan (S) to propogate the goodness of Islam. Let them hold their himpunan all over the world if it is for love and care for human being and to make this world a PARADISE on earth. But if this himpunan is to preach hatred and not love and care for human being then it could be that this himpunan is inspired by SATAN himself to create hate and distruction among a peaceful and loving people of this country.
So folks let us be the judge and see how this himpunan can create peace and harmony. smilies/wink.gifsmilies/wink.gifsmilies/wink.gifsmilies/wink.gifsmilies/wink.gif

Pete,

Please allow me to re-post my comment yesterday around 8 morning (which has good responses), so to bring this message to wider readers. As a person that doesn't want people to regard me a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or whatever, but look at me as a person, or in Malay, seorang insan, I believe this is the attitude everyone should have.

"Jangan jadi bodohlah. Kalau orang nak jadi orang Kristian, jadilah. Sebaliknya, kalau orang Kristian nak jadi orang Islam, jadilah asalkan orang orang ini masih orang yang baik selepas itu. Buat apa bising bising orang lain curi orang kamu. Buat apa bagaikan orang yang tak seugama musuh kamu?

Janganlah jadi bodoh. Masaalah korupsi, curi wang negara bukankah lebih teruk?"

'Himpun, which claims to have the backing of some 2,000 NGOs representing over four million Muslims nationwide, was mooted after the controversial raid on the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) and aims to protest against Christians “challenging the sovereignty” of Islam.'

Dear Pete,
You may think this is off-tangent but pls bear with me. In Malaysia, anyone who tries to convert Muslims to Christianity will get into serious trouble. I dunno if a law is in place to punish those who attempt. But why doesn't the law protect us non-Christians as well from being pursued by extremists trying to convert us at every attempt they can. In the office, if we know a certain staff is a born-again human, we avoid that creature like he/she got AIDs. We make all kinds of excuses to "run away".... that's my personal experience and a few others of my colleagues. Recently a relative of a colleague got involved in a very serious accident and the vic had his skull cut open to release pressure, etc. So the manager who is a serious born-again called my colleague to her room & behind closed doors, suggested that born-again & a few others of the same cloth go to the hospital to pray. Naturally the offer was rejected & instead a Thai old master was called to chant whereupon within one week, the vic awoke from coma. I think there should be a law in place to prevent this kind of incursions - I won't vote for BN cos BN doesn't protect people like me or my friends who are continously accosted by these born-again who try to BRAINWASH us. I appeal to all born-again, please stop doing that; one of these fine days, I will lodge a police report!

written by ReturnThe Caliph ".....Why is it wrong to demonstrate our aspirations to prevent further encroachment into the ummah by teachings of other religions, which Muslims see as false? What is wrong with showing the ummah the right way?

Look! Does this represent the deep rooted self-righteous thinking of Muslim...
They think air, earth etc are all created by their almighty ALLAH ( dear, even one use GOD instead of crowing ALLAH will offend them... like infringement on a patented ALLAH), if you do not wear a Islamic hat and pay homage to ALLAH, you are pagan, and deep in their mind, you are sinful, hopeless, unless you are one day being converted to their one-and-only-one path....Sword or Koran, your choice... They live in their UNTOUCHABLE and UNQUESTIONABLE self-righteous kingdom, sending their warriors to convert pagans to multiply their numbers.

When Muslims flooding the shore of Australia or US as refugee, the first year they get all benefits from tay payers money, learn to speak English, get the training... the second year they are wielding their human rights fists to gain schools, mosques,

The 3rd year they start to query why the whites girls polluted their eyes by not wearing BURKA in swimming pool, mocking women scantily cladded --showing white meat to lure them from concentrating in praying X5,....

They are so offended that everything in earth not wearing an ISLAMIC hat, not breathing ISLAMIC air, bathing ISLAMIC water, intercourse by way of ISLAMIC sex...

