What a charade. And what tragic depths of professional incompetence the recent resumption of the coroner’s inquiry into the death of Teoh Beng Hock had demonstrated for the world to see. There is a lot to laugh at in Najib’s 1Malaysia, but sadly for all the wrong reasons.
As an observer, sometimes jaundiced, of the Malaysian scene, I thought I had seen it all, but I was totally unprepared for the complete and utter mayhem of the senses that developed when Abdul Razak Musa of the MACC’s in house legal talent began his cross examination of Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand, the famous Thai pathologist. His attempt to trivialise and discredit her academic credentials was pathetic, to say the least. It backfired disastrously on him.
It showed the true measure of this sad figure of fun and ridicule who claimed to possess 24 years experience as a lawyer under the belt. I have never been impressed with experience, however long, for its own sake, not unless there is clear evidence of a string of successes to back up the claim.
Abdul Razak Musa has proved my point that years spent wallowing in the mediocrity of a professionally undemanding environment counts for naught.
But then this is 1Malaysia, and things could be infinitely worse. Abdul Razak Musa is just another of the numerous unintended victims of misguided racial policies.
Pack them in as long as they are constitutionally considered “Malay” and, with a bit of luck, a wink and a nod in the right places, we should all get on together famously.
Two decades of unfettered, blatant cynicism towards issues of governance engendered and encouraged by Mahathir, and continued by Abdullah Badawi and, now, Najib, has produced a civil service of uncertain reliability.
On present showing, it is notoriously ill-equipped both in expertise and integrity ever to give practical effect to Najib’s vision of a high income, and Mahathir’s unrealistic “highly regarded,” country that is Malaysia.
Politicians may spout all the rhetorical plans and designs their disingenuous minds can devise to take Malaysia forward, but, it is the quality of the civil servants on the nation’s payroll that will make or break Malaysia.
I have come across enough top Malaysian, for which read Malay, civil service officers, including diplomats and policemen, in my varied working life, to convince me that Mahathir may indeed justifiably congratulate himself on having succeeded, beyond my wildest nightmare, to turn a once proud and largely incorruptible civil service into a ragtag band of “elegant idlers” who are also, in the main, corrupt and bereft of integrity.
As long as the Malaysian public service remains an exclusively Malay ghetto or enclave, so long will it remain closed to new ideas and innovations that would give our country its much needed competitive edge to become an important regional player. Exclusivity, in the worst possible sense as represented by the current unspoken Malay favoured recruitment policy, has already had the effect of promoting intellectual isolationism.
Living with mediocrity is no longer an option if our twin goals of high income and competitiveness are to be achieved by 2020.
The talents of all Malaysians need to be actively nurtured and harnessed for the greater good of our country.
1Malaysia will otherwise remain a hollow slogan like all the rest of the politically motivated and inspired trash often dignified and legitimised with an appeal to national duty, loyalty and patriotism.
Abdul Razak Musa represents, in microcosm, the malaise inherent in the public service at large. If he is an example of the talent available to the MACC, then as I have said repeatedly all these many months that the war against corruption waged by an incompetent leadership will not make the slightest dent in the corruption equation. At best it will raise an eyebrow or two, and even with the additional five thousand officers, it will still remain the laughing stock it has always been except when under the command of Shafie who was a man of considerable moral and ethical courage.

To dilute the non malay population, there SPA mofos close their eyes and give Kelantan and terengganu malays opportunities in civil service, education and all sort government sponsored things. Does is make sense now why our civil service almost exclusively filled by northern state malays esp kelantanese. Most of this kelantan malays never lived in plural malaysia and hence these people show no regards to other races and only want malay dominance everywhere. Most of them are atrociously underqualified but there are the ones who hold most of the important positions in civil service.
Malaise everywhere is because of UMNO controlled SPA. Change government or else forget saving Malaysia.

"Dear AG, this dude on your persecution team was actually a wanabe comedian that didn't make it thru Akademi Fantasia. Thats right. He even signed up for the wrong Reality TV show. It should be Pelawak Takutkan Orang show. Here we have about 10,000 signatures saying that he is entitled to the Pelawak show.

