Molotov cocktails thrown at Manjeet's house tonight

I have today at 7.20 pm had Molotov cocktails thrown at my house. The resulting fire caused damage.
I believe this was a warning and threat to me and my family arising from my presence as a lawyer at a recent recording of an interview with the missing PI Bala who is connected to the Altantunya case.
It is tragic that such threats have to be issued. Those who have elected to issue such threats have failed to appreciate that lawyers have a role to play in the discharge of their professional duties. I have no affiliations or ties with any political party or faction and have for the last 39 years of my role as a lawyer maintained that neutrality.
My presence at the interview was as Mr. Americk Sidhu’s lawyer. Mr. Americk Sidhu was the lawyer who acted for PI Bala in the making of Bala’s first Statutory Declaration. My presence and role in this PI Bala interview was apolitical and was to ensure the integrity and voluntary nature of the interview.

I will be accused again for adopting a fatalistic stance. But let me say this again.
There will be lots and lots of intimidation by the unseen hands of UMNO/BN and especially the centre figure in the Altantuya murder who is none other than Najis.
And again I say al such intimidation will just go on and on without an end to them. We can't expect anything from the police who are up to their eyeballs in equal guilt being the principal running dogs for those who walk the corridors of power.
Those who express anger and protest vehemently will only be done in vain. No action will be taken. Take my words for it.
But there is a silver lining in every cloud to quote an oft-used cliche. The more reaction caused by the unseen hand will strengthen the rakyat's conviction that there is indeed something to hide and fear from those who are guilty.
And we need brave people like Manjit, like RPK, like Bala to persevere not to expect immediate triumph over the evil that permeates the entire Malaysian government but to bring home to each and every rakyat how serious the situation has gotten in our country.
And following this realisation the rakyat need to make the decision to kick out UMNO/BN through the ballot box come GE13.
All such bullying tactics, in a perverse way, is welcome. It helps keep the Altantuya case alive.
