(Daily Express) - Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sabah has appointed Ansari Abdullah as the team leader for a three-man seat negotiation team for the party together with Datuk Kong Hong Ming and Jonathan Yasin.

This appointment is part of PKR Sabah's strategy to continue the process of seat negotiations within Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Sabah coalition parties namely PAS and DAP.

PKR Sabah Secretary Dr. Roland Chia, who disclosed this, said the seat negotiation team will bring in the aspirations and the wishes of PKR Sabah leaders during the seat negotiation meeting with the PR coalition parties.

"They will report back to the PKR State leadership on proposals put forward and will get a mandate from the state leadership team before moving on the next level of negotiations.

"At present, the seat negotiation process is heading towards the final stages and is progressing very well, in order to ensure one-to-one fight against Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming 13th General Election," he adding, that the decision was made during their recent PKR Sabah meeting.

Chia, who is also PKR Supreme Council Member, said the three-man team is a highly calibre team consisting of senior lawyers in their own legal fields and also senior leaders in PKR Sabah.

He said Ansari is currently the Divisional Chief for Tuaran and also PKR Supreme Council member while Kong is the Divisional Chief for Tawau and also the director of elections for PKR Sabah whilst Jonathan is the Divisional Chief for Ranau and PKR Sabah Deputy Chairman.

Meanwhile PKR Sabah Chairman Ahmad Thamrin Jaini, said the party welcomed all political parties in Sabah to join PR as a common platform to fight against Umno/BN and the door is always open for mutual cooperation for the sake of Sabahans.
