The usual: Anti-ISA Supporters gathered for the twelfth and the last time of 2008.
The unusual: We had a silent vigil. Or rather what started as a silent vigil until Zorro congratulated all those present and we gave ourselves a round of applause.
Apparently, there was no police permit granted last night so, technically, we were not "permitted" to stand together in groups of more than four! Not surprisingly, roads were blocked, police presence was heavy just for our special group. Are we that intimidating to them?

Watch the videos: A picture speaks a thousand words. Below are the videos where you can hear every word. A “silent vigil” but a number volunteered to share their thoughts on video…

Lets use this space to Send Messages to Your MP, ADUN or political parties on either coalition.
What are the changes you want to see? Your wish list for 2009 and beyond, such as your hopes for the future and the way forward for Malaysia.
Here's my message for my MP (Segambut) and all political parties in either coalition.
I'm not interested in your political party agenda. I'm only interested in the MALAYSIAN AGENDA. I'd like you to push for all political parties in the coalition to merge as a single party by the next General Election.
Race- and religious-based political parties don't work. Too many cooks spoil the soup. I truly had ENOUGH of the in-fighting within each party and the in-fighting within each coalition over petty issues that is getting us no where. We the people are being kicked around like a football.
And as in a football team, the agenda is to win matches. All players follow ONE set of rules, listen to ONE captain and single-mindedly work together as ONE team to win matches.
Here in Malaysia, we have two "football" teams. On one side, a team with 13 sub-teams and on the other side, a team with 3 sub-teams. Moreover, each sub-team has it's own captain coupled with different agendas. And players simply fitted in to make the team. Is it any surprise why our country is going to the dogs?
Currently, it looks like the team with 3 sub-teams are now in the lead against the team with 13 sub-teams. The match isn't over yet. It has only just began. 8 March 2008. As seen, the in-fighting within the 3 sub-team began for seats and positions in the main team among other petty issues that is tearing the team apart. So there, back to square one. No different from the team with 13 sub-teams - a total failure. Each sub-team protecting its "own turf" while putting the team AND the entire nation at risk.
Commonsense will tell us the ONE team with ONE agenda will win against any team with sub-teams with different agendas within. Either the sub-teams merge as one or perish. No two ways about it. Positions in the team are NOT awards. To each their expertise in whatever field or industry. No compromise.
I'll cast my vote for the SINGLE PARTY (new as it is) that emerges. I'll hedge my bets this SINGLE PARTY will put our nation back on track faster than any coalition. A SINGLE PARTY that is totally accountable to God, King and Country and not to their political party leaders as it is now.
The REAL Barisan Rakyat, rise up!

Here's Bernard's reply, "Yes they did ask me. I told them that thanking people and scolding YBs is not a speech.it is communication. I think they got lost there. Make 2009 a better year, people.stay focused and lets walk together."
To the police causing unnecessary traffic jams on a peaceful Sunday night,I hope they are reading this, your allegiance is to God, King and Country and NOT to UMNO aka government of the day.
