Read Hannah Yeoh's statement in Harakah today and then read what I wrote on 4 November 2009. As I said in an earlier article, the State Secretary brought down the Perak State Government. Now it seems the new Selangor State Secretary has been confirmed by the Sultan without caring a damn for the wishes of the Selangor State Government. Mampuslah Pakatan Rakyat Selangor!

Hannah says 'sabotage' sums up PR woes in Selangor

(Harakah Daily) - Inspired by the tweeting rampage of PKR member of parliament N Gobalakrishnan and the appointment of pro-UMNO official Mohd Khusrin Munawi as the new Selangor state secretary, Subang Jaya state representative Hannah Yeoh has concluded that the word 'sabotage' summed up the challenges faced by Pakatan Rakyat.

"If I have to choose one word to sum up the challenges faced by PR it will be SABOTAGE," she posted on Twitter in response to internal and external attacks against Pakatan Rakyat.

Since last week, Gobalakrishnan, once a staunch supporter of Anwar Ibrahim, has been attacking his party comrades over the microblogging site, accusing them of ignoring Indians and the poor in the state.

Yesterday, the Chief Secretary to the government Mohd Sidek Hassan announced controversial director of the Selangor Islamic Department Mohd Khusrin Munawi as the new state secretary from January 1.

The state administration however said the decision was not final as menteri besar Khalid Ibrahim had not been informed about the appointment, but had instead sent three names as candidates to choose from.

*******************************************

Will Selangor fall in January?

Two weeks before the Pakatan Rakyat Perak state government fell I suggested they seek an audience with the Sultan of Perak and request that the Perak State Assembly be dissolved to make way for fresh state elections.

I spoke to Anwar Ibrahim about it and he told me that my anxiety is unfounded because he had already spoken to Lim Kit Siang and Kit Siang had assured him that the problem with Hee had already been resolved and that everything is under control.

I was, however, still adamant that they should request permission for the dissolution of the Perak State Assembly while they still controlled the majority in the Assembly. Once they lose this majority the Sultan need not consider Pakatan Rakyat’s request because Pakatan Rakyat will no longer be the Perak state government.

As long as Pakatan Rakyat is still the government the Sultan will have no excuse to turn down Pakatan Rakyat’s request. Even if he did turn down the Pakatan Rakyat request to dissolve the Perak State Assembly he will have no legitimate reason for doing so and it would be very obvious that the Sultan is a tool of Umno and he would appear like a slime-ball.

Anyway, that is now all water under the bridge and we now all know that the Sultan was bribed to bring down Pakatan Rakyat plus he was blackmailed with the Nazrin succession issue. In short, they gave the Sultan both the carrot and the stick and like any donkey subjected to the carrot-and-stick treatment Tuanku was meekly led by the nose.

But there are other things I wrote about and which I cautioned Pakatan Rakyat to be alert about. Pakatan Rakyat may control the majority in the Selangor State Assembly. But this does not mean it is in control of the state government.

Many within the Selangor state agencies and government departments are Umno loyalists. They were in fact placed there and promoted because of their links with Umno. So, while Pakatan Rakyat may control the top, it will never be able to control the bottom. In short, the head will move in one direction and the body in the opposite direction.

And the first thing that Khir Toyo did when Selangor fell to the opposition (other than to shred all the evidence of wrongdoing) was to instruct the Selangor state agencies and government departments to sabotage the Pakatan Rakyat government. And this is what they are doing, every day of the week. Thus the ‘funny things’ that are happening in Selangor including the beer issue and the arrest of the ex-Perlis Mufti and the temple demolitions and whatnot.

You could say that not only is the head moving in opposite directions from the body but the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing as well.

And this is how they will eventually bring down the Pakatan Rakyat government in Selangor -- by creating discontentment by doing a lot of ‘unpopular’ things to make life difficult for the people -- which will result in the voters becoming disgusted with the opposition and eventually kicking them out like what happened in Terengganu in 2004 after only five years of an opposition government.

