It is Anwar’s duty to ensure that this is what will happen. Anwar must now put into place Plan B. The second liners must now be mobilised. Anwar must strategise on the basis that he is certainly going to jail and that he cannot prevent this from happening.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

I do not know whether you are into Reggae music. If not then maybe today I can convert you to ‘real’ music from the crap you normally listen to on the Malaysian radio stations.

Today, I want to talk about the anxiety many have expressed about the future of the opposition alliance, Pakatan Rakyat, in the event Anwar Ibrahim, yet again, gets sent to jail. Well, trust me, there is every possibility Anwar will be sent to jail. There may be no avoiding that.

At 5.00pm last Friday, a meeting was held in the Bangsar home of a certain Umno veteran whom I am not at liberty to mention by name. Let us just say that he knows I know who he is because I had dinner with him less than a month ago and we both ‘fought’ to pay the bill.

Nevertheless, I told him, since he was visiting ‘my kampong’, then it is my duty to pay for dinner. In the event I visit him in his kampong, then I will allow him to pay -- although if I do that I would probably be packed off to Kamunting before we could even meet for dinner.

Anyway, the meeting that was held in this Umno veteran’s house last Friday at 5.00pm and attended by many other Umno leaders was to discuss two very crucial issues. One was on how to bring down Pakatan Rakyat and the other on how to ensure that Anwar Ibrahim gets sent to jail for a very long time where he would probably never see freedom again and end up dying in jail.

That is how determined Umno is in seeing both the destruction of Pakatan Rakyat as well as the incarceration of Anwar Ibrahim. And that is why I said Anwar might be hard-pressed in his efforts to escape incarceration. It is not about the law. It is not about the trial. It is not about whether Anwar is guilt or innocent. It is about Umno wanting to ensure that Anwar ends up in jail whereby that would see the destruction of Pakatan Rakyat.

While one may happen, this does not mean the other will happen as well. Anwar may most likely end up in jail. But this does not guarantee the destruction of Pakatan Rakyat as well.

And this was made very clear by Lim Kit Siang in his statement yesterday.

Pakatan Rakyat or even Parti Keadilan Rakyat is not about Anwar. It must not be about Anwar. If the fate and fortune of the opposition rests on just one man, then Anwar and the opposition leaders have done a great injustice to all Malaysians.

Was the ANC about Nelson Mandela? Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years but did this see the death of the ANC? In fact, the ANC actually grew in strength in spite of and because of the incarceration of Mandela.

They tried to kill the ANC by cutting Mandela off from the outside world. They even denied Mandela family visits for a very long period. Even his wife was not allowed to visit him. They thought that this would sever all links between Mandela and the ANC and this therefore would mean the ANC would be leaderless and would drift aimlessly.

But this did not cripple the ANC. Life went on as usual. In fact, the ANC moved forward and gained more ground. Mandela may have been the icon of South Africa’s opposition to Apartheid. But with or without Mandela’s presence it did not matter one bit. The ANC did not die because Mandela was not around.

And this will be what happens to Pakatan Rakyat. Anwar can come or he can go. But Pakatan Rakyat will continue, with or without him. So what Kit Siang said yesterday is absolutely true. It would be nice to have Anwar around. But it is not crucial that he is.

It is Anwar’s duty to ensure that this is what will happen. Anwar must now put into place Plan B. The second liners must now be mobilised. Anwar must strategise on the basis that he is certainly going to jail and that he cannot prevent this from happening.

We are talking about The Cause. We are talking about The Struggle. We are talking about The Peoples’ Movement. We are talking about The Revolution. And this must not be about Anwar.

And with that I will leave you with this second music video about The Revolution.

There must be thousands if not millions of MT readers out there. If you guys read between the lines in quite a few of RPK recent blogs, he had dropped many heavy hints on what he expect you guys to do ( not for his sake ) but for our sake and future. He is appealing you guys to start a "VOTER GET VOTERS" campaign. He does not want you guys to comments of complaints, of evil BN, of corruptions etc etc or even talking of him as a hero.He wanted non of that. He wanted you all to go and get NEW voters, keep them well informed and vote for a Clean,Efficient,Corrupt FREE goverment. Now can you guys do that? I did it a months ago after hearing his NEW YEAR wish for ALL Malaysian of a NEW YEAR RESOLUTION of a "VOTER GET VOTERS" campaign. So let see how many of you ahve DONE that...I had, HAVE U ???????

Currently, whatever BN does will still a lose, lose situation for them. If and when Anwar is take in, he will become the 'cause celebre' , dviding the Malays even more and as a martyr, convert even more followers to his camp. The Govt takes him in at their own peril...they just have to weigh which would cause less damage for them.

