(The Straits Times) - MALAY nationalist movement Perkasa, founded as a one-man show after the 2008 general election, is fast gaining approval among Malays who feel Umno is no longer fighting for their rights.

It has won approval from former premier Mahathir Mohamad, who launched its Selangor chapter this year, and the Sultan of Selangor, who will officiate at its first national assembly next month.

Independent lawmaker Ibrahim Ali, who set up Perkasa, which means 'to strengthen' in Malay, is known for his controversial views and is often described as a Malay chauvinist.

A deputy minister in the Cabinet of Tun Dr Mahathir, Datuk Ibrahim has jumped from one political allegiance to another, earning him the title katak or 'frog' from his enemies.

Now, the man called Tok Him by his supporters is making headlines for urging non-Malays to stop demanding more, as this would erode Malay rights.

Last Friday, Mr Ibrahim was among those who led a protest by 300 Malays against the Pakatan Rakyat state government in Penang. They accused the government of being racist when it demolished illegal hawker stalls. Protesters burned an effigy of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

today I set up a one man show for Chinese rights. Anyone setting up for Indian rights, then Kadazan rights. I will call my organisation China Kui. Kui as in devil. And it will just remain a one man show.
I am the only one that is feeling small in the chinese community right now.

Because I am penniless, jobless, etc , etc. In another society I could have been the prime minister, or the president. Here I can only be a beggar.

Only I am pessimistic and feeling small. The rest of the Chinese seems to be doing rather well, especially with the Lunar new year coming. That is why I am confident that China Kui will remain a one man show, forever. No ex MCA leader to endorse it, no ex pm to support it or can I ever hope to expand the membership.

No, you can't refer this moron as Him in a capital letter. Sometimes we refer to God as Him also. We should refer this moron as Tok Katak that suit him better. From what I observe, most of it's members are jobless. So all these moron must be paid for their survival. Definately this Katak is not rich enough to pay them. So who are funding them ? Sorry MT readers, no prize for guessing. Later on they will start to perkosa.

I suspect, PERKASA is UMNO’s proxy.

Extreme racist’s agendas in the making, a job too dirty even for racist UMNO to handles directly without dragging its component parties through unbearable shame.

UMNO needs to conduct its filth through a proxy “PERKASA” and forget not, with approval and endorsement from the racist King Mahathir. Would it be a surprised if Mahathir were to play an important role in PERKASA? It’s a job he does best and would loves to have it.

Kami amat meluat.

Our 1PM's grip on things seems to be slipping. This Ibrahim Ali could throw a spanner in the works of his 1Malaysia plan if he is not reined in early.

Because of your evil, ruthlessnessl & wickedness as well as your unclean rabid racism you will be burned soon by the fire of judgment as foretold by the Al Mighty.
You already received the first judgment fire when you started burning the effigy of YAB Lim GE.
You mark our words. You can't escape because this is all pre-ordained due of your evil deeds, action & intentions, You reap what you sew.

Hmm.. when all the non-Malays leave.

I guess Tok Him can PERKASA all he wants, but where will the money come from? Champion in a jungle devoid of any food nor riches. The PERKASA clan will start to look at each other and wonder, what the yelling was all about , while their stomach starts to grumble ..... Hmm.... the Tom Yam Next Door starts to look good, maybe it's not too late to learn Thai, maybe they will share the food with them?

Food for thought .....