In his second term in office, MahaCelop force onto us the "Malay first policy" in his drive to bolster his standing, and hence the full scale deterioration in the ranks with non's totally sidelined in favour of lesser minds by virtue of colour. Unlike youth's of today ie.Namewee's generation, my father's generation and effectively yours too Tunku AA, were a docile lot that didn't put up too much resistance to protest. And as a consequence, we feel the rot at all levels and in the same breath, we have been losing our brightest/most productive minds who seek out/move on to greener pastures elsewhere.
The damage done would take at least a generation to sort itself - even with a new govt in place - before we are able to get back to the point of "equilibrium", imo. The damage unleash by MahaCelop is currently felt at all levels, right down to the lowest ranking personnel. Imagine, the relatively simple task of implementing a shift in the curriculum to broaden the use of the English language was a non starter just because the teaching ranks aren't up to the task - wither the boys and girls in school, never able to fully utilise their faculties - and that to me is a grave failing.
We live in a corrupt society, live through the incompetence and have to put up with increasing instances of bigotry(that will get worse in the run up to the next mandate) but I can overlook all of the above, if only the garbage didn't dump its swill onto psyche of gullible minds as they endure the paper chase.
No surprise I guess when we see the annual increase of grads who just can't cut it in the real world while taxpayers continue to pick up the tab (so called "post grad" courses but actually remedial/elementary English), money that could have been better utilise to benefit a wider cross section of the populace, especially those truly in need of assistance.
It is tragic, those who have toiled the hardest, shed blood, sweat and tears for donkeys years to grow the nation now have the pleasure of seeing (their) money served up for no good reason. I can't stress more of how much of an upside down world we live in, in contrast - the more deserving infirm, aging, the many retirees should be cared for and not the good for nothing fresh out of school, spoon fed bodoh's (entitlement, freebies(unpaid loan) and scholarship handouts) undeserving of their place in the sun. What a SAD SAD situation we find ourselves in by default !!!!
Regards Tunku AA and all.

1) MACC – especially his immediate colleagues. In such a high profiled case, MACC should be using DPP of the highest calibre available in their arsenal, MACC’s best surprising turns out to be just a clown and this speaks volume about the integrity and credibility of those working in MACC.
2) The Government Servant – MACC supposedly recruit only the best to serve in an important department such as MACC. Using Abdul Razak Musa as the yardstick, that’s a sickening joke. If MACC recruited the best, what’s left for the other Government departments would be too frightening even for the imagination.
3) The NEP Policy – if Abdul Razak Musa was the example of NEP’s end products, NEP was a complete disaster, good in churning out rubbish.
4) The Malay race – Choose not to elaborate but dare say not many Malays dare to admit they feel proud about his court performance.
5) All Malaysian – I pity Pronthip for having to put up with such embarrassing stupidity forced onto her, she shows her mental by being so compose and so graceful while staring straight into the face of stupidity.
6) The Nation, Malaysia.
The above could also partialy encapsulate the failure of UMNO/BN five decades rule.

Umnoputra does not belief in fade because they only make used of the MALAY Race and Religion [ISLAM] to protect them. They really make the MOCKERY of all this stuff. As a Malay Muslim I really lost my respect to these Goons the product of TDM & TAAB.
The whole of the Malaysian Institution turns into FISH Market or Kopi Shop. Are they not ashame of them selves?. I have refused to read all the MSM and TVs since I came back from overseas in 2008. I was hoping to see some change to eh way the UMNOputras behave and recognized that this is MALAYSIA.
INSYALLAH I pray to ALLAH SWT that the whole of the MALAYSIAN with join efforts will support the Pekatan Rakyat in the next General Election 13. It it's number already telling us a change shall be forth coming.
We are no longer comparable to the South East Asia. Under the UMNO Malaysia is already Bankrupt of everything and learning from what Tunku Abdul Aziz commented we can't think of anymore more wort than this. To the extend that the Famous saying "The Wise Monkey Does Not Monkey Around With Another Monkey"

amazing that they are allowed to ride roughshod on us all. just how did we become the cowering, simpering simpletons in an entire 53 years? perhaps we are not angry enough. or lulled into a slumbrous, inert lot. our mothers did have us.

All these malaise are due to Ma Had Tail's racist non-meritocratic ways of trying to advance the cause of Malay interests without thinking about the long term weakening of the Malay society.
He made them forever dependent on clutches, handicaps & handouts by his discriminatory practices.
Malays are never made to be self-dependent & self-reliant & to really compete & work hard to succeed in this increasing globalised world.
Just look at how fast China & India has progressed.
It is all about competition, meritocracy & rewards go to those who strive, excel & shine above the others.
It is an openly competitive race not one with handicaps & non-level playing field rules for the so-called "privileged" race or community with special birth rights..
