(The Malaysian Insider) - PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail is mulling running for a state seat in the 13th general election due next April.
The former federal lawmaker said she could still run in any state constituency even though she is barred from contesting at parliamentary level after voluntarily resigning as Permatang Pauh MP in August 2008 to pave the way for her husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s return to active politics.
“Even though I have the choice to choose any constituency I wish to contest in, I still need to get feedback from supporters.
“The party is thinking of suitable places for me,” she was quoted by Sinar Harian as telling reporters in Penang after closing her party’s pre-electoral convention there last night.
