Anyway, whatever it may be, the damage may already be done. Will PKR Sabah be reduced to a ‘Muslim party’ and the ‘natives’ (read 'non-Muslims') move on to form a new party? And would this then mean we can kiss goodbye the idea of marching into Putrajaya?

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

This was what Free Malaysia Today wrote today:

12-month suspension for Jeffrey's dirty dozen

The PKR disciplinary committee has recommended that 12 Sabah PKR leaders be suspended for a year over their role in setting up Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) last year.

Party secretary general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail today said that his office received the recommendation from the committee yesterday.

The committee had conducted its hearing against the 12 in Penampang in Sabah yesterday.

"The investigation report confirmed that there was a breach in party discipline for the twelve named, in accordance to Clause 27.7, that bounds party members to obey to the party constitution, to carry out its policies and maintain the party's good name," said Saifuddin.

Saifuddin said that the suspension will be effective as soon as the supreme council has deliberated on the matter. The supreme council will next meet on Aug 29.

He also said that the 12 can appeal against their suspension within 14 days from Aug 29.

The 12, who are all aligned to PKR vice-president Jeffrey Kitingan, are Daniel John Jambun, Awang Ahmad Sah, Moses @ Mozes Michael Iking, Nicholas James Guntobon, Paul Kerangkas, Slyvester @ Balon Mujim, Innocent Makajil, Nasir Samie, Harry Kujukok Manisit, Rubbin Guribah, Gosibin Yosundang and Guandee Kohoi

Ongoing leadership tussle

Yesterday, the disciplinary committee – made up of Animah Ferrer, P Y Wong, and Steven Choong – interviewed 11 of the 12 in Penampang, Sabah. One was absent due to illness.

The 12 leaders were subjected to disciplinary proceedings due to their role in setting up Parti Cinta Sabah last year.

The PCS was a new party mooted by some Sabah PKR leaders following a massive fallout between Jeffrey and fellow vice-president Azmin Ali, which resulted in Jeffrey being replaced as the state chief.

However, under a peace plan inked by the party headquarters here, Jeffrey was made responsible for both Sabah and Sarawak and another person was put in charge of the state. Azmin was totally removed from the state lineup.

The peace deal also ensured that there will be no witchhunt against those who had allegedly plotted against the party at that time by aligning themselves with Jeffrey.

The decision to suspend the 12 suggests that the party is ready to ditch the peace deal.

Their suspension would mean they would play no part in the coming party polls. Their backers have seen this development as an elaborate plan hatched by Azmin and his Sabah loyalists to cut off rivals from the party.

It is unclear how Jeffrey's faction will take the suspension recommendation. Previously people close to the 12 told FMT that any action against them will only cause a major rift in the party.

******************************************

The People’s Parliament has also addressed this issue in two articles -- ‘Mahathir kicked Anwar out of UMNO, yes, but who will now kick UMNO out of Anwar?’ and ‘Disciplinary proceedings or witch hunt?’.

One person who should be saying something but appears to be maintaining an elegant silence is the PKR vice-president, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan. Or should I instead say that the silence from Jeffrey is deafening?

I was waiting for a word from him because the 12 PKR Sabah division leaders are said to be ‘his people’. And these 12 are alleged to have committed a most serious crime by any political party’s standards -- they filed an application to form a new political party called Parti Cinta Sabah, or the Love Sabah Party in English.

Were they acting on behalf of Jeffrey? Did Jeffrey know what they were doing? Is Jeffrey a Barisan Nasional mole or Trojan horse?

This all sounds extremely confusing and I would not fault the laymen or women if they threw their hands into the air in utter frustration.

DAP appears to be splitting at the seams with the ongoing Selangor conflict and the dingdong concerning Ronnie Liu. Then DAP and PAS go and renew their rhetoric regarding the Islamic State and Islamic laws a.k.a. Hudud.

What is it with these arseholes? I am even more convinced now than before that these so-called PKR, DAP and PAS leaders are nothing but moles or Trojan horses sent into the opposition to stir the pot and create inter-party and intra-party conflicts. If I had any choice in the matter I would line them all up against the wall and shoot them.