I warned Ronnie Liu about this. And Ronnie Liu’s EXCO portfolio is the most controversial and difficult portfolio of all as it deals with local councils and whatnot, where most of the problems lie. (Malaysia Today, 4 November 2009)

Dear Wisdom, I assume you are serious with your proposal.

But let me assure you that in every good act there is a prayer written into it.

PR is short of good acts. PR has shown hypocrisy with BN like policies, and in PKR and DAP there is autocracy. This is a sure sign of failure. No prayer can reverse this.

The problem in PKR and PR will continues and may be PR will lose Selangor if the Malays continues to trust Anwar as their hero blindly but did not heed signs of weakness and poor leadership. Why Anwar is the defacto leader PR? Its all because he is a Malay Muslim and many Malays respect him as a former minister. But does he had the quality and character and integrity?
Its time to select the best leader to lead the people regardless of race and religion. Malaysia need to move away from communal politics and bravely enter a new era as a truly democratic and secular nation with the best leading and working for the nation. This is God's will . That we are all created equal as humans and Malaysia is the land that God put us all in to live together as God's children.

It is true that there are many officials in the state agencies carrying out all sorts of sabotage to instill bad impression or even disgust from the public towards the Pakatan state government.Pakatan government in Selangor must urgently set up effective feed back and complain procedure. Better still, proactively seeking feed back from the public regarding the performance of all government agencies. When officials who did not conform to Pakatan policies were identified, immediately remove them with valid reasons provided by the public.

Is it not time for Pakatan to have a team of 'sleuth', spies...who will gather information on ameno people and even on the 'palace' in order to throw these info's to the public? Am sure these goons has many dirty linens hiding in their closets...it would be really entertaining to get these thrown in public and it could halt their 'nominations' and 'approvals' by the 'palace'....

RPK, I think you would agree with me that Pakatan reps in Selangor are a bunch of political morons and idiots. It took them more than one year to realize that they were being sabotaged. For losing Selangor, the crown jewel in Malaysia, I don't have any sympathy for them. UMNO may fail to take back Selangor in Jan 2010, but this certainly does not stop them from taking over come Jan 2011. 1 year is a short time if they can get back the mandate to rule Selangor for another 5 years and beyond. Tapi Pakatan memang dungu, apa nak buat...

Today's young Malaysians will have to pay for the complacency of yesterdays Malaysians who had not experienced the economic turmoil and thought there was no end to prosperity . Engaging in politics was least of their problems ,some even talked loudly but never voted. Many simply voted BN repeatedly out of fear disrupting the economic tranquility.UMNO had over half a century to fortify its fortress with its hard cores (ketuanans) at all levels of Government ,State and Federal . To dismantle this human saboteurs a divisive battle at the polls is the only solution. And the revision of all toll contracts /agreements making them more citizens favored should be one of the election campaign manifestos . UMNO is behaving like an Arab camel: it first sneaked its head into the Bedouin tent with a smile and gradually threw out its owners the public

Pakatan must act decisively to protect the will of the people even it means dismissing many of the senior civil servants who continue to be loyal to umno rather than the government of the day. The will of the people must take precedence and others who have their respective roles must abide by the will of the people or go.

The Sultans, the judiciary, the police, the election commission, MACC, all government departments, even NGO's like Perkasa are all obedient dogs of UMNO.

Pakatan is in a situation where it is like swimming in a tank of sharks. In order to defeat the king (UMNO) of the sharks, Pakatan has to be smart, stay united and get as many allies as it can.

The Royalties under Pakatan states are like fishes out of the bowl. They suffocate as no fat contracts fall on their laps any longer. They needed UMNO to be back in power in order to continue plundering the peoples' wealth just like the farktup Selangor Hospital project.

The integrity of the Perak Royalty was cast in doubts when the the former Perak State Government fell. Now the ball keeps rolling with the Selangor Royalty. UMNO sure play their trump cards with apparent disrespect for the majority wishes of the electorate. And we better start asking ourselves seriously the true roles played out by the Royalty Institutions. Or their true intentions. In criminal laws, acting in concert may tantamount to a conspiracy. In the eyes of the rakyat, the Royalties may be acting in collaboration with Putrajaya. Is this the Malaysian type of Monarchy we like to have?
