During a month where lies and deceit should be subservient to fear of Allah, I find that Muslims have no such fear ESPECIALLY when serving and selling food to customers in these Ramadhan bazaars.

It is a norm for petty food traders and hawkers in this predominantly Muslim nation of mine to regard Ramadhan as a month to scour for extra revenue by opening stalls and selling a variety of foodstuff for Muslims to feast upon during breaking of fast.

It would seem illogical as Ramadhan is a month where our food intake is lessened, however what 'should be' is always different that what 'it actually is'.

The quality of food is depressing, what nick-nacks that should taste sweet tastes bland; what should be round is instead oblong, and what should taste like rice instead tastes like paddy.

Then we should cook for ourselves... hehhee
When we cook for ourselves, we can choose what goes in our food and have the ultimate control over the quality of the ingredients.

That is very true because office-stalf would have "their buka puasa" meals at high class restaurants or at posh hotels. But of course most of these buffet meals are being but paid for or sponsored by contractors, suppliers and some business people. So since these delicious and rich food is FOC, it's only natural that the waist lines will expand and the body weight increase.

It's a month long eatfest, where they stack up on the cholesterol. The whole day they work up their appetite, with full concentration, then splurge all nite till dawn in an orgy of eating. I have hosted such break-fasts from Nikko, Dynasty, Al' Diafah in Seri Petaling, and a dozen other places, so I should know.

But I like water-logged booty assed camel-toed* Malays girls, so I'm not going to complain. Mo' power to ramadhan and such!

* I am not going to explain camel-toe.

Lessened? This month is a month of putting on weight! I am not joking, I worked in MNCs before and during Ramadhan, almost every other day, the Muslim staff are being treated to break their fast by the contractors, service providers, suppliers etc. in Posh establishment, where roast lamb is the norm.
Over indulgence is real! By the time Hary Raya came, these people have already put on some weight 'DUE TO MONTH LONG FASTING'

For umpteen years I have already boycotted Ramadan Bazaar or stall food. The food does not taste like the normal food you get from the regular shops. They either have no taste or just terrible. Money is wasted when you bring home to open fast but have to throw away. My wife just cook simple 2 dishes is suffice to open fast with a bottled drink or packet or just tea or coffee.. The business people are all out for a killing to be cepat kaya.. So if you want to poison yourself just go ahead and shop.