Ronnie Liu has already been punished by the DAP disciplinary committee. And, tonight, they are making him face the central committee to, again, face punishment.

How many times do you punish a person for the same crime? Have you not heard of double jeopardy? It is like the Malaysian government arresting and charging me for writing an article and then detaining me without trial for that same article. That is double punishment for one crime and in law that is just not on.

Are they bent on seeing DAP Selangor split down the middle so that the state government can fall just like what happened in Perak when DAP pushed Hee into the corner resulting in her leaving the party and thereby resulting in Perak falling to Barisan Nasional?

DAP was warned that they are courting trouble and that Hee was so upset she was about to jump ship. Instead of doing something about it, they kwailan and then blamed the Sultan of Perak for the demise of the Pakatan Rakyat state government.

Sometimes DAP is just so full of shit it amazes me.

Pakatan Rakyat is talking about forming the next federal government. And how are they going to do that? Simple, they will win many seats in Sabah and Sarawak (Labuan included) -- which have a total of 57 of the 222 seats in Parliament.

Do you think this is possible?

You just don’t know how much problems the opposition is facing in East Malaysia. The problems are not with Barisan Nasional. The problems are all internal. The opposition is shooting itself in the foot and is pressing the self-destruct button every other day. And this latest PKR Sabah fiasco is one more of many episodes that is pushing the march into Putrajaya further and further away.

Aresholes!

It seems this latest fiasco was triggered by the previous PKR Secretary General, Datuk Salehuddin Hashim. According to what Anwar Ibrahim said, Datuk Saleh withheld some very crucial information from the party -- that these 12 PKR Sabah leaders had filed an application to form a new party. The party, however, was led to believe that these 12 were merely planning to form a new party and that they had not actually filed any papers to do so.

A ‘peace formula’ was then agreed and Anwar endorsed it. Then, in June, according to the party, they uncovered evidence that the 12 were not just planning but had actually filed an application to form a new party. So that is why the peace formula is now off and action has to instead be taken against them.

Jeffrey’s people deny this. They say that the peace formula hammered out was that these 12 would withdraw their application to form a new party and would ‘return to the fold’. If they had not yet filed an application to form a new party then what is there to withdraw? they argue.

What I would like to know is who is the one lying here. One side says that Anwar knew these 12 had filed an application to form a new party. The other side says Datuk Saleh misled the party and withheld information from the party. That would make Datuk Saleh not only a mole or Trojan horse but also a slime-ball and scumbag to boot. And I, for one, would be very ashamed to admit that he is an ‘Old Boy’ of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar.

Bangsat punya orang!

Pakatan parties maybe riddled with arseholes and scumbags, but no matter, I will still put my vote with them. First things first and the undeniable fact is, we NEED to have a equitable TWO party system so that we can vote one against the other and keep them on their toes, MINDFUL of our needs!!

Sam Harris has been pretty concerned with the things going on in PKR and it is not unfounded with what his intention is about putting non-political people as a third force though it might sound subjective but the objective is clear to put the force to work against what has already happened with froggies due to possible circumstances, the personal capacity of such foggies comes from many differences, money, past history, etc.

Perhaps, we should have all taken a step back and look at this possibility in a more positive light but it is still not too late. I believe Sam is sincere and I know that he is and his goal is to put the People's Power back to where it rightfully belong that is the Rakyat's choice - to have a government, A new government to replace the old and corrupted one. Sam wants you, you you , you and you. Have a ear for him.

Looks like all have forgotten why they were voted in the first place. It is for us, not for yourself.

When in times of woe, you can be united, now that you start to smell success, you start to divide and hedge. PKR, DAP, Azmin, et, etc, you ar eno different from the businessmens whose partnership starts to collapse the very day they start to show a profit.

Talk of who contributed more, who sacrifice more, etc starts to creep into the lingo. These tends to be conpicously absent when you are out of power.

In a way, Zamry has done Pakatan a HUGE favor in Perak.......they still remain united.