The ReturnTheCaliph seed's of " ONLY MUSLIMS ARE RIGHT, YOU ALL WRONG", " ALLAH is only GOD-- others are all false" will eventually sprout and grow wild..., other species are poisonous weeds, their are fragant flower...., their great MISSION is to convert sinful pagans.

The following is the regretful story of HOW THE FEEDING HANDS ARE BITTEN:

The Arabs are not happy!!!

· They are not happy in Gaza.
· They are not happy in the West Bank.
· They are not happy in Jerusalem.
· They are not happy in Israel.
· They are not happy in Egypt.
· They are not happy in Libya.
· They are not happy in Algeria.
· They are not happy in Tunis.
· They are not happy in Morocco.
· They are not happy in Yemen.

· They are not happy in Iraq.
· They are not happy in Afghanistan.
· They are not happy in Syria.
· They are not happy in Lebanon.

· They are not happy in Sudan.
· They are not happy in Jordan.
· They are not happy in Iran.

Where are the Arabs happy?

They are happy in England.
They are happy in France.
They are happy in Italy.
They are happy in Germany.
They are happy in Sweden.

They are happy in Holland.
They are happy in Denmark.
They are happy in Belgium.
They are happy in Norway.
They are happy in the U.S.

They are happy in Canada.

They arehappy in Romania.
They are happy in Hungary,

They are happy in Australia.
They are happy in New Zealand.

They are happy in any other country in the world that is not under a Muslim rule.

And whom do they blame?
Not Islam
Not their leadership
Not themselves
But the same countries in which they are happy to live.

This is so true...
Democracy is really good for them.

In a democracy they can live comfortably,
enjoy the high quality of life which they did not build and work for,

they don’t have to be productive and earn a living,
they can be wild, and break the law, exploit the social services,

wear Burka’s and make a mockery of our Police and Courts
and

generally bite the hand that feeds them.

My question is why do they always try to bring their failed system with them, why do they want to turn Australia into the country they left for a better life?

Australian Muslims make up less than 3%

of our population yet our Government is fixated on pandering to them...

Why??

how can you just generalize like that after all that has been bloody written and posted on this website, wake up la!!!!!!!!!!!! it's people like you who are also part of the bloody problem. I agree with RPK, if you people are just here for insults and teh tarik bullets when you gather up with your cow brained friends.. so just shod off dude..

We are ONE! I am Chinese and I am all for Malay development, because we are of the same. We share one land and one love - Malaysia. I hope you post a public apology for what you've said, and those who added plus signs to this donkey, be ashamed please!

I for one have many Malay friends who would love our country to move forward and really integrate! If we were to be open minded and accept one another for our strengths and not weak links, we would be a great nation. This has been hampered by UMNO and their ball licking dogs for 52 bloody F**king years!!!!

Hidup Malaysia! Hidup all my brothers! Hidup Malaysians! I only hope you realize our true cause and fight. Be one with your fellow country men. Help them, advice them, turn the other cheek when c**kends talk c**k.. Love your country, make us one! Look at the world, look at us from a species point of view. We are all humans!! We belong here, and we love this country. We want progress, peace and stability so our children can love and die for this land one day when it is required. THINK you idiot!!!!!

That the state apparatus were used in their heinous scheme shows the ugly truth that our country is run by a bunch of self serving worms without any dignity for human decency.

Dakwah & religion is personal & every individual is directly charged & answerable to illahi (Tuhan)....
In todays's world it's being promoted & sold very cheap like any other items in the market........More unnessary forced convertion will impact the quality of a faith & this quantity will also lead to the destruction of the faith.
The are many cases in Malaysia whereby people are converting to gain something & they don't practice the new faith hearthfully & living as chameleon.

i'm writing again, here, to stress the importance of substance.

it is my right to express what i feel, but i promise i will be fair.(and tbh i could care less of what the haters/fanboys think of me)

First off, this part right here is aimed at the malays, and i think it is only fair that i humbly request the audience of malays and only them to thumb me up/down. no disrespect to the MT readers/commenters, i just want to know how many malay readers do we actually have here in MT,reading. and from there i shall begin my point--

