"They put the fear in Malays that the Chinese wanted to take over the country. I thought that (notion) was mad, because this is the most mismanaged country, with corruption in the police and the judiciary.
"Because the country is so mismanaged, do you really think the Chinese want to take over the country?" he quipped.Renegade artist Hishamuddin Rais declared that the Malay mind has been "bonsified" (shrunk and distorted, like a bonsai plant) by Umno's political agenda in order to perpetuate the culture of fear against non-Malays.
"This process that 'bonsifies', nullifies and stupefies (Malays) goes back to the British time. (Malays) are led by lazy leaders and lazy thinkers," Hishamuddin (middle in photo) said at the 'Malays are muted too!' forum at the KL and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall last night.
The controversial activist noted that Malays have been indoctrinated to fear new ideas and 'ghosts' of Chinese supremacy, to the point that the Malay public believe that the 'ghosts' are real threats to their existence.
Taking the example of bomoh or witchdoctors, Hishamuddin claimed that Umno employs the same tactics to convince the Malays that they are constantly battling against hantu (ghosts).
"In Malaysia it is very simple. The hantu for the Malays are the Chinese. The Malays are made to believe that there are all sorts of hantu, to encourage the public to be thankful for Umno (to save them).
"It's just like (the tactics of) the bomoh in the kampung, where kampung folk will be told that there are all sorts of hantu to deal with... Umno uses the same modus operandi," he said.
Playing up fears
Hishamuddin claimed that just like the colonial British in Malaya, Umno realises that a liberated Malay mind is a threat to their existence, hence the ruling party's efforts to stop the liberalisation of the Malay mindset.
He alleged that Umno would never agree to free the Malay mind as it is all about maintaining the ruling party's power and control over Malaysia's wealth.
Hishamuddin noted that such fear of losing power has only taken hold fairly recently, evident especially in the ruling government's efforts to perpetuate the fear of a recurrence of the May 13, 1969 racial riots.

Instead of robbing the national coffer dry like what is prevalent today under BN, their industrious nature will in fact replenishes it. How bad can that be?
It is really up to the sons of the soil here to realize this fact and wake up before the oil wells runs dry. We are already too far behind others. To constantly disunite the citizens using race and religion so that those corrupt leaders can continue their plundering can only result in a grotesque nightmare so far reaching it will displace the future generation of Malays from the land they tried so hard to protect. In the end they too will be branded 'pendatang' by the invaders.
So, what will happen if a powerful nation does invade us one day because we're segregated and weak? Within a week we'll again be colonized and the Tuans of the day will certainly not be the offspring of Ibrahim Ali.

Why is Perkasa - the defenders of the Malays - not saying anything against the cheats. Is it alright for UMNO to cheat the Malays - the poor Malays at that!

It will not be a bad thing if the Chinese take over Malaysia ..... then the country will go on an annual 8-10% growth like China.
I think the Malays should be more worried about mamaks (Kimma) and Indons (Toyol) that masquerade as bumiputras in UMNO and loot the country dry!

A mismanaged country is the easiest to rip off ... so yes ... The Chinese will take over!!!!
Do not equate a mismanaged system to a poor system. Malaysia is a very rich country that is mismanaged ..... so yes .... The Chinese will take over !!!!!!!!!!!

'Malays are muted too
Malays have been indoctrinated to fear new ideas and 'ghosts' of Chinese supremacy,
a liberated Malay mind is a threat to their existence
The Malays must freeeeeeee their minds so as to free Malaysia from gross mismanagement in every level

Yes, you are right spot on. The really good intelligent Malays are by passed in high ranking positions by thier "useless, brainless, good for nothing except ball polishing" UMNO Malays who are connected and willing to do the dirty work or as frontman or proxy . I hv seen the frustration. The injustice and disease is indeed widespread.
It may by now be defined as part of the "Malay CULTURE" ??!!
