Does Fadiah Nadwa respect Zakir Naik’s right to free speech?

Apparently, there are limits to free speech and even the Pakatan supporters think so. But if Fadiah Nadwa and the Pakatan people think there should be no limits to free speech then say so. Abolish all those laws that curtail total and absolute free speech and turn Malaysia into a free-for-all and no-holds-barred country. I, for one, would like to condemn Chinese education/schools and not be labelled a racist.

Fadiah Nadwa Fikri wants total and absolute freedom to attack the Malays, Islam and the Raja-Raja Melayu

Human rights lawyer Fadiah Nadwa Fikri laments that Pakatan Harapan is not serious about protecting free speech. She said Pakatan should seize the moment to protect free speech and that despite the change of government on 9th May, it’s still the same old thing as before.

“Don’t let it be just mere rhetoric,” Fadiah said. “You cannot interfere when people express their opinions on things that you consider taboo. This culture of fear among Malaysians is very strong. We can’t talk about religion, race, or royalty, but at the same time, we are a democracy. It’s a big contradiction we have to address.”

Why is Zakir Naik also not allowed to condemn Christianity and Hinduism is the same spirit of democracy and free speech?

While Pakatan supporters such as Fadiah Nadwa scream out for their right to free speech to be protected, they refuse to speak up for Dr Zakir Naik’s right to free speech as well. In fact, many Pakatan supporters and leaders want Zakir Naik to be deported to India to face terrorism charges.

In short, Pakatan people want free speech just for themselves but not for others. They want their right to free speech to criticise the Malays, Islam and the Raja-Raja Melayu. But if you criticise the Chinese, Indians, Christianity and Hinduism then you are a terrorist-racist who incites hatred.

All that Zakir Naik did was to quote what the Qur’an says. If that makes him a terrorist who incites hatred then Prophet Muhammad was a terrorist and the Qur’an incites hatred. Is this what human rights lawyer Fadiah Nadwa Fikri and the rest of the Pakatan leadership are saying? And is that why they want Zakir Naik to be deported to India and to be sent to jail?

I would also like the freedom to condemn Chinese schools-education without being labelled a racist

When Zakir Naik says there is only one Qur’an but scores of Bibles what did he say wrong? Is this not true? And when he says the many Bibles contradict one another is this not also what the late Sheikh Ahmed Deedat said? And when he says Hindus are idol-worshippers is this not also what the Bible says? And are the many Bibles banned in Malaysia or India?
