No report alleging Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sodomising yet another person has been lodged to date, the police said today.

Bukit Aman CID director Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin confirmed that the police have not received any complaint from any undergraduate who was rumoured to have been sodomised by the opposition leader.

"To date, we have not received any report," he told The Malaysian Insider when contacted.

Yesterday, a pro-Umno blogger alleged that a university student had filed a police complaint accusing 64-year-old Anwar of sodomy.

The blogger has previously published various unsubstantiated allegations involving Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders, but no action has been taken to end the claims despite multiple police reports lodged.

Earlier this year, the PKR de facto leader was acquitted by the High Court of sodomising a former male aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, at a swanky condominium in Damansara Heighst here in June 2008.

It was the second time in his career that he was prosecuted for sodomy, an offence in Muslim-majority Malaysia.

The former deputy prime minister was sacked from government on twin charges of sodomy and corruption in 1998.

The prosecution is appealing the verdict. The Attorney-General’s Chambers filed a petition of appeal at the Court of Appeal Registry against Anwar’s acquittal and discharge on July 9 but the Court of Appeal has yet to set a hearing date.

In his written judgment, trial judge, Justice Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah, had ruled that the court could not be 100 per cent certain about the integrity of samples taken for DNA testing from the complainant (Saiful).

He said the samples could have been compromised before they reached the Chemistry Department for analysis.

Therefore, Mohamad Zabidin said it was not prudent for the court to rely on the DNA results obtained by chemist Dr Seah Lee Hong from the analysis conducted on the samples.

Anwar, who is currently in Jakarta, has yet to reply to The Malaysian Insider’s request for a response.
