Unless Anwar corrects the biggest mistake of all, handing Selangor to someone not capable of doing the job, there is no way we are going to forgive him and the voters will demonstrate their displeasure come the next election when they give Selangor back to Barisan Nasional.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Former colleague makes police report on Azmin Ali
A former secretary to Anwar Ibrahim today lodged a police report on the purchase of shares amounting to RM2 million by PKR vice-president Azmin Ali and his wife.Anuar Shaari, 40, made the report at the Commercial Crime Investigation Department at Bukit Aman.
Anuar, who served Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for two years from 1996, was accompanied by several members of the Permuafakatan Ummah (Pewaris) and Badan Amal Tarbiah Sejagat (Batas).
“I handed a copy of the original document on the ownership of the shares … to find out the truth because based on the document that I have, it looks like the original, but I’m not an expert to prove it,” he told reporters.
“I’m linking Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim because the document was dated 1992-1994 when Anwar was the Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, and Azmin Ali was also Anwar’s secretary then,” he said. — Bernama
*************************************************
The talk in town is no longer, if Barisan Nasional dissolves the Perak State Assembly, whether Pakatan Rakyat can win enough seats to form the state government. It is, if Pakatan Rakyat dissolves the Selangor State Assembly, whether it can win enough seats to, again, form the state government.
Perak is not really that big an issue because, in the first place, Pakatan Rakyat won a marginal number of seats there. That was why it was easy to topple the state government with a mere three state assemblypersons crossing over. So, if Pakatan Rakyat can’t win Perak that would come as no shock to most people. In Selangor, however, Pakatan Rakyat won a sizeable number of seats. That means if fresh state elections are held in Selangor there is no reason why Pakatan Rakyat can’t come back into power.
Or can’t Pakatan Rakyat retain Selangor? That is what many are now asking. And this is because they are not so sure any longer. They feel that Selangor is not as sure-win as Pakatan Rakyat may think it is. The natives are restless and they are of the opinion that Selangor is not doing as great as they would like it to be.
Basically, Selangor is not running as well as they had hoped. Corruption is still rampant. There is no change in the state administration compared to the days that Umno or Barisan Nasional ran the state. It is still the same shit, just different days.
Businessmen, in particular the Chinese, still need to seek out the Umno warlords to get things done. Pakatan Rakyat may be officially running Selangor. But Umno decides what happens. And unless you make deals with the Umno warlords then nothing happens.
The dog is not wagging the tail. The tail is wagging the dog. And only if Umno says it happens will it happen, never mind what the Pakatan Rakyat people at the top, the EXCO Members included, have to say. What Pakatan Rakyat says does not cut it as far as the state machinery is concerned. They take orders from the Umno warlords. And there are no two ways about it.
Anwar Ibrahim has just been made the ‘economic adviser’ to the Selangor State Government, whatever that means. Why does Selangor need an adviser? It needs a CEO. In the days of the British Colonial Government before the Second World War, when the Sultans were the heads of state, Selangor had a British Adviser. Now we want to turn the clock back and appoint an adviser to the Selangor State Government like in the pre-war days. The only thing is we have exchanged a white skin for a brown skin.
No, Selangor does not need an adviser. It needs a capable CEO. And Khalid Ibrahim is not quite the CEO that Selangor needs. So what do they go and do? Instead of replacing the CEO they go and appoint an adviser to hold the hands of the ineffective CEO.
Some suspect the move to appoint Anwar the adviser to Selangor is the first step to eventually appoint Azmin Ali as the new Menteri Besar to replace Khalid. So, before Anwar can make his next move, they pre-empt it by trying to bring Azmin down. Thus that police report against Azmin as reported by Bernama above. They want Azmin dead in the water before Anwar can have visions of replacing Khalid with Azmin.
Personally, I have no problems with Azmin taking over as the new Selangor Menteri Besar. At least he is vicious enough to break some heads. And many heads need to be broken to get the Selangor state machinery to toe the line and to stop all the sabotage. But there are many who shudder at the thought of Azmin taking over from Khalid. The party will surely end and Pakatan Rakyat will be able to restore order in the state machinery if Azmin takes over. Thus the move to neutralise Azmin with various allegations about what he did in another life.
There is just too much rhetoric going on and people are getting very tired of all this rhetoric. They want to see some action. But there will be no action unless Anwar is prepared to grab the bull by the horns. It boggles the mind why in the first place Anwar appointed Khalid instead of Azmin as the Selangor Menteri Besar. Maybe it is because Azmin is too close to Anwar so he does not want to be accused of favouritism. But Selangor is too important a state. It is the jewel in the crown. Anwar should have thrown caution to the wind and gone ahead and appointed Azmin, and the critics be dammed.
Khalid has to be brought into line. And if he can’t be brought into line then he has to be axed. That is the long and short of it. Appoint Azmin if need be. Azmin can’t be worse than Khalid. Khalid is making a mess of things that if they dissolved the Selangor State Assembly and called for fresh elections Pakatan Rakyat will be hard-pressed in retaining the state. That is the reality of the situation.
Anwar has made many mistakes since 8 March 2008. We have talked about this so many times so we do not need to recap the issue. We are prepared to overlook these mistakes. We are prepared to forgive although we will never forget and will constantly remind Anwar about these mistakes. But unless Anwar corrects the biggest mistake of all, handing Selangor to someone not capable of doing the job, there is no way we are going to forgive him and the voters will demonstrate their displeasure come the next election when they give Selangor back to Barisan Nasional.
The ball is now at Anwar’s feet. And he had better know which side of the field the goal is. Currently, he appears to be shooting the ball into his own goal. Or is this being done on purpose?