1) Malays dont read.
hey i am just as anyone else guilty of being slightly lazy, but i pride myself and whoever that is associated with me regardless of race/religion/political affiliation for doing enough homework on a subject before even speaking about it. the question is--

a)what is "enough"--at least to discuss about?
there's no answer to that. hence the existence of discussing ideas/opinions. because without a proper conversation filled with ideas--1)you do not get to understand the difference between opinion and facts,2)you do not elevate your conversational skills to at least a degree of separating emotions from context, 3)you do not move deeper within the subject and HERE lies the problem.

--what can the "scholars" speak about that we arent allowed to?
once upon a time in your so called "golden age of Islam"---Nothing. (i'd be more than happy to be corrected by those that know better).. ..because when homework is done, society becomes educated, the borders of conversation become free, conversational maturity ensues and the scholars might finally understand the woes of the dynamic community.and that is why Islam had a Golden Age--

KNOWLEDGE.

now let's take it back to the archipelago. this is where some things may clash. Islam was much more of a Sultanate trend rather than their subjects'.(be nitpicky all u want, but u know i have a point).not until Munshi Abdullah and his British cheerleaders, did the people start shifting the kerajaan back to the rakyat. Consequently the rulers also lost a lot of their power.

but that being said, were the rakyat Muslim because of a trend, or because of self-discovery? now i am Malay. and i am also a Muslim (because i choose to be). Reading both histories will drive you towards a confusing geographic collision of ethnicity and religion. Because what Islam is is pretty clear. but what Malay is isnt.

but my point here is in relation to what RPK has mentioned above. there are plenty of things to worry about in this world.of course Money being the central idea. but if the people had to worry about internal issues first and argue about the most trivial islamic things, then can we at least get to the factual consensus of these trivial things? can we shift it towards making Malays aware that we are not bred like the Arabs, we can be more like the Turks,or that we are uniquely Malay Muslim???

and can the branding be better than what has been proposed by UMNO?i mean come on, i hate it when the non malays racist-ly classify all malays and muslims into one group that theyve never probably shared a room with in the first place, but the politicians do come on screen quite a bit and embarrass me and my very malay family..there has to be more of a SUBSTANCE group of malays out there, isnt there?!?! or are they all in Singapore?

RPK,i propose we bring in more malay readers to this site and close a chapter every week on all trivial matters from the very basics that may deviate the force away from a unified struggle against any resistance that would rather milk the country dry than see a better Malaysia.

p.s. before we head into a bigger battle like corruption/gov policy/what not, let's remove the stereotype of the market. i lived with christians, chinese, buddhists, indian friends who are very close to me. i even have Jewish friends. they are wonderful people.

and when i pray, they pray as well smilies/smiley.gif

i wish for all my malay brothers to see this--

In this case, a blatant misuse of religon as a tool to incite and create insecurity among the masses: in this instance mostly, poorly educated and uninformed Malays. Thsi is nothing new. UMNO is behind all this, plain and simple. Ezam is doing his utmost to get into UMNO's good books. UMNO has been under constant attack all these past few months, and they are organizing this mammoth event to rally the Malays under UMNO and take the Malay minds off UMNO's evil deeds. Everyone is entitled to his/her rights to express themselves.

The more i read the comments here, the more convinced I am that the non-Malays are hypocrites in their own way. Islam holds a very important place in the lives of Muslims. Religion is important to Muslims. Muslims are more interested in the afterlife and what happens to our souls than the transient world. Muslims are concerned that the ummah are turning away from the truth. Islam teaches us to be social and how to relate to one another.

Why is it wrong to demonstrate our aspirations to prevent further encroachment into the ummah by teachings of other religions, which Muslims see as false? What is wrong with showing the ummah the right way?

Why can't Muslims demonstrate when Bersih can?

Hypocrites!

