Don’t allow a handful of those who sit on the throne intimidate you into thinking that you are alone, representing the Rakyat, against the Monarchy. No, we are with you, as are many other Royals.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Dear Datuk Seri,

I am going to make this short and sweet. No more cheong hei article from me.

They can lock the Perak State Assembly building if they want. The building is not important. If the building is inaccessible -- say like there is a flood or an earthquake brings it down -- does this mean the State Assembly can’t meet?

Of course it can. It can meet anywhere, not necessarily in that particular meeting.

Go find another meeting place, tonight, now itself, and hold the meeting there tomorrow. Pass a vote of confidence to support you as the Menteri Besar. Then pass all the other motions, including the motion to dissolve the Perak State Assembly. Then drive up to Bukit Chandan as soon as possible and inform Tuanku of the State Assembly’s decision.

If Tuanku refuses to comply with what is clearly lawful, then challenge him and, if necessary, trigger a Constitutional Crisis like never before seen in the 52-year history of this nation.

The people are ready. The next ‘revolution’ is not going to be a race riot a la May 13. It is going to be a class struggle. And I am with the Rakyat on this, never mind my so-called Royal background.

I speak as a Royal but speak for the Rakyat. And rest assured there are many other Royals who share my view. Don’t allow a handful of those who sit on the throne intimidate you into thinking that you are alone, representing the Rakyat, against the Monarchy. No, we are with you, as are many other Royals.

Grab the bull by the horns and bring it to its knees. And if this bull wears a crown so be it. The Rakyat have spoken. Don’t back down now. Go all the way or forever lose that advantage. And if you fail to go all the way, the Rakyat will never forgive you and you will lose our support till the end of time.

Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku.

Datuk Seri,

Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku.

恕小人无礼,央求殿下慎重考量,别再让人民失望。人民的意愿是找寻真理与公正。希望这也是殿下的意愿。

Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku. Daulat Tuanku.

IF UMNO FEELS GREAT FOR HAVING MISGUIDED OUR DYMM RAJA AZLAN SHAH INTO THIS PERAK MESS, JUST WAIT AND SEE THE WRATH UMNO IS GOING TO FACE AT THE HANDS OF OUR BELOVED
DULI FOR THEY HAVE CREATED A 'ANTI-RAKYAT SCENERIO' IN PERAK BY THE ACTION OF UMNO.
THE RAKYAT OF PERAK AND ALL MALAYSIANS LOVE THE SULTANS AS THEY ARE OUR SAVIOURS TO GIVE THE RAKYAT A PEACEFUL LIVE AND LIVING. NOW YOU SEE THE SCENERIO IN PERAK.
THE SULTANS KNOW THAT IT WAS UMNO WHO WITHDRAW THEIR IMMUNITY DURING MAHATHIRS ERA.
NOW UMNO IS TRYING TO FOOL THE ROYALTY BY PLAYING A GOODY-GOODY GAME WITH THE ROYALTY
AS THEY IN A FIX BY THE RAKYAT.

IT WILL BE A GREAT DAY FOR THE RAKYAT OF PERAK IF THE ASSEMBLY IS DISSOVLED AND A FRESH ELECTION BE HELD. THE ELECTION TOO HAS TO BE MONITORED CLOSELY FOR FEAR OF FOUL PLAY. THE RAKYAT ARE FED UP WITH THE UMNO LED GOVT.

The results of the By-Election would confirm the choice of his Rakyat.

Justice & Fair Play
Pro-Royalty

It is a digrace and a bladdyblow for the communist UMNO BN for not allow the Opposition PKR to enter the assembly building and order the UMNO BN dogs to guard and chase away law makers in Perak.

UMNO BN has done everything illegal on earth to win and keep it"s power grip on the rakyat. And yet gets away with it. Why? because there some greedy pigs in all departments and the UMNO BN uses them to do their dirty work.

I just wish that those in uniform wake up from their hypnotised state and come out fighting for the people and the country.

It is sad to see the political crisis in Perak has not met any resolution as yet. Many know that this crisis is brought by Barisan through support from their highest hierarchy. As Nizar himself puts it – it has been a ‘coup de etat’. The Pakatan Rakyat government was brought down through events orchestrated by the Barisan’s warlords. Nizar did not lose but he was betrayed. We know now and we have read so many speculations as to why these three State Assemblyman defected. Money and protection spring into mind.