“Backing Pakatan, regardless”
November 22nd, 2009 (3 hours ago) by Teresa
I spotted some very inspirational words in a status message from a Facebook friend, “Sun Line” and I wish to share them with you. After all the setbacks we have had, this is a real shot in the arm for us.
Sun Line will continue to back Pakatan, regardless. He may have slapped Pakatan a number of times but that’s just to keep it on its toes. To him, the BN is a lost cause, a damn fiasco, a bloody big time con job.
Pakatan, even at its worst behaviour, is better than BN at its best. And that’s a fact. We criticise Pakatan only because we set very standards for it. We wanna reach for the stars, and if we fail, we still want the sky. And the sky is supposed to be the limit. But we have to be realistic. We cannot afford to help destroy Pakatan now by launching endless demands. What does not kill Pakatan will make it stronger. And we should give it a helping hand.
For every Hee Yit Frog Pakatan has, BN has many more warts. Pound for pound, Pakatan reps are punching above their class.
There is NOT a single country in the world that has had a change of government and the new government is *perfect*.

RPK began with "The talks in town is no longer................." , so what is the source to claims about the talks? Merely generalisation.
"Basically, Selangor is not running as well as they had hoped. Corruption is still rampant. There is no change in the state administration compared to the days that Umno or Barisan Nasional ran the state. It is still the same shit, just different days".
It is a fact that Umno BN are in control of important post of state public administration because they are appointed based on 'kabel' or connection rather than merits. These numbers are too many. Not an easy task to get rid of in short period of time. DAP leaders always said this a very difficult task in facing public servant.
Businessmen, in particular the Chinese, still need to seek out the Umno warlords to get things done. Pakatan Rakyat may be officially running Selangor. But Umno decides what happens. And unless you make deals with the Umno warlords then nothing happens.
Businessmen still need to seek Umno warlords simply to find corrupted and easier way out for business. Pakatan can't help these businessmen for the reason that their way of doing business are against the rules and procedures. PR can't follow illegal ways of doing things as common practice during BN's rule. Of course many of these businessmen frustrated but they have to adapt to new ways of doing thing. The fact is many of these businessmen are pro-BN with long established link with BN politician.
We can't expect reforms in short period of time and it is no easy task. Many are pointing fingers and find fault at PR shortcomings and weaknesses. Hardly we see evaluations on BN performance under Najib leadership. We must ask whether BN performs well in the federal government? Don't you think Umno BN rampant corruption is worst than ever to the extend MACC become an instruments to killing.
Selangor MB and excos are doing fine in compared to Khir Toyo's administration. The main problem is at the public servant level inherited from Umno BN rule. It is the thinking culture in the public sector that hard to change and this is nothing to do with PR. A lot of wrong practices in the past under Umno BN has not recur.

