I would be satisfied with just the Agong; he is expensive enough to maintain, what with the new billion-ringgit palace. If we were to have all those other sultans, their consorts, raja mudas, raja bendaharas, and the whole slew of princes and princesses on the civil list, then I would impose strict rules. M. Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad The PM has finally taken heed of our critique on the GST. Or has he really? That’s how it seems for now. But you really couldn’t tell from this move as to why he defers the second reading of the the BIll on GST. It could have been done to evade that ugly demonstration of the Pakatan’s MPs and the NGOs that would have otherwise marred the opening of the new parliamentary session by the Agung.

My definition: Rempitism (noun; also concept and ideology borrow from the neo-Malay word rempit) - a Malaysian phenomenon in which youth uses the public road system to break the speed limit with customised motorbikes in illegal, past-midnight drag-races that rob the restful sleep of peaceful citizens; a phenomena akin to a capitalist economy of a struggling showcasing Third Word nation such a Malaysia that hypermodernises beyond the ability of its people to cope with its sensationalised designs of ‘economic miracles’. Forty-seven ( 47) years after the formation of Malaysia, Sabah still needs to "BEG" for development, which should be rightfully and duly provided. By Ronnie Klassen