The rakyat in Perak fully supports DS Nizar and still considers him as their MB. He acquired his position legitimately through the democratic system chosen by the rakyat as a majority. And just like any other human being, he is not causing a nuisance but is only fighting for his Rights. The rakyat knows that. Nizar is very disciplined, God-fearing man, a good loyal family man and his mission in politic is to help the rakyat not for personal gain. He hails from an ordinary family and his mother worked very hard to keep the family together and obviously Nizar has seen this all along and grew up with hardship.

What the rakyat wants is the democratic system to be put in place again. If Barisan wins then by all means, Perak is theirs but Barisan will never take this challenge, will they because they know pretty well, where the support will go.
In a Democratic system the rakyats holds the power and it is their Rights to chose who they want to be their PM. In the previous GE, they voted for Pakatan Rakyat. The three defectors have betrayed the rakyat and they should vacate their seats if they have balls. Obviously not!. They are cowards.

It has been too long now that the situation in Perak has been in a ‘stale-mate’. It’s about time that some form of solution be sought and this will not settle unless if the rakyat chooses. The state has not been running the way it should be, development programmes delayed etc and all because this political crisis is not allowed to end. There is only one person who could put a settlement to this and that will be our DYMM Tuanku. We put our faith in him. Daulat Tuanku...menjunjung kasih.

The way I see it, the Royal house is also split between the pro-rakyat or pro-BN. One side of it is such as Sultan of Johor & Sultan of Pahang. The other side probably, Sultan of Terengganu, Perak & Selangor. So RPK is right. Hopefully our monarchy will listen to the public opinion and avoid our monarchy system been irrelevant in future

Hi Superadmin, At the risk of incurring your wrath, I have this to say about SamYap's entry in this blog; that you were just too trigger happy. If you are gentleman enough, you'd admit that you did get personal when you referred to him by name in your second post when you urged the readers to get off our butts to go to Ipoh. That was the sore point. In his reply to you he quoted that second message.

And to be fair to everyone, its not everyone's cup of tea to commit harakiri in politics. To be incarcerated under the ISA does not prove anything. Some of us prefer to work with messages and spreading the news. And that is in fact more important than just shouting slogans walking the streets. There are many folks out there who has yet to be convinced of the need for a change and its people like us who should spread the news.

I have not met SamYap but I have heard that he does his bit, aside from walking the protest route, by printing out articles from MT and leaving them on car windscreenwipers especially when he is passing through the small towns.

The readers here should ask themselves this question, which one of you are in fact actively working towards a new Malaysia, other than bangin your PC to hit out at anyone who dares to offer an alternative view for the sake of improving the way we work towards a change?

Its funny that the ones who hit SamYap the hardest are the ones hiding behind pseudonyms and you dare to cast the stones? Its no wonder that SamYap said it seems the new Malaysia may just be more of the same old 'might is right' instead of proper discussion.

I hope that people like SamYap would not be turned off by such crass behaviour as we need more people like him and less of the thuggish types.

The lesson from all this is, Pakatan should have dissolved DUN earlier to avoid all this drama.
Selangor would be well advised to stay alert.

Macam mana Tun, I repeated my question. Well, Zambri calls for an assembly, the first order of business being to endorse the action taken by the Perak Sultan. Who would not endorse the sultan's action? The PR people too would endorse the action of the sultan, because abstention or refusal to do that would be an open declaration of defiance against the Ruler. Not even the most intractable PR man would refuse to endorse the Sultan.

The second order of business is to move a motion to elect a new speaker. By that time Zambri would be able to muster majority support in the house to succeed at that motion.

The above was Tun Daim Zainuddin advise to Zambry. Too late now. Kah kah kah.

Yes RPK is a great man! I salute him and he deserves our praises.

But where is the Sultan of Perak now?? At this moment when he is supposed to act fast to bring justice to the State, can he be silent?? If he still think that the people SHOULD respect him, he is dead wrong. What he needs to do now is trying to EARN BACK the respect from the people!! This is the moment he must act justly according to the will of the people, he must not act for his own or his family's gain and benefit.

Super Admin: thanks for the clarification. Perhaps SamYap was just wrong, not "distorting" (a term that suggests purposely changing the facts). Perhaps I'm a bit naive, but I feel "whacking" is a bit harsh: everyone is entitled to make mistakes, just point out the errors. We got enough whackers in the Polis, FRU, Mat Rempits already, let's just present the facts and leave it to the good readers to judge.

Peace. We all wish it, but it just takes a small thing to break it.

Otherwise the future of the royal house may be jeopardised as many younger Malaysians voice their anger and frustrations.

