(The Sun) - The open verdict is one that will not be accepted by the family of Teoh Beng Hock, and they demand answers to his death and justice to be done.
Speaking in tears in a press conference after the verdict was delivered by coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas at the magistrate's court here today, Teoh’s younger sister Lee Lan said: "Is this your answer? We cannot accept or respect this verdict. How can we find peace with this verdict? This is a homicide case – everyone can see that."
Teoh's mother Teng Shuw Hor was also seen crying.
Counsel for Teoh’s family Karpal Singh said that the family has been advised to apply for a revision to the verdict to the high court and that the family will push for a finding of homicide.
"The coroner should not have given an open verdict. This is a miscarriage of justice as the evidence shows that this is homicide," said Karpal.
Karpal will also be pushing for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI), to run concurrently with the revision.
"I do not think the public will accept the decision. We will file for both as soon as possible – it will be given top priority."
Lead counsel Gobind Singh Deo questioned the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on the findings by Azmil on pre-fall injuries, and urged the police to relook their reports.
"The standard of investigation was far from satisfactory in many aspects," said Gobind.
DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang paralleled Karpal’s comment, adding that the open verdict has pushed the 18-month long case back to the start.
"Although the coroner has accepted that there were pre-fall injuries, there is still a need for a total, comprehensive investigation to all aspects leading to Teoh’s death," said Lim.
"What happened on July 16, 2009, has shaken public confidence on key institutions to the very root, and that has not been restored or remedied. The PM himself has given assurance to the family that if the family is not satisfied, an RCI will be given. It is time for him to honour his word," he added.
DAP Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah expressed disappointment over the verdict. "I am disappointed with the open verdict and we will use all our means to find the truth."
Ean Yong, for whom Teoh was a political aide, also urged the prime minister to set up the commission.

At this moment they act like “GOD” simply because they are untouchable, they are untouchable simply because the stupid Rakyat allow them to be so.
It’s time for the Rakyat to wake-up and kick some butts.

Now who says the arms of the law is far reaching? I beg to differ now cause in TBH's case neither was there a suicide nor a murder. Who says crime doesnt pay? Didnt the court met our an open verdict?
Justice is dead in Malaysia, so many high profile cases are either non conclusive, broken or biased in its judgement. May Allah/God save this country.

Its not that the judge is not fair or ignorant but sometimes the evidences are just not very outstanding. The responsibility and fault as for now is that MACC called Teoh to their office for such a small sum of money and not ensuring his safety while he is there.
Take heart and have faith for justice always triumph in the end.

Saturday July 31, 2010 - Your 10 questions for Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam - http://biz.thestar.com.my/news...c=business
“…Having been a child of Merdeka and sharing the Merdeka spirit and ethos, I am naturally disappointed that the civil service and the public service have become Malay-dominated. Our political leaders should not have allowed this to happen. This trend is detrimental to national unity and erodes the Government’s ideals of 1Malaysia .
People have been losing confidence in the public service and are inclined to criticise, sometimes even unfairly, because they do not identify with its composition nor its apparent ethnic partisanship
But now the whole system has got so skewed that we have to take bold measures to rectify the situation as soon as possible before it’s too late….” Unquote.
You be the judge.
Cheers.

The collective cover-up by MACC on the brutality inflicted on TBH is obvious and such collective cover-up is possible because the officers involved knew the real political agenda in the investigation and that they will be protected by the power of the day. Therefore the sloppy police investigation and the failed inquest.
The inquest failed because it allowed MACC officers to lied and to deceieved the court. Most telling was the fact that the officers were summoned to Putrajaya for direction upon the "discovery" of TBH's body instead of informing the police immediately and of course the pre-fall injury on TBH's neck, discovered and revealed only upon the second autopsy supervised by Dr. Porntip.
It is noted that an inquest is a court of law but not a court of justice. But justice is trully what the people are all asking for.
Only justice will bring a closure to the suffering of the Teoh's family and also the anxiety of the society at large.
I believe that all those who were involved in directly and indirectly causing the death of TBH will be haunted for the rest of their lives if justice is not served. Only the truth will set them free from within their souls.

Anwar had once said ' if I, as a former deputy Prime Minister can be mistreated as such, just imagine those of you on the street"...
And I also remember many did snub him and said.. "why should he get the best treatment.. just because he is a former Deputy PM?"
So now I hope the masses understood his concern..
I hope Malaysia still have chance for change..
VOTE FOR CHANGE.. VOTE BN OUT!!

It was not suicide means TBH did not end his own life. That we believe.
It was not homicide means TBH was not intentionally killed by anyone. Such a far fetched story.
However he died not of natural causes, so something or someone caused TBH to die.
Next the MACC would lead us to believe that TBH went berserk and tried to attack their officers.
Acting in self defence they unintentionally exerted excessive force to overcome TBH causing his accdental death. Or perhaps in his haste to flee from his imenacing nterrogators he escaped through an open window, lost his balance and fell to his death. So the verdict is not suicide nor homicide but accidental death due to misadventure while visiting the MACC office.
Everything is now explained and the case is now declared solved and closed with no further action.
What a stupid country we live in. Please vote during the next general election to exercise our "stupidity" or we forever rest in peace. TBH would have died in vain if the morons in us continue to vote for BN. For TBH's sake and the sacrifice he made to free us of this evil bondage please vote PR always.
