The heroes always get killed before the people awake. It seems that evil always get their way first before it is overthrown by good. Will this happen to RPK or PI Bala?

By ViewAct

It was fate it seems, that I was sent off to Philippines to work and due to poor arrangements, was left stranded at the airport for a few hours. As I was bored with nothing to do, and I could not access the Internet, I walked around.

It was when I reached the departure hall that I noticed a statue erected at the entrance of Customs. At first sight, I thought it was the founder or some pioneer for the building of the airport but I was wrong. When I slowly approached the statue, I noticed the plaque below it. “Ninoy”, it says.

ninoy

The rest is self explanatory. Just read the plaque and anyone would know what took place in Philippines in 1983.

plaque

When I slowly went through the words, my tears rolled for Ninoy. At the same time, my tears rolled for YM PRK, and all other heroes who dedicated their lives for the betterment of their people. Yet they were neutralized by the people who desired  the opposite – the destruction of the people and social betterment. The people who are greedy for power, cunning and selfish; who with their cronies worked and is working every single day and in every single way, even if those ways are illogical and unreasonable. They will do whatever they can to destroy the good, so that no one will expose their evil.

It happened everywhere, where the heroes always get killed before the people awake. It seems that evil always get their way first before it is overthrown by good.

My question to all Malaysian is – Do we want to see such things happen to our dear Malaysian heroes like YM RPK, like PI Bala, like DSAI? Do we need someone to be killed (either by physical assassination, or political assassination) before we realize it is too late?

The Philippines lost a great leader who might have relieved them of the turmoil of life back in 1983. Now, many of them live in hardship, taking the elevated highway as their roof, and a torn dirty mat as their carpet. Paper boxes as bedrooms, children allowing people to touch and molest them just for a few Pesos, etc. Could they have prevented Ninoy’s assassination, could they have overthrown the corrupted dictator earlier, they may enjoy a far better life now.

Dear Malaysian, do we need to wait till then to see all that is happening now? To realize our mistakes and regret indefinitely? Knowing we should have done something but didn’t?

Dear Malaysian, wake up and vote for change. For freedom, for justice, for a better future.

Why should we cry over our heroes? Why can't we cheer instead? to cry over means we would have to loose them, or sympathize with their ordeal. If we supported them and helped protect them in time, we can cheer over for them when they stand up on the stage, upon successful overthrowing corrupted government, of course with the help of awaken nation.

Why can't we be awakened to do that instead? My 2 cents.

Generally, Malaysians are a very selfish, pathetic & self-centred lot. As long as they can survive, they will close two eyes to corruption. Why else would bn voters keep BN in power for so long? It's a great pity Marcos died in exile, without punishment in this life, while his wife & family to this day, still enjoying their ill-gotten wealth. Ditto for Suharto & his family who are fabulously rich. I was told Suharto had a hard time trying to die - what the chinese say "his breathe of life could not break". He struggled as death stared down at him. You corrupt politicians will have the same fate. May you struggle to breathe your last but death would not come. You want to die, but you are barely alive. You want to live on, but could barely breathe.

ViewAct - great selection of Ninoy statue and real story line to build your article on.

When the day come for a triumphant return of the Malay man, Malaysian Heart, the good rakyat, checked by our own security for weapons, will form the strongest guard of honor and better than American presidential protection, lining his route, 20 person deep from airplane to the vehicle.

Or he comes in, as he went out, incognito and we celebrate the bigest fireworks at Petronas Twin towers the same nite, with The malaysian Heart, perched at the top floor of the twin towers, downing some champayne, and looking satisfied and down to us as we look up to him, as the Queen "We will Rock you" blaring in speaker-bursting decibels in the background. That would make all body hairs stand up, wouldn't it?

Sarawakian, take you dinners/weekend breaks in the native heartlands and engage them
Sabah, convert more migrants with voting rights to the good force. None to be repatriated, assurance under PR.
Winning Sabah/Sarawak does heaps in winning Putrajaya. LKS, what say u? Forget about Sabah PKR.