To get rid of one DSAI is chicken feed to the present government in Malaysia, but to convince thousands and millions of Malaysians to vote for BN instead of Pakatan in the next GE is a huge task! The more these goons uses their dirty tactics on the rakyat and the oppositions, the more votes will go to Pakatan! Trust me, you'll see it materialized in the next voting season! smilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gif

Yes, life goes on, life must go on.
With or without Anwar at the helm of the PR.
With the dire pronouncement from RPK, I see any slim chance of Anwar winning his legal battle against the UMNOputras as mathematically improbable.
But, fortunately, RPK did not imply it is 0 so there's hope for the diehard optimist in me.
Yet, I hope Anwar will indeed implement plan B, for the revolution must continue.
Chnage we can, Change we must!!

The evil forces have decided to do us a favour
Jailing, torturing him only makes h!m our matyr
The evidence are rigged and the system set
Truths will be ignored; “guilty” is the target
For h!m, this journey forward will test h!s steel
He will be found guilty and there’s no appeal
For him and the nation, we hold back our tears
Build up our courage and rein in our fears
The persecutors forget we will have the last say
To judge them whether they are $emua-nya OK!

PKR must have in its fold several people with good leadership skills and charisma to lead the flock of PKR supporters in any contingency. However,as far as Anwar is concerned, the public cannot merely sit back and see another episode of an UMNO drama especially for the fools. There is no proper administration of laws in this country because so many exposed issues are being held in limbo as if nothing has happened. This selective persecution is painted on the canvas of Malaysian criminal laws ,thereby creating a portrait of crime .What about the many who have yet to answer the charges brought against them. Please! Zero tolerance this time to the antics of this wretched regime.Jail these Bastards and confiscate their ill gotten wealth!

Will Malaysians continue to sit back and allow another gross injustice to be perpetuated by BN? Is it worth living by looking the other way when a leader is being judged by another Kangaroo court? This is a test of character, not of DSAI, but every Malaysian.
Fooled by TDM the first time, shame on BN. Fooled again by Najis second time, shame on you!!

""""""""""""""Our enemy in that war is the ideology of Islamic totalitarianism--an ideology which holds that one's life is to be lived entirely in service to Allah, that the dictates of the mullahs must be unquestioningly obeyed and that jihad must be waged against all who refuse. Islamic totalitarianism, which pervades Muslim societies, is a sweeping repudiation of reason in favor of faith, and of freedom in favor of force. That is what makes it America's deadly enemy.

..........................This clash between faith and freedom is not confined to Islam. When medieval Christianity ruled the West, allowing no dissent from ecclesiastic doctrine, the Crusades and the Inquisition were part of the Church's "holy war" against its infidels. However, this despotism ended when the Enlightenment--which did not penetrate the Muslim world--demonstrated the power and the glory of the human mind, and entrenched reason over faith.""""""""""""

This is an open letter to DSAI.

I hope you will swear on the Quran that you did not do the crimes. The UMNO goons want to bring you down and they will.

Malaysian Quran swearing means nothing, even a murdered can swear and get away. forget about justice in Malaysian courts, you will not get it.

You have to swear on the Quran in Mecca, and this will ultimately prove your innocence. If you are not guity, what do u have to fear?

Yes - No man is an Island. We should not hang our loyalty on one person alone be he a charismatic or not. Our eyes should be on the struggle and not on the leader, as the leader may come to past but the struggle must go on. . This is the mistake that has hound man from the very beginning., from worshipping the emperor to worshipping the religious head. May be man is a born idol worshipper? As even now we worshiped 'money' more than god. Let the truth prevail and Malaysia advance by the truth of righteousness.

is great that PR sees what good they can do together for the country. and they can move on without Anwar. There are many good brains in PR and having 4 states helps them a lot. also the govt has no credibility which will get worse if Anwar is thrown into jail. and if he is not, then UMNO is screwed too. see UMNO is led by not so smart people, they never think things thru like the Allah and Anwar sodomy case.

as for UMNO, they have to wait for their opponent to fail not for UMNO to succeed. so PR will not fail. and with or without Anwar, PR will move. where does that leave UMNO? well in the opposition next election cos they are not cleaning up their act. UMNO has only fleas who are keen in money and they have not been able to attract good people and honest ones.

Go PR go...go to Putrajaya with/out Anwar and then undo all the wrongs and save this nation

Maybe Plan B is already in action? Susah la for Anwar - if he is too quiet, people say he has no leadership. If he is too loud, people say he is monopolising everything and not preparing the 2nd liners to take over.

Since UMNO intends to play hardball, then hardball it shall be. "The pen is mightier than the sword," All learned fellow citizens of Malaysia and all fair-minded persons of the world. Let your mighty pen do the talking and condemn this outrages and devious criminal act of injustice done to Anwar and let the world knows that the Malaysian government is governed by the MAFIA.

All democratic governments of the world must be petitioned by its citizens to boycott anything that is Malaysian,
