The PAS Representative Council of UK & Eire, Friends of Pakatan Rakyat, and the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM), are jointly helping to raise funds for the Tenang by-election in Johor. MCLM will also be campaigning in the by-election.

MCLM will also be sending a team down to Tenang to help campaign for the by-election. It is hoped that those who are not free to participate during the entire campaign period could at least go down on Nomination Day to make up the numbers. Special campaign T-shirts will be distributed, as we would like everyone to be in uniform. Bernard is also coordinating that.

I tried to register as a member on the MCLM website but have got no response up to now. I tried it a 2nd time last night & then I thought about the questions asked in that registration....
Without trying to sound clever, what do you expect to achieve with these questions ? I feel a sense of an "elitist" grouping & that's not what Malalysia needs - we have too many of such groups. We need to reach out to the masses....the below average Malays, Indians, Chinese & others...these are the people who have the power to make the change. The educated lot...at least the "real" educated lot have been convinced of the change needed...it is the rest that we have to reach out to. And such questions asked during the registration as a member for MCLM act only as barriers, in my humble opinion.
I would still like to become an active paying member of MCLM if someone tells me how....

Happy New year, my dear Raja Petra and family, I follow your write- ups every single day, but I was then reluctant to pass any comment much as I loved to, especially when accusation after accusation was hurled in your direction. It saddens me heaps to note there are many people out there who won't hesitate to be mean at the slightest 'provocation' they thought you caused it . Another issue which can be used in Tenang by-election is the rape by Rais Yatim. It seems that UMNO and BN leaders are condoning the rape by this Senior Minister on his Indon maid. Why is Najib not taking action? Where is Khairy who claims to fight for justice? Where is Abdullah Badawi who claims to be Mr Clean? Dont tell me that Najib also belongs to the same club as Rais but the mistake is Rais did not C4 his victim...

Wish this year will be the last year of Barisan Nasional rule. Most importantly it will also be the last one where POLITICIANS control the destination of this country not RAKYAT. As for the corrupt froggies and those soon to be froggy as a rakyat I want their lives to be like hell if PR take over. Rakyat must set a precedent to punish any corrupt officials but we need to address politician for hire first.

The odds are really stacked in favor of BN due to cheating and a biased election commission. PR must win this bi-election to return faith to the rakyat that it can win GE13.
