The DAP leader challenges the MCA president, who reminds him of a children's tale, to repeat the scandal allegation during their Sunday debate.

(FMT) - In the latest round of the scandal jousting between MCA and DAP, Lim Guan Eng has thrown a challenge and a children’s tale about tails into the mix.

The DAP secretary-general dared MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek to repeat the allegation that the former shared an intimate relationship with his ex- staff, which prompted his furious wife to assault both the woman and him.

Lim said Chua should reiterate the “MCA lie” when the two politicians take the stage for the second installment of their debate on Sunday afternoon.

But the Penang chief minister’s challenge came with a legal caveat, something which observers noted Lim had grown fond of since becoming the head of state.

“I will not respond but will sue in court for defamation to prove once and for all that Lim Guan Eng is not Chua Soi Lek,” said the DAP leader in referrence to the MCA leader’s sex scandal.

On Monday, MCA’s Duyong state assemblyman Gan Tian Loo had raised the issue in the Malacca state assembly of which Lim’s wife, Betty Chew, was also a member.

In his subsequent denial, Lim lashed out at Gan and Chua, prompting the MCA president to ask if the DAP leader had the gumption to “admit his mistake” like what he did in the past.

The fox without a tail

Commenting on this, Lim said Chua’s “boast of his courage and political morals” reminded him of the children’s tale about a fox which lost its tail and wanted other foxes to cut off their tails as well.

“However, his scheme not to be the only fox without a tail failed when all the other foxes refused to follow his suggestion,” he added.
