Wee, why work for free?

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

I refer to the news item "MCA rebel leader decries character assassination" (published in malaysiakini Dec 26). I think Wee Ka Siong's clarification only raised more questions than it answers. While there is no question that the services offered by his company, Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd, to Wijaya Baru is legal and valid, there are moral questions which went unanswered.

School is so near and yet so far

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

I’VE been living in the Kasawari area of Bandar Puchong Jaya since 2003. SJK (C) Ladang Harcroft started construction around 2006 and was completed about a year later. The school, in Jalan Kasawari 11, is about 100m from my house in Jalan Kasawari 9.

I tried to register my second daughter with the school in 2008 for enrolment in 2010, but was told to register only in March this year for the second batch as her mother is a foreigner. I followed their instruction.

Mkini: Shared dilemma for BN and Pakatan

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

This country is at a crossroads. This is a crossroads which we cannot afford to pause for too long to decide which path to take. In the recent weeks, we have seen both coalitions, Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat, making their political agenda public.

What can be done to curb Missing Children issue?

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

When will the last case of missing and brutally murdered children be? What are the measures taken by the government, the society and parents to curb them? The recent murder of a girl whose half-naked body was found in a pond on Tuesday, was not the first case of its kind but will it be the last?

Thanks, Tee, for drawing votes for Pakatan

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

I wish to thank Utusan Malaysia columnist Dr Ridhuan Tee Abdullah for being so clever to suggest that Malay-Muslims have more rights because they form the majority in Malaysia. His articulate political reconnaissance will surely contribute a much bigger swing of votes to the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) at the next general election.

Teknik untuk mengalihkan isu

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

Power Supply in Sabah

Monday, 28 December 2009 admin-s

This subject has been given wide media coverage for many years. Insufficient power supply is a bane on our lives, not to mention on the effects it has on our economic development. The other basic need, water, or making a profit from selling it, is another problem the state government seems unable to solve.

Zimbawe, Tale of a Failed State

Monday, 28 December 2009 Super Admin

By Kenny Gan

Rhodesia was a British colony in Southern Africa until Ian Smith unilaterally declared independence from Britain in 1965 and ruled as its first Prime Minister heading a white minority government. In 1980 power was handed over to the natives after a bruising civil rebellion which took 30,000 lives. In that year, Robert Mugabe’s party won the elections and he went from rebel leader to its first President. The country was renamed Zimbabwe meaning “great houses of stone” in the Shona language.
