Vote MCA, Hadi tells PAS members

(The Sun Daily) – PAS has thrown its support behind MCA for the Balakong state seat by-election.

The Islamist party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang (pix) urged PAS members to back MCA in “the spirit of the Opposition”.

MCA announced its Cheras Batu 11 branch Youth chief Tan Chee Teong as its candidate to contest in the Balakong by-election. The Balakong and Seri Setia by-elections will be held concurrently, on Sept 8.

Hadi was responding to questions from reporters after naming the PAS candidate for the Seri Setia by-election last night.

PAS named former Selangor state executive councillor Dr Halimah Ali, 58, as its candidate for the Seri Setia by-election. PKR is expected to announce its candidate today.
