Since Mac 08, we have always asked PR to work harder, to have more integrity, to show us more proof that they can govern while quietly still hoping for BN to change so that we can have a better Malaysia for our children. We hope for the politicians to change their ways so that real change can happen in Malaysia soon.

Nice thoughts, but sorry folks, change will not happen that way.

By Tohkong Mosjid

There were 2 pieces of paper, a paper named BLACK and a paper named WHITE. BLACK was originally a piece of white paper, but because of its many past sins, hence it had turned black. BLACK had been around for quite sometime - he was actually quite proud of being black paper until the day the WHITE appeared out of nowhere.

WHITE gained a lot of popularity, because people liked its cleanliness and its decent image. The ever-increasing public acceptance of the WHITE made BLACK feel uneasy. BLACK wanted to regain the popularity and support that he lost to WHITE. He thought of changing himself into a white sheet of paper again.

BLACK wasted a lot of money on image makeovers but to no avail. No matter what they did, the dark stains on his body would still overwhelm whatever white spots that his image makeover designers tried to paint on him. His designers told BLACK that he could never be turned back into white paper. At most, he could only be made over into a decent image of a black paper with several white small spots on it -- and because his black colour was too overwhelmingly strong, people would still find it hard to notice those new white designed spots as well.

BLACK got angry with the news, but reluctantly he had to accept the fact that he couldn't be a white piece of paper again. He had to think of another way to rival WHITE's popularity. But how? People liked white nowadays, but how could he possibly turn himself into white again? How could he kill off WHITE's clean image in people's minds?

Soon, he came out with an idea -- to start sabotaging WHITE's army to paint some black dots on WHITE. To BLACK, this idea was easily executed as white was the most vulnerable colour to get contaminated and he knew that the people would be stupid enough to fall for his manipulation.

To sabotage WHITE's army, BLACK started the propaganda of telling people that WHITE was just as dirty as BLACK. He continued to give proof by highlighting each black dot on WHITE that he managed to sabotage. He bribed all the media to focus on WHITE's black spots to further disgust people of WHITE. He continued attacking WHITE by telling the people that WHITE had cheated the people because he was not entirely white -- WHITE had block colours on him just like his. He made sure this news went round the clock until it created a perception on the people that WHITE was actually a liar, and hopefully the people would return their support to BLACK.

In the end, he succeeded as people began to see that WHITE was no longer a white piece of paper, but white paper with a lot of black spots. He managed to bring down WHITE's popularity by manipulating people's thoughts by making them keep focusing on WHITE's black spots instead of the other areas that are full of white. Now, he even managed to equate himself to WHITE in the eyes of the people, although the truth was, he himself was a piece of black paper with some tiny FAKE white spots while WHITE was still significantly a white piece of paper with several sabotaged black spots.

But who contributed most to BLACK's success? No, it was not his advisors, but the stupid people who fell for his evil propaganda and the stupid people who couldn't seem to understand the simple logic about the vulnerability of carrying white colour around!! BLACK knew that he would always remain relevant if he could make sure the majority of people remained stupid for many years to come.

REALITY

Now, let us get back to reality. Some questions for us to ponder:

1. What's your feeling about Nizar (Pakatan's MB in Perak) now? Compare it to the feeling you felt for him when Sultan Azlan Shah declined his request to dissolve the assembly.

2. Then how about your anger towards MACC when Teoh Beng Hock's body was found in Plaza Masalam? Can you compare your feeling between now and then?

3. How about your feeling towards Pakatan Rakyat's open squabbles versus MCA's open media flip-flop? Which news did you find more annoying?

4. What about the horror you felt when you read about the fallen roof of Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and the massive debt amassed by the Pahang state government? Or have you already forgotten about the news?

5. Why do you feel more distrustful of PAS over the unity-government fiasco rather than Muhyiddin and Utusan's numerous racist remarks? Or are you being manipulated not to think rationally?

6. How about the news about RM42,000 to buy 2 laptops versus someone trying to bring Tok Guru Nik Aziz to Mekah for RM65,000? Which one sticks in your mind more, the event that had happened without punishment, or the event that did not happen but is being punished heavily in the media?

7. Why do we know so much about Kelantan's politics but not Terengganu's politics where its MB is still under heavy siege from his own colleagues? Are we too blind to see someone trying to paint a black spot on TGNA because he has become an icon for Pakatan?

Since Mac 08, we have always asked PR to work harder, to have more integrity, to show us more proof that they can govern while quietly hoping for BN to change so that we can have a better Malaysia for our children. We hope for the politicians to change their ways so that real change can happen in Malaysia soon.

Nice thoughts, but sorry folks, change will not happen that way. We can't stay idle while hoping others will change things for us. The rule in our universe doesn't work that way. To achieve change, FIRST we need to change our mentality before real change has a chance to kick in. There isn't going to be any change if the rakyat's mentality stays the same.

