The year is drawing to a close. It is, as usual, time for reflections, resolutions and for some, hopefully not regrets. As we treasure the last few hours of 2009, I thought it might be useful to remind ourselves about the inherent need for an effective opposition in a democratic country with this rewritten post which was originally posted in this blog before it was deleted for housekeeping reasons. The IGP wants the British police to detain me and to send me back to Malaysia. He believes I am in London and am living in a luxury flat in Bayswater. But why does he worry so much about me when I am sure he has other bigger problems on his hands? Well, I suppose one of the many, many reasons is this Statutory Declaration about his dirty dealings, which I revealed earlier.

The whole buzz on the Malaysian media over these two weeks is about the obsession to find and take RPK out from London back to Malaysia. Most of them who spoke of these obsessions mostly come from the mob group called United Malays National Organization. 

We are quite satisfied with what we have achieved in Kelantan. PAS has ruled for 20 years and we have not had a single corruption charge. In Selangor, given the on-ground realities, we have done well. We have hiccups, but there is ongoing communication.

(Free Malaysia Today) - Malaysian authorities have asked London police to help them track down fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

(Bernama) -- Police believe "Malaysia Today" portal editor Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin is still in London and have asked the authorities in the British capital to trace him, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said Wednesday.

Yesterday publication on Malaysian Insider gives an impression that the MACC does not want to investigate PI Bala accusations (or allegations) when Dato Mohd Shukri of MACC insisted that any investigation can be only be done after a formal statement has been made by PI Bala.Shukri also claims that PI Bala is their key witness. I believe Shukri also mentioned that TBH was also their witness when he was found dead at Plaza Massalam.

I have reasonable grounds to believe that the second Statutory Declaration dated 04.07.2008 is suspicious on the face of it. I strongly believe person and/or persons have induced, threatened and caused the production of the 04.07.2008 Statutory Declaration by unlawful conduct.
