Bridget Osborne from the BBC just called to inform Raja Petra Kamarudin that the program scheduled for 3.00pm, Wednesday, 1st September 2010, has been cancelled.

Bridget said that BBC’s lawyers advised them not to proceed with the program as this would upset the Malaysian government and may even expose the BBC to legal action.

Bridget added that the questions they would delve into, which would be very sensitive in nature and critical of the government, would run foul of the Malaysian government.

The fact that the program would be accessible in Malaysia, said Bridget, makes this a problem for the BBC.

It looks like RPK is too hot even for HARDtalk and BBC said it is a rare occasion that they have had to drop a program.

WHAT A SAD SAD DAY FOR BBC . They have put their tails inbetween their legs and shrunk away from a small country from Malaysia and we are to believe this . I suspect that there is money or favours exchanging hands here ????

And what !!! They are afraid of Malaysian lawyers ?? Pls tell them just to watch the MACC idiot lawyer who made a monumental fool of himself in the Pornthip case and they will realise the tandard of these government appointed lawyers .

Sorry I dont buy it

Owing to the Batang Kali Massacre and suspected hidden agenda, there is reason now for us to doubt any endorsements by Britain or British experts to verify or endorse the veracity of any information or reports of BN/UMNO.

Let's ask the UMNO/BN government whether they will allow Discovery channel to do the documentary on Batang Kali Massacre like what has been done for the riveting No Gun Ri Massacre documentary. Don't be surprised the Batang Kali documentary will not see the light of day even if it is being produced!

We should bear in mind that BBC is no longer the much respected organization it used to be. Also, the British government appears to be held by the balls by BN as they still has to account for the unresolved tragedy of Batang Kali Massacre. It occurred in a village in central Selangor on Dec 12, 1948, when 14 members of the Scots Guards were alleged to have killed 24 unarmed ethnic Chinese and set fire to their village on a rubber plantation. "The massacre remained largely forgotten until a British newspaper in 1970 ran an explosive account of the killings, publishing sworn affidavits by several soldiers involved who admitted the villagers were shot in cold blood" - Telegraph. Could there had been a deal struck between past BN leaders with the British government to keep this under wraps?

Both sides of the government seem to be dragging their feet in this heinous crime. A case of you scratch my back and I scratch your back. Can it be the bargaining chip BN government has with the British government , among other things.? Hence, Pete, you will never see the studio lights of Hardtalk.

The massacre is reminiscent of My Lai Massacre in Vietnam and No Gun Ri Massacre during the Korean War, both atrocities committed by American forces creating public relations disasters for the US government.

Guys, you need to calm down. Britain which is the home of the BBC is still offering sanctuary to RPK. In addition, after helping to invade and occupy Iraq and Afghanistan, it has now seen the light and has pulled out of Iraq and pleading to pull out of Afghanistan.

Saudi Arabia on the other hand is the home of Al-Qaeda. Saudis are also apt to drive nails and needles into the bodies of their Sri Lankan maids.

So while you are knocking the BBC are you also helping Al-Qaeda?

BTW, to get a full picture of this awful scenario, read the following article .....

In the UK, the BBC is affectionately known as "Aunty" for its domineering presence on the airwaves but to us Malaysians, it might as well be "Big Bad Cunt" or worst.

In the days ahead, no harm any of us bombard BBC's mail box to voice our disapproval over the cancellation. The numerous "Chow Kai's" in control of the "Big Bad Cunt" need to be told off appropriately, so fire away lads.

The British are on a survival mode. They have compromised everything including precious freedom and respect for individualism .Outwardly they project themselves to be champions of free speech ,equal rights ,freedom of religion. They no longer are embodiment of a free society .They have become convenient cowards and international prostitutes ,offer themselves to the highest bidder, which is usually foreign Governments who have multi billion purchase contracts with the British for defense hardware ,or ongoing maintenance contracts and defense supplies for existing hardware. There is little in terms of export ,except arms and weapons such as aircraft ,radar etc. Although no longer a formidable force to be reckoned today both defensewise and economically ,the British do have their company logos around the planet earth.Taking the cue from Mr.Evil 's page ,do not buy or consume any product that has a British logo . The BBC is not what it seems to portray. It is hogwash. It is in fact a controlled machine with powerful people behind it whose first consideration is whether its programs are detrimental to British livelihood . The censorship is based on this criteria. The poor bastards have compromised virtually everything that they had once cherised.and with that gone ,they are trying out new methods of survival. Prostituting with their defense hardware exports is their major one. They are hanging on a thin thread and principles are least of their worries. Another commodity they added to their export in recent times is stealth Jihadist ,of which they have too many imported ,home grown ,nourished and now being offered to the international market as British emissaries . The thin thread might snap if freedom is allowed on BBC and when the demography changes you can expect young British heading in droves to Australia and New Zealand.

Hardtalk....this is what Malaysians look forward to especially it is "hard talk". So is it really hard talk after all and just where did the name come from and mean to now? And can you prove those comments here were not sensible?

If you Hardtalk could not deliver what you are supposed to as what democracy calls for and freedom of speech then what does that leave those who in Malaysia who have been doing almost the impossible with the MSM that fails to report the truth and it was through the daring blogosphere that managed to deflect lies and spinning by the government controlled MSM.

Now we could not count much on you as a credible international and renown overseas broadcaster even we have always put our money where your mouth is. It is sad, very sad indeed. Like I said if you could not do it then the people in the blogosphere have proven that they have indeed done very much to expose the corrupt under similar circumstances in whatever you are under the impression that you put under now that you have decided to pull out, sadly but true.

To cap it all, the only one who could hardtack after all is really our Maestro :Raja Petra Kamarudin

The British people have lost their ability to rob and steal and now are only able to beg, Like all beggars they succumb to the one who gives the handout. No wonder the richest man in Britain today is an Indian and not a former thief from the Colonies. Imagine, the 'mighty' British empire, a nuclear country, shaken into submission by one of its previous colonies...

And not to cut Malaysia down in size, but if it was a country like India that was making noise, perhaps then I can understand why the Brits backtrack... but this is country filled with thugs at its administrative capital, with a Godfather who is probably very involved in a Mongolian murder mystery....

And Britain is afraid of us??? What happened to those guys at Downing St who sent troops to Iraq on the strength of a lie? That was no big deal???!!?? What happened to the braves of Falklands? Balls drop off? And they called themselves Lions in the last World Cup???

Zowie....I can't believe that Lion can be bullied by Mickey Mouse....

And you wonder why the Brits are having difficulty winning the World Cup..

So, Hardtalk and BBC are just pussies.

They should just stick to reporting weather conditions (not even weather forecasts because someone might just take them to task if the forecast was inaccurate).

They were supposedly renowned for fearless reporting and quest for the truth - I suppose the fear of losing money through lawsuits or the fear of insulting the Malaysian government is paramount or more important than reporting on their abuses and corruptions to the detriment of their citizens.

Another one bites the dust. Truth is no longer important - money and subservience is overriding!
