Khairy says they were not told the truth regarding 1MDB

(The Star) – Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin says he fully supports the motion filed by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng for the Auditor-General and Public Accounts Committee to reopen investigations into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

The former youth and sports minister said Umno and Barisan Nasional did not want to carry this “live carcass” anymore.

“We want the people to find out the truth about 1MDB.

“We want to make sure we are free of this burden,” he told a press conference here Friday.

“We also want to find out the truth because, you know, as former Cabinet ministers, there were also things that we were not told.

“Because before this, we didn’t know. There were things that were hidden from us,” he said.