HeeHaw, it is not about not allowing dissent. SamYap distorted what actually happened during the BERSIH march of November 2007. The police had classified it as an 'illegal assembly' and said they would arrest the marchers. But the Agong issued a statement saying he would receive the Petition from the Rakyat. The police had no choice but to allow the march to go on and tens of thousands participated in it.

The way that SamYap put it was as if the Agong was not with the Rakyat. That is extremely unfair to the Agong and that is why SamYap got whacked. He sounded just like the BN mainstream media.

The rakyat is sick and tired of the police to serve UMNO and UMNO only. It is time for a real change.

Why are certain people soooo afraid of having elections??

If the rakyat has the strong resolve, we can restore the glory of the state of Perak!

And Hee Yit Foong and the other 2 PKR MPs may just not get their $$$$. But if they do get the money, it will be the most expensive loss for UMNO. They still do not understand that the rakyat is everything.

I'm afraid I sense a loss off good sense here, what's with all this revolutionary talk and then hitting any dissenting opinion like SamYap....this is really no better then the heavy-handed UMNO and it's we-know-best attitude.

We rakyat can rally around a cause, but guys like me would prefer to show our disgust with BN at the ballot box. Taking to the streets on certain occassions to voice our displeasure is OK too, but it needs to be well-planned and devoid of any violent mood...not because we are cowards, but because violence never solves anything it just makes everyone harden their positionand then change becomes harder (look at Iraq, Burma, Gaza).

However, its your opinion and like everyone else, we are all entiled to our own views. How well do I know RPK? I know him but not well enough to know how much hair he has on his head. He got every right to be angry.. some are great talker as you said..Just sit behind a keyboard & post comments.. have you been with RPK? Let me ask you , what the heck do you know about RPK , other than what you read here & there.

Yes! what he said is correct.. some of the crying babies here are a bunch of losers.. Amen!!

Opinions are good as long as it is constructive.. Not just complain only.Give Solutions, Put it into Actions.Look at Hindraf, no matter what it is,they showed the courage to do it.They didn't do it behind the Keyboard. They did it in front of the FRU & Water cannon..Can you do it tomorrow? Do you dare go in under ISA ?

I call upon the IGP, the AG, the Judges and the government servants, you are to act neutral and professional. This is an opportunity to you to uphold the constitution. Follow the law and not other things else.

If the Perak Assemby Speaker is acting within his right as many lawyers have given their opinion, then it should be allowed to carry on. The decision made by the assembly regardless the venue, shall be legally binding. Everyone including the Sultan MUST respect that decision as it represent the people decision.

I salute RPK, Bar Council and many more patriots for speaking out for the constituition. If the constitution is not protected and not respect even by the Sultan then there will be total breakdown and the biggest losers will be Malaysians including the Sultan.

Superadmin, You are getting personal. Whatsup? Are we not entitlted to our opinion and where is the spirit of discourse and discussion that was part of the raison
de' tre for MalaysiaToday. It looks like if we get a change of govt it will merely be superficial as what is evidenced here is the same old "we are right, and you are wrong". Like anyone else here, I too am for change and what the fcuk do you know about fighting for change? Just because you sit behind a keyboard, post articles and police the comments ensuring that all must say Yea and no one must say Nay though it may be reasoned?

And what the hell do you know about me? Where the hell were you when the fcuking FRUs chased us all over the place? Where the hell were you when the slaughter exploded in 1969? Were you there with me to witness the atrocities brought upon the people of Malaysia by UMNO? Don't you think I want change?

You may be superadmin, you may have the power to ban any future comments by me, but you sadly miss the point about free discourse when you start getting personal.

RPK is not some god. He may be a Warrior for Change but not a god, not infallible, and its our duty too, to ensure that he does not get shit for nothing and neither does he get anyone into shit.

Ban me from commenting if you wish, it only shows how shallow you are and certainly not fit to police the comments. By getting personal you have just sunk as low as the UMNO Youth bastards themselves.

Well said, Pete!
Now you're talking!

Our Police seem to think that even the Legislative Assembly can also be considered an "illegal assembly", and hence need a permit to "assemble"!!
They now have started thinking that they are above the lawmakers themselves.
Next they'll say that the Speaker of Parliament needs to apply for permit or they may be charged under the Police act!

BN are using the Police a little too much here - it is something that will come back to haunt them in future.