PKR, is a place where the rejects from UMNO come to "cari makan", that is why PR has so much problem getting credible people to work their ass out. In general, people whom are "born" in PKR really work their way through rough and tough. Tian Chua, Elizabeth, Zaid Ibrahim, these are the people for the rakyat. That is why DAP and PAS is much more dependable and trustworthy, these people are breed here are not rejects from UMNO. It is common sense, you wanna "cari makan" join BN. Those whom join DAP & PAS till today are still poor parties, because they are "bukan hendak cari makan" but fighting for justice and fairness for all. This statement is getting less thought as PR gets more powerful and eventually, PR would be a "cari makan" party. Everything goes around and comes around.
It is really a tough issue to handle, PKR and PAS leaders have to be really heartless and merciless to solve the problem on their own members which I think, it will not come even the cow's head come home. It is like betting, some just tag along with DSAI, just wait DSAI to become somebody and get the spill over benefits. All politicians have some dark secrets that are kept in the closet. By being blunt and righteous, only brings more opportunities for BN to wack the whole thing up, when insider whom kena sidelined, cucuk belakang. Would DSAI dare to sideline Azmin for Zaid Ibrahim (he is my HERO and true MALAYSIAN)? This is because PR is not in total or majority power. When the last dictator whom rule for 22 years, are able to "cover up" all the shit because of the power in hand. If any shit does comes out from PKR, it will definitely hit the fan.
That is the reality. Khir Toyo knows it and waiting for the break.
Let's be heartless and merciless for the future of the Rakyat of Malaysia!

Anyway, to anyone who knows me personally, it's no secret who I voted for in the election. Last election I voted for Khalid Ibrahim in Bandar Tun Razak, and the election before for Chandra Muzaffar. However, I will not put down my name here because it will serve no purpose. I'm not a public figure and my name means absolutely nothing. Putting down my name might only just cause me hassle from my friends, especially in this age of g****e where simple typing my name or nickname and c***king Search will show all the postings I've ever made under my name. Anyway, you know my name since I gave you my real name when requesting for this account. I even told you where I work. Feel free to forward my name to your cousin the Sultan if you want. I'm not afraid.

What exactly did Khalid do wrong? The last time I looked, he didn't swallow millions of dollars, bomb people with c4, threaten people with kris or spew racist crap all over the floor.
So unless there are things i am not aware of, what is that for? Maybe he was too mild and inexperienced or didn't do enough but what about it? I am sure he couldn't be worst than Badawi.
I don't think he did too bad for now. In fact I'd probably fly back again to Selangor and vote him again next time, no offense.

You have been the Menteri Besar of Selangor for more than twenty months. By now you should have known all those important administrators in each department, the good and the bad. As MB you should not have any fear to show your yellow and red cards at those who readily throw spanners into the wheels of your smooth administration. It's so obvious many of them still show loyalty to Umno to continually sabotage your administration. Get rid of them before they cause more headache for Pakatan Rakyat, because as they say "leopards can never change their spots".

No matter what, stop being bought over, cause this kind of politics is the kind that has so diseased our Country that we are in the very predicament now.... !

If Khalid is not capable, then replace him with Ronnie Liu, the next person.
Just get out of this mentality in the 'ass' hole thing that you can only replace one with another of the same kind.
Similarly if FRonnie Liu is not good enough, then the next person and so on.