Some said BN's survivs politically by controlling the judiciary, AG's chamber, police, MACC, media, Election Commission and lately the ROS. All independent agencies in our country have been turned into a tool for BN to stay in power. Yes, I have to agree with this statement, but to me this is not the major contributing factor to why BN is still in power.

BN is still in power because of us. Yes, we are the ones being manipulated to ensure BN survives. But is that our real choice? Do we realise that we been manipulated to "always choose BN" all these while?

Why does the majority of us still think that Malaysia is better off with BN? Who instills the fear in us to resist change? Who paints the picture of a dark Malaysia in our minds if PR takes over the federal government? Is PR's performance really that "bad" compared to BN after 20 months? If not, who makes us think that PR's states are not performing well?

BN will forever survive politically if we fail to realise our weaknesses all these years and figure out a way to overcome it. BN is the master of manipulating our weaknesses. Because of having these weaknesses, we are very vulnerable to be manipulated by politicians, especially politicians from the ruling coalition who control the MSM. Until we realise and acknowledge our weaknesses -- no matter how good the opposition is, the current government will remain in power for many years to come.

If we can't change 1. Our forgetfulness and 2. Our subconscious "to follow the herd" mentality -- rest assured no matter how much we shout about bringing change to our country, Malaysia will remain just the same with BN in charge. Pakatan can only do so much for Malaysia -- if we don't grow any smarter, they are not going to succeed. For a better Malaysia, we, the rakyat, (yes, not PR or BN) need to take the first step to change the way we think and stop ourselves from being manipulated again and again! Can we?

Vulnerability of white:
Imagine putting a white crayon next to a black crayon. Can the black crayon be dirtied by the white crayon? Hardly, because black can easily overwhelm the white colour. But vice-versa, can the white crayon be still as white as it used to be if it has been dirtied by the black crayon? No, the whitest white can be after being contaminated by black crayon is grey because white is the most vulnerable colour of all colours.

imanj,

A child's mind is pure, and their thoughts are innocent. It doesn't feel right to stain them with such hatred and discrimination.

Replying Jaz...

Dear Jaz,

Thank you for reading my comment.I just want to say,if I had all the money in the world I would feed every child no matter what the race or religion and make everyday of their lifes like the picturesque essence of Christmas...

But it surely is hypocritical and sheer unkindness how the grown-ups conduct themselves and how they fail to bring up children through the right teachings and values of morality and religion.

You could never stop someone from indulging in a thing of beauty or a concept that brings about just fun, love and most of all joy.So if Christmas is the most wonderful season in the year with all it's glitter and if people around the world still celebrate it without the Catholic/Christian religious aspect, then it should be understood and if anyone feels to extend the joy to children, then not one child of any race especially a christian where it all begins, should not be forgotten..

As a muslim convert I still remain muslim and I know GOD will never turn me away for keeping the culture I grew up with and so I will continue to celebrate the essence of Christmas and hope my little girl will never be deprive of the good things where this world should be made off.

Glad tidings and peace to all good man.....

imanj,

How very sad. It breaks my heart whenever I read about children who are sucked into the racism and discrimination cesspool. I wonder if those adults have any form of compassion at all for dragging the children along into the racist games.

Blame no one else.

The people deserve the government they choose. The fools deserve what they got. The people are the fools here, continues getting screw until one day they wise up, hopefully.

Sometimes I just can’t help thinking, maybe after all this while, the people got used to the abuses and screwing and are enjoying it, keep going back for more. Otherwise, the only logical explanation left is the people are just plain stupid, like a stupid deer looking into a sport light (of blatant injustice) waiting to be shot without even realising what is happening. Sigh! sad and stupid Malaysian.

Just to share something I came across and really something to think about..

It's the holiday season and soon to be Thanksgiving,Christmas and the New Year..Many departmental stores decorate, filling the air with the Christmas spirit,a time for giving..
It's traditionally known that the Roman Chatolics and Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus and the time of giving where it's the thought that counts has been in apart of the Christmas tradition.

A department store had decided to include the essence of giving this Christmas,by putting up a Christmas tree decorated with Christmas cards bearing the names of orphan children.Right next to the tree,is a board with the chidren's names and their Christmas wish/dream gift.It would be a kind hearted shopper that would make that wish come true...

It surely is a beautiful thought isn't it? My first impression would be the big megastores should themselve be Santa to orphans and under privileged children during the Christmas season..And since it is the tradition of the Christians,it would also include Christian children celebrating Christmas. But in the case of this department store I came across, the tree was filled with names of muslim orphan children and not one non-muslim or christian name.

Is the Christmas concept now meant isn't for the Christians? Or would it be now how the Christmas seaon that influences the non-christians and hence blamed for little muslim children wishing upon a Christmas star for a dream gift this Christmas, and would it be Santa that sends these gifts on Christmas day to these children at the orphanage? Would it there, then be many groups and bodies that will oppose such a deed and insult the non-malay in this case the Chatolics/Christians of their traditons? Would we see the whole idea of Christmas coming to a halt as is would seem enticing in it's beautiful nature each Christmas time??