To the leaders of Pakatan Rakyat, if you wish to effectively represent the rakyat, you have to act boldly and decisively. You have failed previously to anticipate and forestall countermoves. You can expect that, again, there will be attempts to thwart your actions. Do not fail us again.

You can be assured that the rakyat will stand behind you. Perak will be the place where we will determine what direction our democracy takes. Tomorrow is when we will see whether our dreams can materialise or again be dashed.

DO NOT FAIL US!

In case the gate of the state assembly is locked, open up the tent and hold the meeting at the gate of the state assembly in the full glare of all passers-by, local and foreign journalists, camera-men, tv crews, etc . You are still holding a meeting at the state assembly, is it not?

That will make a great impact and shame the ruling regime. Immediately, the whole world will know the absurdity and the high-handedness of the BN government and the Perak royalty.

Whatever answer, go to the EC to start preparing for re-election. For that you have don't your part, if the AMMNO tyrant do not do anything, it will be in their court. Finally, a confirmation that the meeting could take place any reasonable place.

Two things though.

1. Even the Agong could be prevented from seeing the people. Even if the State Assembly voted accordingly, it would not be surprised that all roads leading to the Palace will be sealed.
2. Whenever UMNO deemed anyone or a group a national security threat, it would not be surprising to read that at least 8 ADUNs are ISA-ed tonite and thus BN ADUNs will outvote PR.

Are Umno politicians and lawyers illiterate? The state and federal constitutions clearly spells out the separation of powers between the executive, legislative and the judiciary. The actions of the Speaker are beyond the jurisdiction of the courts. Why then did Zambry file several applications to the court to overturn the Speaker’s decision?

The court should rightly refuse to entertain Zambry’s applications as it has no power to do so. Anything interference by the court will violate the constitution and create an even bigger constitutional crisis which strikes at the heart of our Westminister system of government.

Locking up the state secretariat building to prevent a meeting of the Assembly from being held is a brazen interference of the executive into the legislature and typical of the thuggish behaviour of Umno.

The best solution to the Perak impasse is to dissolve the Assembly and call fresh elections. Any party which dare not face elections has no right to call itself a legitimate government

And I am suspicious of whether the YMM Agung was in fact actually concerned about Bersih's goal of a clean election. We haven't read any statement from the YMM Agung about that too. Sure he needs to remain above politicking, but saying that the rakyat wants a clean election is not politics. So I hope this time you are right about this one. I am really confused with Perak from the day Pakatan won. The appointment of exco and MB was delayed. Then one insubordinate employee who was transferred out by MB asked to remain. Then when Speaker declared resignation the EC refused to hold by election. Now when the MB asked for dissolution the Sultan refused but sacked the MB instead.

When Speaker asked to convene state assembly Sultan did not respond. Then state secretariat building is closed. CPO telling emergency state assembly is illegal bcoz secretary says so.

Hello does this mean only BN is allowed to rule? sO WHY BOTHER WITH ELECTION?

Spot on RPK Sire. This is the most concise message you ever delivered.

Datuk Nizar, try to get his message right. Terse and instructive. No more delays please! PR YBs, please notify the PR state assemblymen of this call.

They can lock whatever they wanted locked away. It is a sign of fear of losing something they want possessed. But they cannot lock the power of the people. Some people still do not understand from history.

My Dear RPK,

We mean well for you. It is no shame to leave the country for a while. Seek political asylum some where first. You can do more and still fight than they shut you up.

All the RAKYAT will approve of this as this is the most wisest of thing to do. There are ways where we can get you out safely. I hope you, my dear brother, take my advise.

To stay is anything but GOOD.

Thank you sir, as I am sure you will do the right thing and still fight for a better Malaysia even when some arsenic idoit don't want you here.

Don't give them the chance to silence you and it is that they are most afraid of.

1. In Thailand, the yellow shirts blocked the airport for days and the Court brought down the Government to her knees.
2. In Guinea-Bissau, they assasinate the President to remove him
3. In Iraq, Bush send in the military to force a regime change to replace Saddam
4. In Malaysia, the rakyat is patient enough to do it in the ballot box. If it has to take another 3-4 years, we shall wait and do it when the crunch time comes.
5. There is just no other option. Yes, change we can and must.

“An 18th century American lawyer, Patrick Henry, once wrote, ‘The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government...”

In graphic terms, what the famous American patriot was in effect saying is that the law is what political scientists call the cage that prevents the lion of power from mauling the innocent lambs, the black sheep, the hard-working ox and the cunning foxes that are found among the people.
