In a short email, Rafizi says he quit the job as he found it difficult to cope with his office duties and party commitments.

(FMT) - PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli has quit his post as the chief executive of the Selangor state economic advisory office effective today.

In a one paragraph email response, Rafizi said that he made the decision as he was unable to cope with his office duties and party work.

“I quit my job in Selangor as chief executive of Selangor economic advisory office. Tired of juggling this job and party work,” he said.

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim currently serves as the Selangor state economic advisor.

Rafizi shot to prominence after exposing the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) financial scandal to the media last year, which is run by former Cabinet minister, Shahrizat Abdul Jalil’s family.

The RM250 million scandal eventually saw Shahrizat quitting her ministerial post and her husband Mohamed Hashim charged at the court for criminal breach of trust.

Rafizi is also expected to make his electoral debut in the coming general election and is slated to contest against former MCA president Ong Tee Keat in the Pandan parliamentary constituency.
