(The Malaysian Insider) - A senior ex-cop has accused Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail of burying evidence of corruption by senior government leaders between 1994 and 1996, involving losses of at least RM12 billion in public funds.
Datuk Mat Zain Ibrahim said Abdul Gani, then a senior public prosecutor heading the prosecution division in 1994, was involved in covering up the roles of “ministers and chief ministers” in scandals such as the RM8 billion and RM4 billion losses incurred by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Perwaja Steel respectively.
“Between 1994 and 1996, Gani Patail was busy playing his role in closing cases or burying information that linked ministers or chief ministers who could be proven to have abused power or were corrupt. This includes the Perwaja case and also the one related to Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli,” the former Kuala Lumpur criminal investigation chief said in an open letter to the prime minister today.
Mat Zain was referring to MAS’s claim that Tajuddin was responsible for RM8 billion in losses during his tenure as executive chairman of the national carrier from 1994 to 2001.
In the letter, he added that Tajuddin, who he refers to as TRI, used a similar modus operandi of “signing long-term and lopsided contracts” similarly used by Perwaja Steel as well as Tenaga Nasional Berhad in its power deals with independent power producers (IPP) that is said to cost taxpayers RM20 billion a year.
“There are similarities in the MO used by all three companies. A common factor may be found and we cannot ignore the possibility that the persons involved in all the agreements are the same,” said Mat Zain, who headed the 1998 police probe into former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s black-eye case.

What dayya mean by your lies that my favorite "AG concealed billion-ringgit scandals". As far as I know the AG does not need to conceal, all his scandals and corruption has been courageously open and bravely blatant. He is not known as the "best AG that money can buy" for nothing. So don't lie and confuse the rakyats. Semua-nya OK!

It does not matter if the present gomen ignores or 'buat tak tahu' regards this damaging allegation, it CONFIRMS the perception the average Man-in-the-street already suspects all along.

Then, who were the plunderers, culprits and mastermind? Who were the backers of those lop-sided contracts till the end? Who was the PM who must be held responsible for the financial fiascos? 12 billion losses only? What about accruing losses from Proton and taxes derived from 'protecting' Proton? What about the 'financial pilfering' from Petronas? And at what cost to the public from the lopsided toll contracts? Could it be trillions in all? Are the culprits, persons or person, still one and the same? For the great harm they had done to this nation, these culprits must be promptly brought to book together with their worm and abettor, Guni Pigtail!

Just look at his face …. coagulated by too much fats and cholesterol; the result of consuming too much haram food, bought from ill-gotten wealth.
His predecessor Mokthar , a dugong look-alike (neither a fish nor a mammal), died of brain hemorrhage. After going for brain surgery, where his skull cap was opened up, his doctors found that it was impossible to stitch back the cap because of the enlargement of his brain. They just could not place in the extracted skull cap. Sad to say they just use a plastic diaphragm to cover the exposed brain and he died, discharged unceremoniously by the hospital about a year latter, carrying with him the plastic cover to his grave…. Al-fatihah. May God has mercy on him.
Is this the result of his cruelty towards Anwar and many others. The answer is in God, but what will be in store for Guni Pigtail? Ini orang lagi jahat!!!

Because he is on the TAKE!!! Figure out why Mamak King put him up as an AG!!!

This AG's reputation or whatever little that's left had been constantly dragged through the shit, with serious accusations posted in internet blogs But why is this AG keeping quiet? He could have threatened to sue or to take some sort of action. (I would have done just that) So why? Why? Why?
By being quiet talks volumes especially to a person of his high stature in this country. Wonder when the IPG, Home Minister or the Prime Minister will respond?