Why HIMPUN? Presumably, what we feel, as a Muslim, when Buddhist gathered & expressed concern of the converted Buddhist who turn to Islam?

How do you feel, when the Hinduism, voice out together, bashing their ex-Hindu for converting to Islam? The question is, where is our sensitivity to the concept of religious harmony??

I believe HIMPUN's target audience should be those who were not aware of symptoms that spread apostasy in silence, however, will such groups come to this kind of assembly?

Do not point fingers at other religions. See for yourself, what the Muslims done to strengthen the faith of Muslims. In fact, do we really deal with the issue of apostasy?

Is the Islamic da'wah consistently spread to Muslims in Malaysia? How many da'wah movement formed at the government level? Organizing Musabaqah Al-Quran yearly is not enough!!

With HIMPUN, apostasy will be cured? How many non-Muslims would be attracted to Islam? How many Muslims who have fallen will repent??

2)How is UMNO going to use and abuse this bunch of innocent or shallow minded fools to do their dirty bidding?
3)How low and evil will UMNO stoop?

The Muslim in Malaysia especially the fanatics and extremists have created an big issue just to show others than they are the big brothers. But I think they are in probia and paranoid and mentally unstable due to their religion beliefs. There is no wrong about Islam but it is about how the extremist Muslims in Malaysia have practised their faith up to a very dangerous level until they can't differentiate between good and bad and evil. What they think and do are all good but in nature it was bad for everyone. Of course, you have some bastards like Ibrahim Ali, Zul Nordin, Jamil Baharom who play GOD when they are actually the evils for Muslims. HIMPUN big shots should bring tons of rice, sugar, salt and cooking oil for distribution to one vulnerable and unfortunate group, the desparately Muslim poor. They should be the first group to be invited. Some of these people have been receiving food aid, on a monthly basis, from non-Muslim bodies particularly non-denominational Buddhist organisation for a long time, and this includes free medical aid. Has any of these poor left Islam? None! Has any one of them felt abandoned by the very Department formed not voluntarily but by law to help them, i.e. the various State JAI ? Plenty! Are HIMPUN leaders so blind that they don't know charity has always been extended to the poor regardless of race and religion by non-muslim organisations? Has HIMPUN leaders forgotten the crowd of Muslim poor queeing to receive free clothing material from mainly Hindu clothing material merchants just before Ramadhan ends, in the years when ready-made garments were not available or were just too costly? HIMPUN can keep agitating but remember that the only convincing message to the world is that it has not done enough for its own poor and hence now feel the need to enact the greatest denial show on earth.

That there is not one mosque of considerable size in the country built solely financed by public donations from the indigenous population, in the last 50 or so years, is a telling commentary of how firebrand zealots have failed in their duty as pious God-fearing individuals to build the Community or as my Muslim friends say the Ummah. Every Jamek mosque we see in the country comes largely from the initiative and donations of Indian Muslims who toiled at least 16 hours a day. Even this fact is not appreciated as we see how this particular community protested when KL City Hall decided to build the ugly structure to cover up the frontage of Masjid Jamek. Close Indian Muslim friends could only sigh in frustration as they confront Ketuanan Melayu expressed in ways no Muslims could be proud of. When the occasion fits UMNO’s game-plans royal interventions will be quickly summoned but otherwise the spoils will be shared exclusively by UMNO members.

I remember the occasions as a young boy buying roti canai from my favourite mamak coffee shop, dropping a coin once in a while, from my weekly pocket money, into the donation tin found in almost all mamak coffee shops then. As a non-Muslim I felt good to be able to make my small donations. Those were good years unblemished by the politics of failed politicians needing to catch up with the crowd that have already made it big because of the right affiliation. Do I still feel good? I do because I still have lots of Muslim friends including those I met while studying overseas - great human beings like the rest of the people in the host country, the U.K.

Have a great time shouting and showing your neck's varicose veins but remember Heaven is watching.

