(FMT) PENAMPANG: The electricity supply scandal in Sabah has taken a new twist.

Figures disclosed by the state and federal power utility companies are at variance with each other and do not add up, according to a top parliamentarian.

The discrepancies are so great that DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang has questioned whether the persisting poor and worsening System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) on power supply in the state was genuine, or a deliberate fix.

He believes it could be part of measures to create a ‘panic situation’, so as to compel the people to accept the controversial coal-fired power plant.

As stated in the Daily Express dated 21st March, 2010.
One ex-SESB suggested that the whole TNB management should quit over Sabah's power woes!
His ending speech:-
" In TNB, even the toilet cubicles are given names!......If SESB has second or whatever class officers, it's because the first class ones have been by-passed for promotion, retired or resigned out of extreme pressures. For these reasons , the people who should be asked to resign are the whole of TNB management from Sabah up to the HQ in Kuala Lumpur. I retired with great sadness and I understand my collegues are pulling their hairs with Anugerah Kualiti Pengarah Urusan".
So Jokers with political connection and SKYHIGH salaries are sent from KL to run the Management?
No wonder Sabah has become the 2nd poorest in Malaysia!

Wait this is the time to rape the nation before being thrown out of office...check the announcements. A bridge has been proposed and the BN Gov't thinks it is time...waith for it...over to Labuan Island from the State of Sabah.

There is no economic, perhaps a little social justification, for that bridge !

There isn't the push of population and economic necessity. But what a grand, a few Billions of Ringgits, would make to the pockets of UMNO and BN. Read my lips, you can't, there will not be the requisite open tender exercise.

Coal fired power plant ? Money making, mah !

LKS has been fighting against corruption all his life and I think he can smell a corruption from a distance.
Of course something is definitely wrong somewhere just like Putralink buses are bought new but actually scrapped in junkyard of rm 9m which costs something like rm90 m (not sure i remember right) so the same story repeat itself again and again....

Just to put things into perspective.
Sabahans suffer 2870 minutes (or at least 2200 disputed) minutes of power interruptions per customer per year.
Singaporeans (no oil fields, coal mines, or water falls) enjoys 0.69 minutes of power interruptions per year.

Question:
Sabahans, why are you still with this incompetent BN Government, who is also robbing you blind? Like all Malaysians, you deserve better.
