Teoh exhumation begins

(The Malaysian Insider) - The exhumation of Teoh Beng Hock’s body for a second autopsy, ordered by the inquest into his recent death, has begun. The exhumation comes following the testimony of Thai pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand that the death of the political aide was very likely a homicide.

A team of ten police forensic experts had earlier cordoned off the grave area with the aid of several cemetery workers, who are helping with the exhumation.

Teoh’s family members arrived earlier, and began offering rites to the departed’s spirit. A feng shui master explained that the time of the exhumation had been chosen specifically to coincide with swallows beginning the day, for good luck.

Dr Pornthip is also on the scene to observe the exhumation process.

Teoh’s former employer, Selangor state executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, said at the cemetery: “I hope the second autopsy will reveal the truth.”

Yong also stated his desire to know how much government spent hiring the UK pathologist — one of two foreign pathologists, along with Dr Pornthip, who will be observing the second autopsy.

“The fact that they hired a foreign expert shows they have no confidence in the local pathologists,” Yong added.

DAP’s Lim Kit Siang and Ronnie Liu were also in attendance. Both expressed hope that a fresh autopsy will reveal who or what “killed” Teoh.

guys, at the end of the day, it's still just the findings of dr shahidan and dr saravanan. dr pornthip, god bless her, may have offered to conduct the autopsy, but she is only one of 4 observers.
what she "observes" may or may not advance findings on the very important questions she raised at the inquest - that resulted in the exhumation and this 2nd autopsy.
so whether that's all going to be fruitful or fruitless in determining the truth to Teoh Beng Hock's death depends on what the pathologists determine this time, and one other thing: the wisdom, veracity and valour of the coroner.

Whatever the results this time , i am very happy that KhunYing Pornthip came personally to observe the exhumation and tomorrow's postmortem.
Her presence during the entire exhumation process reflects her seriousness and passion in her work as well as to make sure the coffin is not open and contaminated by the bn govt.

I think the case of TBH has progressed as far as it has been simply because najib & company has allowed that for two reasons.

No.1 is to divert attention from his (najib's) own continued public interest in his case.

No.2 is that najid has to be seen to walk-the-talk with his transparency policy, especially if the 'transparency' does not involve him and his cronies.

So, i would not be at all surprise if the TBH case ends with some suckers being prosecuted for foul play and we Malaysians can then say,"See! Najib is indeed cleaning out the government as he promised".

Thank you Dr.Pornthip for coming all the way to help out in this 'modern & developed' country where their own pathologist are all asleep and not any to be seen. Even the govt has no confidence and faith in them cause the have to hire a foreigner Dr Vanezis now to watch their side. Wonder how much the govt IS PAYING THIS DOCTOR FROM OUR (taxpayers) money. So much for 1malaysia and Bolehland. No confidence in their own products which are churned out of colleges and universities

The BN Govt from the very start have been heartless to the family of TBH. So many of their minister and MACC Dept Head had made very cruel comments on his death trying to blame the deceased himself and the family without a due investigation then. And yet for political reason, Najib was quiet and and silenlty supported the MACC bastards and Hishamuddin the clueless talker speaks his senseless and bias statements were also allowed to get away with it.

The BN Govt has no idea of what they want to achieveexcept to defend ascertively when they are caught red handed in many case but the ppl know better. Look at how many of this thing the BN is doing is coming from the opposition's idea
1. Sept 16 for Malaysia day. Has been press so becoz now they need the east Malaysian to support them
2. Opposition has been asking for the MACC to address the corruption independenly without prejudice only to the PR ppl. Only now the MACC are acting on UMNO and BN ppl. Shows that they do not have a mind of their own and have been asked by Najib to act on BN just to show that they are independant. Again what they are doing is only catching the smaill fish in UMNO.
3. Improvement on the police force which has been questioned time and again by the PR in parliment and only now are they stepping up the force which was all along on a corruption mode. But having said that, the police are still on that note and taking bribes while stepping up the patrol and etc. This means more security and also more bribery. How effective on the security is only left to be seen. I wonder why they bother to extend Musa's contract (apart from the fact that Musa is holding the PM's balls on the information of Alatantuya's murder) when the police force is only heavy on the offensive tactics but not in solving the murders or crimes in the country. Case in point one of the author in the blog mentioned, only the criminals gets killed but the police alway escape without even a scratch. Ever thought of whether it could be becoz the ppl in the police force are not that smart and only looking for direct deals (ie bribery) and when all fails they turn the guns on their partners in crime!

I think if this is the way the BN Govt needs to be run, maybe the PR shouldin directly manage the country by suggesting all this improvement which the BN is using and calling it their own initiative.

both pathologists Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand and Dr Peter Vanezis are truly professionals in their fields. they help the dead to 'speak out' about their mishap by collecting evidence and solving them thru autopsy. the truth is one straight line.

sadly, both of our local pathetic pathologists will spin the evidence and 'speak out' only to what MACC wants to hear......

OK.. 2nd autopsy... BUT one question.... WILL THE kangaroo court TOLAK the evidence, OR NFA from the Polis investigation...

To me.... There will not be any punishment to the MACC.... as long as BN/UMNO are in control.

this will be the 2nd case that will never be solved. (1st, of-cos is the C4 case) (sry kugan, ur dead are not a case.. is an accident)