Anyway, ok, Anwar was the FM & DPM then, but who was the PM? Doesn't this Pewaris trouble maker know who the contents of that document (whatever it is) is with the PM's endorsement, and most probably for the benefit of the PM then? So, there you go .... I can make conjectures like that too. Why just link to Azmin & Anwar? Why stop there? Go higher and the truth may be found. Stupid.
And yes, I agree. If Selangor state govt cannot function properly as it is, then we really need someone with a firmer hold on things. An axman. Axe all those inefficient civil service UMNO doggies if necessary. If they do not serve the govt of the day, they are like spies, and should be treated as such. No more cotton candy approach. Sack the whole lot. If the change is big enough there will be volunteers to take up the slack. Remember the number of capable professional people who 'volunteered' to sit on the municipal councils .... too bad the politicians messed that up. If only we can invoke that kind of spirit again.

We do not need more drama, we need more determined plan and Khalid Ibrahim may lack it until now but he is also the best person to do it going forward.

Look at areas around Jusco where PKNS made a JV with ACMAR in Klang. This is not the only property given to ACMAR by PKNS. They also have lots in Jalan Ampang behind Glenn eagles hospital, KL.
And just by looking at their development, I can see that PKNS probably did not get a cent back in returns after giving away their land for a 30% stake in JV.
Why can't Khalid use his power and select capable leader at PKNS? That Chinese lady should have had her apointment extended.
By the way, why should present Pakatan government bow down to the wishes of chinese businessmen who want their projects? These developers does not employ locals but indons and banglas. Then charges the rakyat a ransom for their housing units. Let them starve for a few years.
Shouldn't the MB be elected by the pakatan reps instead of being chosen by one faggot? If the reps feel that Khalid is doing a good job, then he should be allowed to continue.
isn't Anwar doing the same thing in selangor as to what he did in sabah? Sound more like azmin ali is trying his best to get some respected post to further his ambition. He messed up in sabah, and now he may do the same in selangor.
My opinion is that MB Khalid is doing a reasonable job, except for the two fiasco, whereby he failed and bowed to the wishes of ketuanan racist at PKNS and the Hindu temple. He should have remained firm and set and example to other states that selangor practices equal opportunities and will not tolerate racial discrimination. That would be a huge step in the right direction.

You do have the moral authority to give Anwar this warning!
If the claim is that the bureaucrats in Selangor are siding with the UMNO warlords, thus making corruption problematic, then what about Penang?
Boes this mean that the bureaucrats here are more ethical and following the orders of the PR state government?
I do not know the answer but I really do not wish to see the fall of another pR state government to the UMNOputras!!

I have sent 2 emails to re-register but bounced back. Appreciate assistance. Thanks.

selangor under the PKR govt hasn't done any great strategic planning or actions.
all they do is RESPONDING/REACTING to attacks from inside out.
from BN and musih dalam selimut.
the fact is that any government is only sustained for 4 to 5 years from the rakyat, before the next GE.
selangor is more like on life support, because its majority is weak.
selangor and khalid CANNOT afford to focus on fighting small fires here and there and get drained everyday.
the truth is almost HALF of the 4/5 YEARS have passed since march 2008 and selangor is not much better than the fate suffered by PERAK and PENANG. they have either lost, or fighting small fires everyday.
THEY NEED TO FOCUS ON BIG THINGS, STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS, in short,
THEY NEED TO ROCK THE BOAT, ROCK THE BOAT. AND ROCK THE BOAT.
set the agenda, instead of responding to one.
stop wasting time on small issues.
there are so many things you can galvanise the rakyat:
STOP And CANCEL THE IPPS where you can,
STOP toll CONCESSIONS ewhere you can
EMPLOY LAND ACQUISITIONS against big tycoons who grabbed land
ETC ETC