1. Yes, we know the politics of uniting a race by creating a common enemy. It's an old card which seems to work (as long as people are kept blinded to the fact thay they are pawns in a bigger game) However, it is a bad card as it harms the fabric of racial harmony which SEEMS to exist at some level in Malaysia. I PROPOSE people begin to unite because of LOVE for one another, because of the LOVE for Malaysia and because we need to unite over the economy to have a chance of being one of the few economies in the world which will not be foreclosed by the banks!

2. Why are we not concerned over bigger, pressing, more important issues? It is because we are narrow minded and short sighted. By and large, the global economic woes has yet to cause drastic changes to the lives of the Malaysians so they don't think it's an issue which will affect Malaysia. It won't be long before all these economic issues hit us as Malaysia is also plugged into the global economy. RPK, it's worthwhile doing a piece on Malaysia's actual debt and income figures. The Malaysia budget usually has a higher expenditure as compared to income. How long can that go on for? Which household can continue to spend more than they earn indefinitely?

3. It's reflects inconsistancy to see that "pro-opposition" people who were so angry that Bersih 2.0 was not allowed because it's democratic to be allowed to "berhimpun" are now UPSET that this gathering has been approved. I agree that the issuing of licensing has NOT been consistent and has been politicized. However, if one is impartial, they should be happy the democratic right of being allowed to gather for a common cause is allowed. All those who claim to be pro-democracy should be rejoicing.

For every one million Muslims (yeah, right) who gather in Shah Alam for this Himpun thingy, there is another ten million Muslims who refuse to join it and rather spend good quality time with family and do some shopping (I am one of them).

What is the agenda for the Himpun thing? Attend, get free food & drinks, listen to "Holier Than Thou" messages, scream and shout, carry banner, get some more drinks, pick up rubbish, and then go home watch Manchester "The Red Devils" United slay Manchester City. Outcome of the gathering: Nothing.

Oh Melayuku. Sigh...

For as long as I can remember RELIGION has been a very intimidating issue during my days at the "bangku sekolah " in a primary school in a small village . In those days Christianity was already very actively seaping into the villages , estates , farms and fishing communes . The Muslim missionary movements was way behind the strides taken by the Christian missioners to spread the joy and goodwill of Christianity . The congregations grew and sermons were tailored to be delivered in English, Chungyi, Hockchew , Hokkien and Tamil !

Bugis and Javanese kampongs had their own mosques and suraus while a mosque will find itself erected somewhere in the in the middle of the towns. And "drum beats" from all such mosques will be sounded at the particular time to "believers" to gather themselves for the "Friday" prayers and sermons ,
Those "drum beats" were truly very traditional and unique to my mind as a child "kafir" . Of course more "orang Asli" began to be seen to have embraced the "Islamic faith" then as the two communities began to interact in many ways . There were occasional cases of Chinese and Indians being converted and embraced the I"Islamic faith" whenever they took Muslim women to be their wives . During those days the " body snatching" of Muslim converts had already begun , perhaps much earlier, too , if such a convert had died in his non-Muslim home . And the usual "shock and surprise" will be exhibited by the "traumatized" family of not knowing that the demised person had converted . Male adults in Chinese families would proudly bring home legally married Muslim (Malay) wives bringing extreme shocks to their families because they had to accommodate the new family member with a different culture . And they dared not think further of the consequences of their sons who had taken Muslims as their brides .
Such situations have become more traumatic and aggressively handled in the present day because of faults from different quarters and incompetent methods of gaining more conversions.

As time goes by , Christianity advancements in the nation has been checked and nip in the buds by the ruling power to stifle its expansions . Mission schools in the nation began to see the dwindling numbers of missionary qualified school teachers ( Brothers and Sisters). Mission schools situated at strategically economic zones became the targets of "green-eyed" politicians of the ruling power . The whole structure of Seremban "CONVENT OF THE HOLY INFANT JESUS" , due to one reason or another , has now completely disappeared and the grounds is now a gigantic pond in the middle of Seremban.

