KANGAR 30 Dis. – Naib Presiden Umno, Datuk Seri Mohd. Ali Rustam meminta anggota Umno agar membincangkan perkara yang mempunyai kaitan dengan Umno secara tertutup demi menjaga maruah parti.

PETALING JAYA 30 Dis. – DAP meminta Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi melakukan siasatan penuh dan memberi penjelasan berhubung kes video lucah yang didakwa melibatkan seorang ahli politik terkemuka tempatan seperti yang dilaporkan oleh sebuah akhbar berbahasa Cina hari ini.

MINGGU terakhir 2007 memperlihatkan rencam politik “selak kain sekandang” kalangan pemimpin yang mula berbalah sesama sendiri. Mungkin masih belum cukup atau “kurang tepu” kantung khazanah peribadi diisi hasil rampokan wang rakyat menjadikan mereka saling “tunjal menunjal” antara satu sama lain.

In all that has happened in our streets recently, and in the subsequent actions and statements of the Government and its officials, we can safely say that we are not prepared to engage in open debate about the problems that the people of this Nation are facing.

It's really sad that 2007 has to end on such a violent note with the death of Benazir Bhutto. But in many ways, any keen observer of Pakistan could see it coming.
