Mum sues to claim Jamaluddin Jarjis’ billions


(MMO) – The mother of the late Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis has launched a Shariah court action for a share of his RM2.08 billion estate.

According to The Star Online, Aminah Abdullah, 85, submitted the application through her lawyers in March.

“The assets include 20 properties in Malaysia, the United States of America and Mecca, Saudi Arabia and companies,” lawyer Kamar Ainiah Kamaruzaman was quoted as saying.

Jamaluddin was killed with five others when the helicopter they had been travelling in crashed in April 2015.

He was Rompin MP at the time of his death and the chair of the 1 Malaysia Peoples’ Housing (PR1MA) scheme.