Yes, this reflect Anwars's leadership in some ways., I see it as half full , not half empty. I see it as Anwar displaying his strength , in finally biting the bullets in Sabah and putting the people that he can work with full there, like the new kid on the block, Azmin, All this in the midst of his greatest totally skewed legal Sodomy II battle. If he has not being so bogged down in the court and the preparation, I would expected him to fire on all the V8 cyclinders - zoom zoom in all states, if he was given the freedom to do so.,

PKR is not the only party that wil make its presence felt in Sabah. DAP and presumably PAS as well. We know these PR parties are here to stay. From history, the many other Sabah parties and their members are llke gypsies vagabonds with no roots to anchor them to true good loyalty force.. Bending with the winds of change, no matter how bad the change is, is no consequence to these parties/members witht he lure of corrupt $$$ in front of them. PKR/DAP/PAS have not bene smeared with these ugly characteristics - they are more trusted to finish the jobs to Putrajaya.

Go KL PKR to clean up the Sabah PKR. There must be only one boss in PKR - that is the KL PKR. Too many cooks in Sabah & KL PKR spoil the soup. Final say with KL PKR supremos.

Politicians are like that! Cant blamed them, or else who is going to run the country? How many would scarifies his own interest and serve you? That is why we need a new party consisting of people who fear God, righteous and love to serve the people as if serving God. Where to find them you may ask? There are but they think that politics is dirty and the people would not vote them because they are too righteous, fair to all and just in their duties to serve the people. Many are gunned down in the past.
Its time godly people step forward. Politics is not dirty but the politicians are and the people must change their mind sets that a good man can serve all and its good for all. Wake up the time is near at hand.

Re: Ronnie Liu has already been punished by the DAP disciplinary committee. And, tonight, they are making him face the central committee to, again, face punishment. "

To reiterate this important fact. Ronnie has been contrite and has already expressed his error of judgement in the backdrop of unclear standard of codes in support letters, about 2 weeks ago. Other PKR members have stood by him re meetings with reporters. He should be free from further "punishment.

Facing the committee to to revisit the issue to clarify further matters should not be seen as a problem or negative thing if that procedure needs to be done again. It should be part and parcel for get together to clear some issues in the presence of the committee. An innocent member has no reasons to fear any committiee. You may enjoy the latte caffeine fixes in the days work. It is the guilty ones, like the MP froggers, who refuse to turn up that should be thrased in the garbage bins.

Whatever the decison the disciplinary committe makes, we will support you, even if there is perceived (or even actual) harbouring of a guilty party. Some acceptable codes of standards are surely been thrusted to the members now. There is plenty ot time to get the codes fully fixed after PR gets into Putrajaya. Until then, this matter must be put to bed and regroup for the bigger picture.

It is precisely when we did not call it as triple Aresholes!Aresholes!Aresholes! and pretended all is well in Sabah in Jan 10 when the symptons are already CLEARLY showing re Jeff K non-communication/impase with KL PKR and the crap job that Jeff K was doing since , this has come to a head now. It is better to do the resturucture now than 1week out before the next GE.

If these Sabah PKR members are true patriots for Sabah sons and daughters and malaysia, they would give the perogatives to the central PKR supremo council, not to any single suspect individual character, like Jeff K.

The third force is the luxury that we could do absolutely without now. The third force would have SIMILAR type of problems, with froggers and suspect characters like Jeff K and blind loyalty and factions. Then you be triple sub nestlring dreaming away, like the Inception triple dream in one dream. This would akin to PR parties contsting in the same seat eg DAP and PKR in one seat, a disaster in 2008.

So any NGO thinking along that line, perhaps this Harris Ibrahim of SABM, I say, wake up and return to relaity. It is all a dream.

written by Better My, August 27, 2010 06:43:55
The Sabah PKR must be in clear battle state readiness and it had not been in that state at least since Jan 10.

I agree with the decision made by the disciplinary committee on the suspension of these members. They take no part in the preceeding PKR events and they have time to reflect on what has trangresssion of even thinking of an alternative party. It is just about the right type of disciplinary action. They would have been brought minimal returns to PKR/PR under the present strong influence of Jeff K. They must be shaken free of their allegiance from suspect personality Jeff K to the PKR, the party.

