Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng wants MCA to clarify its Wanita leader's comment that a "more extreme PM" will replace Najib Tun Razak in the event BN performs badly.

(FMT) - DAP wants to know what MCA’s Senator Heng Seai Kie meant when she said “a more conservative and extreme” Prime Minister will replace Najib Tun Razak should Barisan National perform worse than its 2008 general election outing.

“Who was she referring to? Was she referring to Muhyiddin Yassin?” asked the DAP secretary- general Lim Guan Eng, referring to Heng’s reported comment in a Chinese daily Sin Chew today.

Lim, who is Penang chief minister, told reporters in Parliament that MCA “must clarify” Heng’s statement.

Heng is the MCA Wanita vice-chairman and Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister.

Heng reportedly said that if BN was to perform badly in the upcoming election, Najib will surely face calls to step down.

She said the person to replace him will be “more extreme, conservative and would defend Malay rights” even more.

She added that currently Najib was already risking his political future with this sector by introducing the 1Malaysia concept.

“Some quarters have argued that the concept does not fight for Malay rights,” she said.