This is true, people don't think anything that fits. We only care about our own needs and often care less about other people's existence.

I would say that they are afraid of change, and with fear instilled by the government's main stream media, they fear loosing what little left of their "possessions". Some, if not most of them know about the problems, but they fear change. Ask any Filipino and they would agree that something is not right with their government, with their lives, and with their current status. They suffered much and it's hardship in life. But to make changes is what they feared, and eventually resorted to keeping themselves in whatever situation they are in.

When the people is weak, it's the responsibility of the government to build them up. However, these leaders misused the opportunity and enrich themselves instead. When someone opposes, they will terminate the opposing force, put fear in the weak people and threatens them against rising up again.

This way, the evil leader remains on top, to feed on people's money freely and easily, without any hindrance, while the country goes poorer and it's people's life harder. They don't care as long as they themselves are rich and living happily.

With "stupid" rakyat, that's when the corrupted government could do anything they like. And they would surely want to keep it that way.

Some people keep calling YM RPK pondan, no balls, etc. I think it is them who has no balls to rise up; No balls to accept change; No balls to see that justice and freedom restored; no balls to better their own lives; no balls to make the country grow stronger and prosper; and above all, no balls to change themselves!! Ask any UMNO member and you will too hear complaints of problems "boiling hot" among themselves, but what do they do? They continue to sit there like a chicken, appearing so proudly but when asked to change for the better would run with their heads down. Where has the "Melayu pantang dicabar" attitude gone to?

So the government can continue to threaten them, continue to use them. Continue to say that "Malays may loose political powers", that Malays may be sidelined. You will never fail to read such racist and threatening statements every now and then. All because the government is using the fear for change in the Malays community.

When MCA began to challenge that, they will threaten with ISA, police reports etc. Even when the comments may be logical, reasonable. And with the agencies behind their back, they scream, but no one will arrest them. If someone else does, they will spring to action. It's a work of cowards that they will scream before they see terror on the face, and would not allow others to do the same.

If they are really concerned with Malays rights, then P.R also has lots of Malays. Shouldn't their rights be considered too? If UMNO members should enjoy some privileges, Shouldn't P.R's Malay members enjoyed it too? Aren't P.R's Malays Malays too?

So all these are craps made by UMNO to instill fear in people, and try to lure people to support them for special treatment. But they too know well, Malaysian is Malaysian. All of us contributed to the country and they know they need us. It is for power, benefit and out of fear of loosing out that they rather keep themselves under the tempurung, knowing well that if they compete, they don't have enough skills to be in the competition, and lazy to learn up the skills.

In short, the greatest fear they have is to need to change themselves to be competitive.

I'm sorry to all Malays, I mean no insult as not all of them are such, What I meant was the majority of UMNO members, and those who continue to keep themselves deluded from the truth of the need for change.

Those who can afford it can donate to the cause. Buy more of RPK's books or just deposit money in their designated bank account. Let UMNO know that RPK has our support in every way. It is not just the opposition that supports RPK but it is right minded malaysians everywhere that hate injustice and corruption plaguing our society that are supportive of people like RPK who has unselfishly dedicated his life for the cause of a better Malaysia. I don't think RPK is crazy for our donations but the money helps keep him fighting in comfort and more effectively. Those who are regular donors, I salute you as money talk louder than words, and those who would like to do so please do it. Thanks.

I agree with Aria. A vast section of Malaysians are happy with their lot in life. The present conditions please them, they keep a tunnel vision and ignore the hardships faced by the rest of the population. According to their view, if its not broken, why try to repair it? Selfish behaviour!

I would say this......

Hey stupid Malaysians, those who are still voting BN wake up and vote for change. For freedom, for justice, for a better future.

Some Malays are scared to loose their privileges. What Previleges? The government and their cronies are robbing the country blind and giving back peanuts. Wake up! If Malaysia is not being robbed blind there is enough for everyone.