Saint Paul's Primary School had years earlier been razed and replaced with a "failed" commercial centre , also in the middle of Seremban . In exchange of its olden colonial buildings that primary school was then replaced with a new- look building in Bukit Kaya somewhere near Lobak . The days of such missionary efforts are truly soon to be over in the nation . Malays who had a stint in such schools have never become apostate and most , if not all , are very upright citizens today !

Like the past , today religious intimidation is still happening in schools from as young as those who are already in Primary Three in all if not most schools . Teachers and the school authorities in such schools must be very receptive of such incidents happening among students in the classrooms .

Teach the students to respect the beliefs and faiths of other students as the other students are also to
do likewise .

Teach the students that religion is between the person and his belief only .

Teach the students that no one religion is superior to another .

Teach the students that all religions whether true of false is always up to the "believer" and has no concern with another person of a different faith or belief .

In short , they must learn to "mind their own business" !

Last but not least , they must be made aware that there are people who have no beliefs and are not attached to any religion and are simply known as "Atheists" !

Hopefully , much aggression and intimidation will be reduced in school years as early as Primary Three ! Teachers whatever their faiths or no faiths may be , must always be neutral when dealing with such issues . School Principals , too, must be the same and should hold sessions with teachers at teachers' meetings to bring up such issues from time to time !

A law should be erected to prevent deliberate proselytizing of any religion at all without exception ! Had we included this in the Constitution much frictions would have been reduced ! And no need to debate so much in the medias !

If this be the case what they want is simply to see wide spread response.,They may find they have no fuel if we are united and completely ignor them and not to respond at all. I think it will die a natural death with no fuel or ammunition to continue. There are times when silence ig golden especially if one is armed so strong in honesty and to let these go as the idle wind which nobody respects.

Chi Hooi is right at certain point. But I must also mentioned that the existence of Chinese, Tamil, religion etc schools have also contributed to the racial division we are seeing today. Why not a single school system where everyone get the fair opportunity to excel and talents are groomed. If the Chinese/Tamil/Punjabi/Kadazan/Iban wants to learn their mother's tongue why not? Provide the subjects as an option in school. I dont see any problem in mastering another language where more knowledge will be gained by so doing.

Today the Australian are very environmental conscious people bcoz their govt taught them so 30 yrs ago thru the edu system. We are the produce of the past 30 yrs edu system (gov propaganda?). Seriously we need a change! First change the gov then change the edu system. This is the hope I hv for Malaysia and our children. Most people are afraid of the unknown. These march show that many people are willing to march without knowing what they are doing it for except to be pulled by the nose like buffaloes by a minority group that wants to exploit it. And as usual this group will be a dumb group that does not think about the outcomes of such a move except to cow the minority group to silence. Isn't this how suicide bombers started. They could not break the majority so one of the ways is to blow up thmeselves up to show that they have a cause to die for. Well I hope no suicide bombers are in this group. There are many minority groups out there that maybe willing to do it...you never know..until you are cornered.