Do Malaysians have any idea that they live their lifes, indulging in concepts, creations, ideas.inventions, traditions, they progress ahead with the ability to speak someone else's language and yet still think to surpress the race/religion other then theirs?? I do think that a Christian that knows the meaning of Christmas, attends Mass on the eve or day of Jesus's birth would be the only givers and recievers this Christmas, cause it surely doesn't make sense when in Malaysia a muslim child recieves a Christmas gift and his/her Christmas wish is fulfilled, while the non-malays are often ridiculed and insulted with the on-going unsettling race/religion issues and especially where this department store's management has completely ignored the need to include a christian orphan on their list...!!!

Change starts with - The MAN IN THE MIRROR ! Michael Jackson got that right long ago !

Here is another analogy to keep in mind when evaluating all that Pakatan Rakyat has done so far against what the Utterly Moronic Nazi Organization and Barisan Najis have done so far:- It is human nature when asked to look at a white card (size of a name card) with a small dot (1 mm diameter) in the centre, and when asked what they see, almost all of them will reply that they see the dot.

Never mind that the surface area of the card is still without blemish, these people will see the blemish and not the rest of the card !! We must learn to look at things more wisely, with our minds & our hearts instead of just with our eyes.

Yes, Pakatan Rakyat's score card does have a dot or 2 on it, with defections and a mistake or 2 made, but most of their scorecard is still clean, with much done for the Rakyat (despite the Federal Barisan Najis Govt. openly thwarting their efforts and persecuting them).

On the contrary, when we look at the UMNO/ Barisan Najis scorecard, it is littered all over with dots (Corruption, failed Govt. projects, outright plundering of Malaysia, racism, treason etc. etc.) that there is not a single area left that is clean !

The Choice is clear - VOTE IN the Rakyat's Choice, VOTE IN Pakatan Rakyat !!

Speaking of Obama. I don't think there would be a Chinese leader in Malaysia in a thousand years. No matter which party won. If we want more changes. Why not let other races have a go? I don't mean those in MCA, however.

CHANGE : Don't leave to the politicians, only a handful of seasoned(ripen ones) can be dipped for their consistency and maturity and of course there are some young, professional and capable leaders in the PR pact BUT the PEOPLE must HELP THE PEOPLE to change.

BN, there is nothing to mention about them except they are filthy rich themselves. Leadership, perhaps one or two could be singled out other than that, it is seriously past its self line of 50 years(how the heck it could have such unexpired shelf life) and what gross contamination.

THE PEOPLE : The misinformed, the unregistered and eligible voters, the ignorant ones who do not border to give themselves the opportunity to exercise responsibility and the blurred sotongs that fear and know not what election is all about but think it is another off day to argue at the circus who is going to perform better. These are OUR PEOPLE and they are all around us that we have to 'infect' them with the sense of responsibility and understanding of their(people's) right to change for a better future for their children.

The PEOPLE must help the PEOPLE.

This is a million dollar question – How do we change the mind set of the rakyat to vote for Pakatan? One great example is Obama. The odds were stacked against him. The media were all out to get Obama and all the racist people could not accept an African man, but still he won. Obama is a smart man with very smart advisors. Can Pakatan emulate what Obama did? Yes.

•Just like is the US there are still a large percentage of Malaysians who do not bother to vote.
•There are still a lot of gullible people who believe everything they hear in the media. If they hear both sides of the media i.e New Straits Times and Malaysia Today they get very disorientated and confused.
•There are people still in the dark, because they don’t have or know how to use the internet.
•There are a lot of people that have very low IQs. That is just the normal distribution of intelligence in a population.
•There are a lot of government employees who think that BN is their Boss and they must listen to them.
•There are also the blind government supporters and cronies.
•There are the racist who are scared that the Chinese will take over Malaysia. All races will find their position in society and Chinese will be in business. If the Malays and Indians want to do business they have to win it fair and square.
•There are the Malays who are scared that their privileges will be taken away if they vote Pakatan.
•There are the Chinese who are scared that change in the government might destroy the economy.
•There are the Indians who follow their leaders (MIC, Makal Sakti) even though they are useless crooks.
•There are people who say don’t worry about politics just work hard everything will be alright.

If all those people above read Malaysia Today and Malaysia Kini they will most likely change. The only problem is that the Internet is only used by probably 40% of the voting population. Other forms of media must be brought in ( Radio, newspaper, TV, telephoning, door knocking, flyers, etc.) and coordinated well. The rakyat must be educated, no point blaming them for being silly when they don’t have access to the internet.

All Malaysia Today readers know that BN are a bunch of racist, corrupt, self enriching gangsters with little brains. A bunch of school children can run Malaysia better than BN. All a Malaysian government has to do is take out racism and corruption and the market forces will take care of the rest. The government really does not have to do must in a free market environment. Malaysia is rich enough to give all its rakyat a good life, there is no need to suppress the non-Muslims, just get rid of BN and corruption.

But I was thinking that the UMNO-BN regime is like a paper that is so darn dirty and filthy that you can’t even use to wipe your butt. . .!