Suspect Jeff K personaility and are some of the current reasons
1) TheJeff K tour operator of Switzer/USA/UN (re FMT report 1 months ago) , His mind is NOT on the PKR job
2) His off tangent focus on Borneo and what else "Forum Jeff K orgniases (recently and ongoing),
I suspect gawking at native women by Jeff K is his favoruite hobby (re FMtT his favourite organising natives festivals with lots of women)
3) half of Jeff K foot in the UMNO camp advising where they have done wrong re speeches 3-4 months ago No one else in PKR/PR does the good job as consultant for UMNO - his mind appears UMNOish for the reason that UMNO is his insurance. He appears to be swayed with the winds of changes - a terrible indictment of non-committment/no die-hards loyalty in him, one that PKR could do without
4) possibly influenced heavily by his brother Prairin BeEnd lackey. His mind is possibly set on the takeover of his brother's party, probably at the hypnotic signal given by the UMNO.
5) He dreams and sub-dreams, like the De Caprio Inception, of personal self-gratification and Father of Sabah Award grandeur by entertaining F Hindraf guys on Sabah secession Jan- Feb 10.

God knows what Jeff K is doing and thinking while the other good force active combatants, like those in Sarawak, appear to be in their battle gears and making the right noises, scaring the shits of the BeEnd.

A blind freddie Jeff K leading the a blind sheep flock right into the ghaslty sharpened glistening machetee knives of the abattoir, with the shop large Las Vegas neon glittering/blinking signs: UMNO's Slaughter House. It will be all gory to the good force if Jeff has his ways. The restructure with his good flock and born again perhaps Jeff K may do the job of turning away from the gores.

The Sabah PKR under a great suspect self-appointed boss/character Jeff K, in conflict with KL PKR, has NOT not working to its max efficienty, since Jan10. Jeff K himself has stated the reasons blaming KL PKR in around Mar 10. So there is NOTHING much to shout about on the past existence/activities of Sabah PKR. We can rebuild the new beginning of Sabah PKR with committed memebrs that can work with KL PKR. The mix of the party members, whatever it is now and the future , can be adjusted and fine tuned, for the next 1-5 years, including after PR's victory in Federal. The line-up dont have to be fixed permanently. The meritorius candidates would shine through eventually. the marginalised woudl have another cracks at the positions without undue influences of the suspect character Jeff K.

Sabah PKR reps must work with KL PKR. There is only ONE boss - that is KL PKR which has the final perogative. KL PKR have to be hard to be kind to all Sabahan and all other rakyat and a much brighter future for Malaysia. To others who disagree, like Harris Irahim today, what are your alternatives? You want to run the show in Sabah PKR? Stick to your running of SABM and dont bring it into disrepute with the masses supporting SABM, because you are SABM and SABM is you.

If he carry on the Umno way of dictating terms he will just fade away and his dreams of marching to Putrajaya is nothing more of a pipe dream. The fact U have to accept is U need sabah and Sarawak to bolster Ur chance to take Putrajaya. Is Ur men is both states strong enough to muster the support? That is the question U must ask Urself. If U need Jeffrey by all means make use of him whether he is a trojan horse or not. Ur goal is Putrajaya. Don't compromise that by pitting Ur supporters who have no strength in both states against those that command support. Ultimately PKR will be the loser.

Will PR get their priorities right and stop pursuing individual agenda's and ideologies to the detriment of PR as a whole and the country itself in toto?

The need to control the situation from spiralling out of control is very clear, but if the leaders in PR refuse to bite the bullet, will we, the voters, have the will and means to force them to put our interests first, or should we hedge and increase the support to SABM and its partners?

All I can say is this, the currency that sustains politicians is votes, and only the threat of losing votes, shown to them in the strongest possible manner will force them to take remedial steps.

Only a few gems can be found in both BeEnd and PR. The rakyat must learn to play the game pitting them against each other in every GE so that we can get the best deal and performance. Malaysians are damn lousy and dumb consumers and always take crappy service without a whimper not only in the service and goods industry but also from our politicians and civil service who are supposed to be our servants. I was against SABM being the 3rd force but the proposal looks very enticing now.
