Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan says the government will seek an extradition order for Raja Petra Kamarudin if the fugitive blogger is found to be living in London.

Utusan Malaysia reported the IGP as saying that the police would seek more information from their British counterparts on the matter.

The daily had reported that Raja Petra is currently taking refuge at Trinity Court apartment in Gloucester, Bayswater in London but did reveal how it got the information.

''We are going to investigate the reports by Mingguan Malaysia and ask for help from Interpol and the British government.

''If he (Raja Petra) is there, we will ask the help of the British government to get an extradition order because he must attend his court hearing,'' Musa told Utusan.

The controversial blogger disappeared when he failed to turn up in court for his sedition trial on April 23 because of what he says on his blog was his "self-imposed exile" from Selangor.

However, the police have not been able to track Raja Petra since and the blogger has been said to be in neighbouring countries including Melbourne, Australia.

Raja Petra has been a thorn in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s administration, especially after the recent allegations made by P. Balasubramaniam.

In an interview on his Malaysia-Today.net news portal, the missing private investigator claimed that Najib’s architect brother was allegedly involved in the private investigator’s disappearance and a claimed payoff for his silence in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case.

Raja Petra has used his blog to make unrelenting attacks against Najib and his wife, accusing them of involvement in the murder of Altantuya, the Mongolian lover of the PM’s associate Abdul Razak Baginda.

He is accused of publishing the article “Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell” on his website.

Raja Petra was detained under the Internal Security Act last year but a court subsequently freed him.

The influential blogger also claimed he would not get a fair trial.

ah yes tan sri. most good. but meantime back home while you and your mata-mata run around, and the attorn genitals cock around, we have rampant common crime on the streets, women bashed while getting into their cars/homes, various law-abiding citizens accosted and assaulted nilly-willy, children and teens missing and so on and so forth.
and all this while tan sri and his spokesmen will say WAATODOO, WAATODOO? translation: they (name it, polis, AG office, judiciary, maack) don't have enough people for the job.
why leh? maybe half are selling tupperware or doing their own thing, another quarter are just plain hopeless, and the rest of them are just marking time either for personal preference or because higher-ups say mark time!
can i just simply suggest to tan sri DONT WASTE YOUR AND TAXPAYERS' TIME AND MONEY with this stupidity of getting RPK. what has he done that's WRONG? what he accuses should rightly be bought up in hearings of a rightful, independent court of JUSTICE. if he said wrong rubbish, let him rue his indiscretion; if he produces evidence/witnesses to prove his grounds then surely the court would know that to conclude!
so, tan sri surely you must know and surely you must know what to do/say, and surely you must realise you are a paid servant and mustn't waste any of taxpayers' most valuable contributions.
so either you can/and know or you haven't the faintest.

IGP Musa wanted to extend his service contract probably because he has a subservient order from Najib to nab RPK.

Also because of the implosive allegation of his collusion with the underground kingpins as reported in the numerous SDs. His vengeance is brewing in his heartbeat, but if not because of his recent bypass, he would have garnered enough manpower logistics to nab RPK, willy nilly.

Strange though, occupying such a highly responsible and important government post that has imminent impact on the nation's secuirty, and law and order, Musa deems it fit to remain silent and ignore the allegations which have negatively affected his repute, character and image.

Why couldn't he just file a litigation summons against RPK and Bala for libel and slander? Remaining silent and inert is not the option for exoneration.

Pray thee, RPk must be extra cautious to plan his strategy well and escape Musa's dragnet until his extension contaract expires in Spetember 2010, or is it going to be renewed until RPK gets arrested?

Never underestimate the intelligence and shrewdness of Najib. He has trickery plans up on his sleeves to ensure his survival as PM of Malaysia. Now he is mobilizing thousands of Govt Transformation Plans just to divert the attention of the public from his sleazy scandals of Altantuya, Bala, and ZZ, and so many other scandals.

''If he (Raja Petra) is there, we will ask the help of the British government to get an extradition order because he must attend his court hearing,'' Musa told Utusan.

Then we also heard it through the grapevine that France is looking to ask Interpol to extradite a Razak Baginda & possibly another something Razak as they "must attend a French court hearing" into some military sales kickback case. But hey, don't ask me, I don't know the details. smilies/grin.gif

I don't believe extradition will be permitted based on the fact that sedition will no longer be a crime in UK shortly as sedition and seditious libel were abolished by section 73 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (with effect on 1 January 2010).

Basically no civilised country would allow extradition for an offence which is not punishable in their own country.

Oi Lancau IGP - RPK's mother is Welsh.

Therefore she is British

British law will therefore recognise him as British too regardless of his Malaysian passport.

They will tell you to fcuk off.

You might need a visa to go there yourself.

You can only go freely to Zimbabwe, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Burma, Sudan and Iran.

I suggest musang the fox try to get a ticket to ulan bator and arrest RPK rhere. I bet the fox wont be allowed in by the U.Bator authorities. I wish RPK well there. It's mind-boggling to think that the musang people are still unable to locate the prince! What kind of police force do we have here. Shame shame shame.

And when that happens, MORE filth about UMNO will be shown to the British public... what a shame.

please concentrate on local criminals, don't try to be clever going to London to arrest RPK. there are so many unsolved cases in the country, why go international? go catch the F5E engine thieves first !!! what about TBH's murderers? have you arrest or interrogate the deepak bros, nazim and najis bros, bigmama? if NOT then don't waste your time going to London, got it?

we are your BOSS, we pay your salaries....go go go, do your job or else pls resign and let others have a chance to make the arrest of those criminals roaming in Putrajaya especially.

Then you will be setting a precedent as BN scoundrels will surely and definitely be hunted down once Pakatan takes over the government of Malaysia. I bet Razak Baginda will not be feeling so safe now. Is Najis going to SMS him saying all is cool?

LMP : What did this royal family member says about your PM?

Musang : Well, he made nasty claim about my PM and wife killing a Mongolian lass (oops, i'm not even suppose to mention the word 'Mon...')

LMP: did they kill her?

Musang : of course not, don't be daft.

LMP : have you investigated thoroughly?

Musang : we don't have to. we were told by the PM they didn't so they didn't. plus, the missus pay me a £ 500,000.00 reward if i catch that royal family member dead. it is afterall the £ and not the worthless RM hehehesmilies/grin.gif oh, by the way, the PM promise me another term if i catch this RPK

He is a persecuted political refugee ,not a criminal ,and you cannot wipe out his beliefs ,his conscience, therefore political asylum should be accorded to him by UK. Over 100 ,000 Malaysians will initiate a signature campaign appealing to the United Kingdom, the bastion of Parliamentary democracy to grant him asylum. Need to give maximum international publicity to seek justice. Bet you ,it would be an unwise move by IGP as the fallout would be atomic in nature ,internationally ,and exposing Malaysia's kangaroo court. Something Najib would rather avoid.