To stop racism, we must start from the root cause of the problem. And in this case, our education system for the past 30 yrs or so is the main culprit that has created the current generation of racists across all races. Why do i say so? I came from the mainstream school system. From primary school to secondary school, I have experienced numerous accounts of racist statements from my classmates. All sorts of name callings. Cina makan babi, itu haram. Melayu otak udang, keling, etc. Ejek-mengejek is the norm. I cherish the times during the primary the most. Why? Because at that time, the racism was not rampant and indeed it is zero. Students, regardless of races, play, study, joke, eat, drink and sleep in the same spirit of muhibbah. I remember very well when our Muslim mates puasa, we non muslim will always turn our face the other way or walk out of the classrom to drink water to show our respect and courtesy. We eat together and sit together during the normal year-end class jamuan. In fact i enjoyed malay foods and we all together eat using our hand without any problem. WE dont call each other NAMES. For me, the primary school experience reflects the true muhibbah spirit of all races. But as i progress to the secondary school, the situation changed drastically. The divide among the races widens and soon it became the source of racism which we see today. Why? Form 1 form 2, the situation is still ok. With many of my Malay friends still intact. When we enter form 3, the situation changed. Some of my Malay friends who have good results are transferred to MRSM. There is quota of course for the non malays in these MRSM but none of us got the offer though we had far better result than the Malays. Yes, the frustration and the feeling of unfairness soon crops into our minds(Non-muslim). After PMR, the real situation totally changed. After the result were released, we saw many of our Malay friends got into MRSM. From 30 plus malay students, it soon came down to about 10 in f4 f5. We began to see students from Yayasan Selangor joining our class in f4 f5. Although i hate to say this, but most of the yayasan students are lazy and always sleep in class. The feeling of unfairness, inequality, frustration and discrimination was very critical at this moment. Bright Chinese and Indian students who scored full As doesnt get anywhere but to stay at the school. The Malays who doesnt get full As got to go to MRSM. This is the time where all the racist comments came about. Name-callings became a norm. Cina Babi. MElayu malas. KEling palia. Apart from that, in school, the discrimination is very obvious favouring the malays. Why? The school hostel is reserved for only Muslims. Non-muslims cannot apply for asrama. The canteen is divided into Chinese, Malay and Indian canteens. MAlay students are prohibited from buying things even drinks from the Chinese stall. The government aids (monthly financial aid) mostly only benefits and reserved for the Malays. The non-muslims, although we are rakyat Malaysia like our Malay counterparts, are always treated like a second class citizen for almost all of the time in school. The discrimination continues right into the tertiary level. MEritocracy was never practiced in the education system. The hatred, inequality, the feeling of unfairness, stereotyping, discriminating and anger which are the sources that contribute to racism are all sowed in the minds of all our young students in our very own biased education system. Thats why, in my opinion, to really create a true 1Malaysia, to stop racism, the very first thing we must do is to overhaul the education system! The education system has been used as a propaganda tool by the ruling government to create the divide among the races for their political reasons(RUral MAlay votes). It is high time to address this issue and practice meritocracy. I must admit i am very disappointed because i dont see any efforts or plan in the Buku Jingga concerning about the education system in our country.

Language, moral values etc came much later as we started appreciating our life on this planet and to further live our life to the fullest. Jews control the media, government and finance as part of a “Jew world new order”. Besides rewrote the Torah & Bible, Jews also kill many prophets and some of them were Yahya (John Baptist), Zachariah (Zakaria), Elijah (Illyas) uncle of Mother Mary and crucification of Jesus Christ (Isa) which Muslims say that he was elevated by God Almighty and not crucified.

They rewrote the Torah to make it permissible for money to be lent on interest to non-Jews while yet maintaining the prohibition against usury (riba) in intra-Jewish ... - Jews were the one who initially introduced paper money in the world.

World’s economy will crumble & chaos in 2012 and this is what was predicted by many scholars.

Malaysian should be united during this uncertain time and not finding fault or to fight one another.

Muslim who love their religion should spread the religion of peace and not blaming the Non Muslim for all the ills facing the community. The "Rise Up and Fight" will only alienating the Non-Muslim who will have less respect for this great religion.

PDRM who approve this gathering should be held responsible if some over enthusiastic Muslim got carried away and kill a Non-believer to show that they are more Muslim.

The Muslim have the rights to have any "himpunan" but should this be one of them??
I do not know of a single Malay christian in Malaysia unless you include the Kadazan and Iban as Malay.

With Minister in PMO advising PAS not to fear the rally- it is quite obvious where the stink comes from ...

It's really sad that UMNO attempts to paint such shameful a stereotypical image of the Malay/Muslim for for the Non-Malay/Muslim to perceive through this "rally"- which is nothing but hate-mongering & incitement, as a continuation of the politics of fear they desire.

I don't know how the good Malay/Muslim brothers & sisters can take such insults & humiliation sitting down ....

like all other spins, alleged Christian proselytizing has been sensationalized by the government via the main stream media.

Under these kind of trivial unfounded issues, the real issues such as increase in food, electricity bills, tolls, stupid projects like 1 Malaysia email goes though and approved.

I am thankful, MT is a place where we are able to voice out these kind of wrong doings of the current government and inform others what is really happening.

I am definitely voting for a change!!!!!

Bro Pete, sorry, what do we expect them in their gathering to shout? We heard them all over and over but nothing solves the problems(you name it we have it thingy) that are plaguing our nation!

The root of the problem of the country remains when not only no cure has been initiated but the pains are multiplied by 'ourselves'.

What can we do as they gather and gather for what? If only they gather for the courage to change for a better government that would be meaningful but alas, we are not seeing these bright things!

That is what Tun Mahathir taught them. Repeat a teaching often enough and it will become truth. Here we replace it with a teaching. Their minds becomes saturated with a strong faith or belief that is hard to reform and this is what you see today. They are taught not to question their ustaz about certain teachings, or read other haram books. Not to question them because it is god's law .

Except a few like RPK, Malays don't read much about others . Made worst by their handicapped in English or other languages. They can't even see that it is not fair that Muslims can proselytise others but not the other way round right in front of them , let alone read what are the real issues facing humanity. If they can't convert ,how else can they show this ? Scream and shout and vent their anger on the streets or maybe release their pent up frustration of bondage by their own laws.

"That is the focus of the Malays, kaypoh into other people’s affairs. Now see what is happening all over the world, which the Malays do not seem to care about. And we want the Malays to progress like this?"

You too RPK, you too.
Please note that not all malays. Only the one's who do attend.
Why are you referring to all the malays. Assuming if 100 malays attend. Do they represent all the malays.
Be fair to all even if they are malays. My malay friends will not attend it. I am sure 3 million or more will not attend it. So note that too.
my 2 cents worth.

So sorry to see mere human beings defend God. If we could use all our wisdom and knowledge to prepare for what is ahead if the recession hits hard and weare definetely going to be affected. GOD DOES NOT NEED DEFENDING FOR AT THE END THE TRUTH WILL ALWAYS WIN. Lets put our efforts together to prepare for the worst if the economic situation gets worst rather than playing politics using religion.

We don't care, Pete-
We're more interested in a pie in the sky,
(or in eating someone else's non-kosher creampie)
instead of learning to make our own big kosher pie to survive.
"It's our birthright", we believe, "and it has to drop from the sky! Or else, we call for blood!"

Who gives a rat's derriere about peace, rule of law, justice, economy or even security ... what matters is that we great to feel like kings- even if we have to live on handouts. As long as the handouts come from the slogging dhimmis while we fart away at the rally- it's cool.

Only the stupid and misled will read religion into everything ... and get it wrong, as well!! UMNO is using this to their advantage by getting the Malays attention on a non-issue, and getting away with murder, pillage, rape of the land, and everything else.

I shall see what the turnout in the stadium is before I make a statement about the stupidity of these moronic Melayu who don't even know what Islamic values actually are!

The rally was just a ruse for UMNO and PAS to shore up support from the Muslim constituency. By not attending the rally now on the pretext that the organisers say it is not 'political' ( yeah right! ), PAS hopes to been seen as 'reasonable' in the eyes of non-Muslims, namely Christians and to be 'one up' on UMNO. The whole episode stinks to high heaven and Islam is bastardised and made to look ridiculous.

Politicians do not seem to realise that Malaysians know what the game is and will not be pawns in their political machinations.

I am willing to predict that less than 10 000 people will turn up and most of them bussed in by UMNO. As a result, it will show that the average Malay has got more things to worry about than UMNO and PAS's silly games.

The Malay world is limited to the "tempurung" under which they live and this is symbolized by the "kopiah" or skull cap which they proudly wear as a symbol of their limited outlook and mentality.
